Unfortunately, something has changed here. On previous visits the food was good. On this visit it was over cooked, dry and tasteless. I would not recommend this place. read more

On recommendation from hotel front desk chose here since I was craving Mexican Reviews I read almost scared me off but went anyway and really glad I went Salsa and chips were great small bowl of salsa but they did ask if I wanted more and got the cheese dip which is so good when paired with salsa Got the Camarones al mojo el dia My usual staple in Mexican Much different more garlicky than tomatoe but delicious none the less Service was slow but I believe because it was fresh cooked so I wAs happy to wait read more

Went on a Wednesday night and it was empty. The server was attentive without being overbearing, and nice, his English was just fine, and the food was delicious, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Dining partner said that this was the closest he's had to "real" Mexican food since his travels to Mexico while living in Southern California. Will definitely be back! read more

I had the vegetarian enchiladas and they were excellent. Fresh, flavorful and cooked to perfection. I will definitely go back.

Love this place. Service has been super quick and really friendly on the 3 different weeknights I've been here. Can't comment on too much of the menu because I've stuck to the Fahitas Mexicanas and the giant lime frozen Margaritas as big as my face. Yum! prices are comparible to other Mexican restaurants in York. Decor is nice, booths comfortable, fun music. read more

This restaurant is new to York, PA, but I believe they're also in Harrisburg. We wanted to check it out as soon as it opened, right across from the Super Wal-Mart. So, last weekend, we did! First off, the menu is nearly identical to El Rodeo's, but, I think the food tasted better. Maybe I wanted it to, I dunno. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and was very pleased. I also ordered an avocado salad on the side, which I think they should just include because it is very small. I had a pina colada and it was portioned correctly, no overkill on any ingredient, which was nice. My husband ordered the vegetarian special and said it was exactly the same as El Rodeo's, which he enjoys, so he was a happy camper. Our waiter was kind and cheerful, but he did take awhile to bring us the white cheese queso dip that we requested to go with our complimentary tortilla chips. The bathroom was tiny, but clean as far as small ladies' rooms go, nonetheless. We sat at our table with our friends for nearly 2 hours on a Saturday at their busiest time and were perfectly content with the atmosphere. The music was low enough that it didn't interrupt our conversation. All in all, I like the place! I will definitely go back. In fact, I like it better than El Rodeo, which is good because it's closer to my house! read more

The moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a good meal. From the smell, I knew the food was good. I'm from Chicago and we have plenty of good and authentic Mexican, so I am picky and know quality when I smell it and taste it, and this place is awesome. I was a little disappointed that they were out of lengua, so I went with the crane asada tacos and beef enchilada on the side with a strawberry margarita. Service was prompt and the food came out quickly. The enchilada was good and so were the tacos. The asada was tender and not diced up into tiny pieces. Good bite size chunks, the way it is supposed to be. If I have to come back to York for work, this place will get another visit from me read more

First time for "Mexican", big deal.Taco Bell(yet not a real restaurant) is cheaper and the same wait,....better...how can that be?...waitress did not care if I exsisted smile please? at least lie about it.....menu taken right away? I would have ordered more food....taquitos way overcooked......kids in next booth should be tied up and left in car.....dark corner, thanxx anyways....the experience pretty much sucked.....not going back.... read more

oh fiesta mexico...been here several times, most recently for a friend's bday. she swears by this place and comes here frequently so maybe it is just that we have different tastes in mexican food but i think this place is subpar! the dishes are oversalted and underflavored. i had the appetizer chicken quesidilla (the only quesidilla on the menu that comes with salsa and gauc for free, otherwise you are going to pay over a $1 for each) and 1 soft chicken taco. it was OK. not inedible but it was just kind of blah - very bland and watery. i feel like i could have (and have) made this better in my own kitchen using a mccormick taco seasoning packet. partner had three hard tacos and felt like he got skimpy portions. others at our table were not very impressed - when you order burritos grande you would think it would be a large portion? but not here. i have a pretty bad sweet tooth so i split the churros with a friend. this was the only thing that i would come back for. while others might think it makes it more "authentic" i for one am not impressed by having a server who has such a tenuous grasp of the english language that you can't even ask them if you were delivered the correct dish. 4/5 staff that we interacted with that night were non-english speakers. moral of the story: save up your pesos and go to the only slightly more expensive (but vastly superior) mexican/peruvian el serrano just down the street. read more

Served salsa and chips right away. Salsa was fresh and spicy. Ordered a pitcher of beer that was a good price, $10 for Dos Equis. Food was hot and tasty. I had the enchiladas dinner with rice and beans, portions were a nice size. I got sopapillas for dessert which was a nice way to end the meal! Overall, the prices are great and the food is fast and yummy. I will return! read more

Fiesta Mexico - Mexican Near Me - York, Pennsylvania

See all

I was not impressed with Fiesta Mexico. The first time eating here was for a lunch meeting, I had the chicken fajitas. The chicken was ok, and the onions and peppers were dripping with grease. The decor is cliche, our waitress was rather inattentive, and the food was not impressive. If you want authentic Mexican cuisine, book your flight to Mexico now. read more

This is my favorite place so far! He enchiladas verdes were good and the margarita on the rocks was just like I lik it, no sour mix. I'll come back for sure read more

The original Fiesta Mexico in Harrisburg is better than this place overall, quality, service, atmosphere but still a good alternative to the only other Mexican restaurant I like in York, El Rodeo read more

This place used to be really good! It was always our go to for Mexican 3rd period unfortunately, the quality was really off tonight. The taco salad Was a taco shell with shredded chicken, what appeared to be one slice of lettuce shredded and 1 slice of tomato With some cheese and sour cream. You used to get a nice amount of re fried beans on the bottom. There may have been 3 tablespoons of re fried beans on the bottom. There used to be way more lettuce. This did not constitute a salad by any means. One of the kids meals that we got was half the size that it used to be. I'm not sure if they changed management or are just cutting back, but their prices should reflect that, And have gone down if they're going to skimp on what their quality used to be. The taste was good, but it was not what we've been used to in the past. Hopefully this was just an off night and things will be better next time... read more

Had a good meal. Food is delicious. Service is great, except was charged extra for more tortilla shells without being told about it.

We went to Fiesta Mexico last night for dinner. It was our first time here. It seemed in the reviews that people either loved it or hated it with no in-betweens. We loved it. Our food was well prepared and delicious. John got the stead fajitas. It came out sizzling as you would expect. He raved about them. I got the chicken quesadilla fixed with fajita vegetables. Very tasty and filling. The service was attentive and polite. I don't give 5 stars mainly because there is always room from improvement, but this was close. read more

Great little restaurant. Went with my husband and mother in law. Our meals were all delicious. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. Service was very spot on and we didn't have to wait for anything. I'll be back when I'm back in the area. read more

It had been years since I was at a Mexican place so I picked this for father's day. I was impressed at the décor and the service. The food could have been a little better. Way too bland. Shortly afterward a larger group of us went there again and they were not impressed at all. I felt like a fool. I decided maybe I was wrong. read more

Good Mexican food for a good price. They keep the chips and salsa coming. Great choice, all around.

My favorite restaurant. I have been in here too many times to count and have pretty much tried everything on the menu. Everything is good... except maybe the fish taco. Not to my taste. Looks like a reworked fast food restaurant (which it is) I'm sure if it were spruced up a bit more on the outside it would draw more drive-by traffic. Don't let that put you off. Wait staff is courteous and friendly, good atmosphere, fair prices, fast service, good selection... a great combination. Highly recommended. read more

Good food and extremely friendly staff. This is one of my daughters favorite places to eat as well.

Didn't realize this was the same ownership as el rodeo in West York. Same great experience in East York. Love the price, service, and food. read more

We have been here tons of times and each time consistently amazing. Restaurant is clean, service amazing. Food on point each time. Our favorite thing that we have to order every time regardless is the chillie rellenous - beef amazing !! If you want a grander affair they do have one located right on Bass Pro Drive in Harrisburg. That is a really nice setting, much grander but same greatness !!! read more

We have eaten at this location 3 times so far, and love it! Very flavorful Mexican food! Attentive servers bring your food very quickly after ordering and it is always piping hot & fresh! Spicy without going overboard and the portions are generous. We prefer Fiesta Mexico over El Rodeo now...very glad they came to York! read more

I lived in Southern California for 10 years, and this place is right up there with the best I had in Cali. Ever since we re-located to PA, I've been craving really good Mexican food. I live in Lancaster, but will gladly drive to York just for the steak tip burrito. Small place, but great food, great service, and great prices. Beats both El Serrano & El Rodeo. read more

I live for Mexican food....so when I first tried Fiesta Mexico out in Harrisburg, I was sad because that is almost a two hour drive from my house. I think their salsa is the BEST I have ever had. Imagine my surprise and happiness when I found out that there is a Fiesta Mexico in York! Only 20 minutes from my house!! I live for their salsa and queso fundido with the chips! I try to limit the amount I eat because their portions are HUGE. I am a chile rellenos fanatic. Anywhere I hit a Mexican restaurant, I order that. But here, not so much unfortunately. It was not spicy enough for my taste. So if you like your chile rellenos spicy, forgo it here. Instead - get the chicken enchilada! It is HUGE and delicious. I prefer to make the extra ten minute trip and come to Fiesta Mexico over El Rodeo (both owned by the same person) because the salsa actually does not taste the same in these two places and if you like yours hot and garlicky, this is the place to come to! read more

It's definitely not authentic (but would I expect that here?). Either way it's great food and the prices are good too. It's one of my "go to" places to eat when I'm in York. read more

This was my fist time here, I expected a lot, because there is another Mexican restaurant down the street, that is really good. I was shocked by the lack of services and choices on the menu, we waited nearly 15 minutes for drinks, which is ridiculous, then we ordered our food. Prices are higher than Guadalajara, just up the road. I was skeptical, but kept an open mind, when our food came out the waitress handed me my plate which was scolding hot. The portion sizes aren't what i expected, because Guadalajara's portion sizes are plentiful and usually end up taking some home. Flavoring was minimal and didn't see the waitress until she handed us the bill, the prices were high and service lacked. Won't come back here, if you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant, I recommend going up the road to Guadalajara. read more

I was SEVERELY disappointed in this place. We gave it a shot after having a couple other great experiences at a few other mexican places and couldn't have been more appalled to find bugs in the cheese. After complaining to the waiter, his immediate reply was 'well, it happens'. After asking to speak to the manager, the waiter (not the manager) came back and said 'my manager said we can take your wife's meal off the bill'. I couldn't believe that they didn't even acknowledge how gross it was. Please watch yourself if you choose to eat here! read more

Typically very fast and consistent food in an informal, casual atmosphere. It's one of our favorite Mexican restaurants when we're in the mood for exactly that. read more

I love Fiesta Mexico and have been coming here since the York location opened. I realize that the food is Americanized, but it's delicious and has generous portions. Usually when I go there are other families in the dining room speaking Spanish and I figure you can tell a place is good if Hispanohablantes eat there. I've never had anything that I didn't like and their prices are very reasonable. I usually get the chicken fajitas and they make them for me without peppers The servers are sweet and attentive. Please skip Taco Bell and make your way over to Fiesta Mexico. read more

Always get fast service and never worry about going home hungry! I always order the fajitas, amazing!!!

We love this place!!! The service is always wonderful- everyone is nice and smiling! The prices, whether it be food or drink, are great!! We love our fish bowl margaritas and they have great ones! The tables and chairs are all carved beautifully and are spacious so you're not squished with all your chips and salsa and drinks and plates etc. Food is awesome- I never get the same thing twice because i'm always anxious to try something new (whatever it is, it's good!). I would definitely recommend to anyone! read more
