Their portions are huge (everyday is Thanksgiving!), so better walk in with an appetite. The yellow-green dip (aji sauce?!) is unlike anything i've ever tasted and I love it with the bread. Lomo Saltado (favourite), and some roast chicken dish (don't remember the spanish name) were good- well balanced flavours. Service is a little languid, but OK. Ambience is a little dreary as well. Ordered chaufa last week and it was an absolute disgrace, I called half an hour for my to be ready for pick up and it still wasn't ready!!!!! I had to wait an extra 15 minutes and when I got home THE CHAUFA didn't even look like chaufa the rice was basically white and little to no meat!!!! I order chaufa MIXTO and I only got a little bit. Alright. I have pretty much have had it with the awful service at this restaurant. My family and I REALLY enjoy the food here, but the service is almost unbearable. The girls are very clueless. There are maybe 2 that are pretty attentive, but the rest stand around chatting most of the time. Even when we're actively trying to get their attention (literally flailing our arms), they don't notice most of the time. About twice out of the handful of times one of us have actually gone up and asked for something because a simple request of more bread, sauce, or water took over 30 minutes. Even leaving we asked for our things to be wrapped. Actually, we just asked for the boxes. We didn't want to bother them, so we wanted to do it ourselves. Over half an hour later, we still didn't have them so we had to go up to the 'manager', and we received a new waitress (I believe we had 3 different ones that night). To make matters worse, they automatically charge you a 20% tip on top of the overpriced menu items. Don't be fooled and add more at the bottom. Read your receipt. I am all for tipping, but call me crazy when I don't like to wait 40 minutes for more water... My suggestion? Skip the sit-in. ORDER OUT. It'll save you the stress. read more

Excellent experience for us. Service was attentive, and food was tasty. The grilled beef heart appetizer had a nice savory sauce. Two skewers is a good deal for 7 bucks. The range was from medium to rare, so if the rare is too rare for you, then you may have to send back. It was for me, but I couldn't resist it, anyway. The ceviche is huge. Our waitress suggested the mixed. It came with shrimp, calamari, one clam, and a white fish. It was spicy(on request), and citrusy. I don't think it's the best around, but very good. Finally, the roasted chicken was delicious. 7.50 for a half of bird with a very nice salad and white rice. We were in and out in an hour, and still able to make our movie. Always the best food and service! The lomo saltado is an all-time favorite and I order it pretty much everytime. I've also had the chicken dish which is a very generous serving (as most of the dishes are) and it was also fantastic. The service was great and so was the pisco sour. My only complain had nothing to do with the food and more to do with being comfortable. After attempting to search for Peruvian food, I decided to settle with getting food from here for takeout. Unfortunately, I was disappointed even before eating the food. I called at 8pm to place an order for pickup and came into the restaurant 45 minutes after to get the food. When I got to the cashier, the woman at the front tells me that she can't find my order and it was never placed. She then continues to tell me it won't take long because it's just chicken and salad. I decided to wait because It was already late but I didn't think I would have to wait and chase someone down to check on my order. This whole experience was just very frustrating. The part that bothered me most was that she wasn't even empathetic about it nor bothered to make sure I got my order. It looks like the reviews were right about the poor service, food quality, and continuously messing up orders. Not only that, but the half chicken was oily (oil literally leaking out the bag), certain parts of the chicken was a little too pink (not fully cooked), and the chicken lacked seasoning. Overall, I wasn't impressed at ALL and I surely won't be returning nor recommending this restaurant to anyone. read more

We absolutely love fiesta My wife and I frequent here often. The chaulfas are great! Another one of her favorites is there fried calamari always crispy and delicious. They have the excellent yellow sauce and bread that is always a must. The only real complaint we have is that there is no benefit to being a regular we are regulars and they've never once given us a discount or free soda or anything kind of makes you feel unappreciated. That's the real reason we gave it four stars instead of five I like feeling appreciated as a customer especially if I'm a regular. read more

Used to love this place but lately they have been more miss than hit. Lomo has very little meat and the meat that's in it is fatty. When ordering to go you are charged for bread but when you dine in you receive bread at the table for no charge. Am I missing something? I am ordering the same food when dining in as I do to go but have to pay more...? Ceviche mix skip it or just order shrimp because the calamari is so chewy, it actually made me gag. I eat their pollo saltado practically every day of the week. Chicken, bell peppers, rice and french fries (yes, french fries).... Seriously, try it. It's really that good. As for the service, yes, some people seem less outgoing than others, but that's O.K. in my book because I've never had problems getting seating or food promptly. Besides, I'm here for the food. I've been here a few times before so I knew that in general, the food is good. The portions are generous and the dishes are flavorful. However, based on my most recent visit, there are negatives. First, the hotdog & fries (which server recommended my young son) is EXTREMELY salty. If you have high blood pressure like me, this is a death sentence. I order a seafood ceviche. It turns out to be SUPER SOUR. It literally swims in lemon juice /soup. Inedible. The place is understaffed so its quite hard to get the server's attention. Great take out. On a Sunday afternoon, the place was packed! The cashier/ hostess was very friendly. We loved the roast chicken, maduros, and yucca frita. All fantastic. Food was very good! Had the jalea it was huge! I split it with my boyfriend and we could only finish about 1/2. The only reason I don't give then five stars is because of the service. They have many waiters and waitresses but they all seem to group and converse with each other instead of checking up on their tables. I came to dine at this "restaurant" with my mom, aunt, and grandmother. The service at this place is horrendous, and their staff needs to undergo proper training and etiquette to serve its customers. I've been here a few times, so I am speaking from experience, yet never bothered to write a review until this last time. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately, yet didn't have a server come up to us until about 10-15 minutes later. When she arrived, my family noticed that she came over with an attitude, and wasn't offering the service that a server should give at a restaurant especially when they ADDED 20% gratuity on the bill. That is ILLEGAL and is only mandatory with parties of 6 or more (I've worked in restaurants for 4 years in college). Also, when they brought over my grandma's dish which was seafood with a soup-like broth, they brought it over with a TEASPOON. She proceeded to ask for a tablespoon, and the waiter goes "that is a tablespoon". Excuse me? So he then disappears for another 10 minutes and finally brings the tablespoon over. Furthermore, each waiter (there were 3 that we had throughout our meal) and they all disappeared on us and couldn't be found whenever we needed something. When they would come over, they would leave so quickly that we didn't have time to ask for whatever else we needed. My food also stayed cold for a half hour waiting for someone to wrap it up to-go and bring our bill. We will never be returning here. Their food isn't even that good. I love the food at Fiesta Limeña but the service at this place is terrible !!! We arrived and we were seated right away but the server took our order and she looked miserable, we said nothing and 10 mints later we get our drinks, we said nothing again then 30 mints later I see the people that came after me were getting their order so I asked what's going on with my order and she says it's coming, I said ok.... 15 mints when by and no order so at this moment I'm pissed!! We only ordered 3 lomo saltado !! The host came in and assured me my order was coming so We decided to wait for few minutes more then the order comes in finally !! but I no longer have drinks, once again the server is no where to be found. We decided to just finish the food, pay and leave. We received the check and found that the server added her tip !!! Really !! Leaving a tip is not mandatory to give, plus her service sucked !! I received my order 1 hour later in what universe this is ok. Adding the gratuity is illegal !!!. I could understand if we were a big party but we were 3 !!! I'm filing my complain with the dept of consumer protection. Sorry Fiesta but you lost a valuable customer. read more

The food here for the most part is pretty good. However I can't speak for most of the seafood dishes. The fried shrimp and squid are good. I really like the 1/2 chicken and the milanesa and yellow sauce. Salads are your average ice burg lettuce variety but the dressing is good. It can be a bit crowded and understaffed and the service time is less then desirable. I would say go early because wait times can be long. Try the Sangria and Inca Cola. read more

I'm writing the same review for the Stamford and Norwalk locations and giving it FIVE STARS!!! I suppose service is a little slow but I'm not paying $12 for a meal to be pampered. Some food highlights: The free yellow sauce with the bread is out of this world. Ask for seconds and dip everything in it. Anticuchos (beef heart) appetizer is big enough to be a meal and so incredibly flavorful and tender. I get this every time. Ceviche for $13 is meant to be an appetizer I think but is big enough for TWO meals in my opinion. All I can say is that it's awesome. There's this fish soup for $6 that seriously has about a pound of fish in it. Really good and a massive bargain for $6. Pescado entero frito is a whole fried snapper (lightly fried, very nice) and is very filling and fun to eat! Probably my favorite entree. Pollo/lomo saltado are also very popular Saltado Marisco, i think it's called, is a cooked entree at the bottom of the seafood menu and is very good. Portions are huge, prices are tiny, and I think this is the place I would miss the most if it left the area. Definitely in my top 3 places to eat around here. read more

The staff is lovely. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star review is because of the wait for the bathroom.
