This is the first time there. The service was great the owner explained everything to me was very patient and polite. The food was very flavorful oxtails were very tender. Everything I got there it was very good.. you can't say it was expensive because it's expensive no matter where you go. He's right in line with everyone else and the amount of food you get for your money is a lot. I would rate him higher than a five star. read more

Super small take out restaurant right off of exit 14 off 95 south. Coworkers and myself went to grab lunch. I got the medium jerk chicken lunch and he got the medium ox tails. Chicken and ox tails were both flavored well and the meat was succulent however the oxtails weren't as fall off the bone as we hoped. Rice and peas comes with the meal and that had a very rich flavor. The cabbage was good. The staff on the other hand is less than polite. When asked what else they offered we were told to look at the menu for ourselves and weren't greeted etc when walking in or leaving. The restaurant itself is a bit dirty around the countertops. No leftovers is a Caribbean inspired "hole in the wall" with fantastic Jamaican jerk takeout specials! Positioned off Connecticut Ave, don't be fooled by the outward appearance. Inside could use a more thorough cleaning but the jerk chicken, peas and rice, and cole slaw was super flavorful and a great value. I would say hands down this is the best Jamaican restaurant in the area. The meals are cooked in the traditional Jamaican way (the drum pan for the jerk) and with the right flavorful spices. Best yet, they don't run out of food options by dinner time! I usually stop by when I'm in town for a few days. The owner is very friendly and appreciative of the support of this relatively new business. The location is a prime location with tons of traffic passing by. I've also never had an issue with parking. While the place is no frills it is still clean which is very important. The only concern I have is the prices are relatively high in comparison to other take out restaurants in the area. The portions are good but if the price were reduced, they would definitely be a 5 star location. read more

I've been on Jamaican food frenzy this week.. I reviewed another place in Stamford which was great and so is this place.. the flavor IMO is better here however the oxtails weren't as tender, fall off of the bone but the Jamaican gravy is definitely one of the best I've had.. portions were huge too. This is me giving this place a second chance after my chicken and rice was gross and me being promised the next time I came back the food will be better. Ever since enjoying the jerk chicken from street vendors outside of Montego Bay in Jamaica over 30 years ago I've been hunting for the same here in the Northeast. New York City, Fairfield County, Newark NJ have jerk chicken establishments but they don't hold a candle IMO to the genuine street food you get in Jamaica. In Indiana there was a street vendor called Golden Glo Chicken which came very close to the texture of what i was looking for but not the spicy taste. Finally I found what I was looking for. Recently opened "No Leftovers" is in the old Swanky Franks location on Post Road in Norwalk. It's a non-descript building and the zoning doesn't allow the kind of signage needed to get the attention of jerk lovers. I write this to make sure it gets plenty of business to keep them there for a long time. I ordered to go the whole jerk chicken and an order of oxtail with rice and beans and cabbage. The chicken was perfectly cooked and spiced to perfection. Too often IMO jerk chicken is overcooked ruining the experience. This was tender and moist even the breast meat. Oxtail can be fatty ... theirs is meaty and robust in flavor. The rice and beans and cabbage as good as it gets. There are bottles of sauce you can select from to add to your order. One a spicy jerk sauce, another jerk sauce less hot and finally a hot sauce which I'm hoping they'll sell by the bottle if they don't already. It was quite hot and incredibly flavorful. The prices are very reasonable and they do take credit cards. Not sure I'll ever get to try their jerk pork or the other Jamaican offerings like fried whole whitefish ... because their chicken and oxtail is so good. If you're heading south on 95 and exit at exit 14, you'll be facing No Leftovers when you stop at the traffic light at the intersection of Route 1 Post Road. A big sign too high up in my opinion reads Jerk Chicken Jerk Pork sits well above the building. The name No Leftovers doesn't appear anywhere i could see. read more

I really love this place. I have been here a few times and have always been greeted warmly by the owners/employees. It seems like a nice family establishment, if your into that type of thing definitely go and throw your cash at them, they really deserve it. Although they do now take credit cards, YAY! I've been to the a few Caribbean islands and man is this authentic. The food is killer, the jerk has great flavor with the right amount of kick to it. Curried Goat and Ox Tail are nice and rich and packed with flavor. Love the beef patties. You get rice and if you wish cabbage, with each dish. Get the cabbage, really complements the meals. Was walking out of REI last week, about 11:15am, thinking of where to grab a quick lunch to go. Smelled the amazing smoke coming from across the street, as No Leftovers grills much of their meats outside. Super nice server at the counter first said the Jerked Pork wasn't ready yet, but said she'd check with the chef outside. Lucky for me, they were just taking a full pork butt off the grill. Amazing Can't say I've ever tasted a grilled pork as good as this. Just the right amount of jerk flavor, hot right off the grill with a thin crispyiness on the outside while still being incredibly moist on the inside. I'll return frequently. If your in the area and looking for an east Caribbean lunch, this place is absolutely the best. read more

If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food this is not the place to go and the owner is very unprofessional. They tried to sell us day old dry jerk chicken plastered with bbq sauce and had the nerve to say it's a new version of jerk chicken. I'm Jamaican and the taste and cooking hasn't changed. Dry tasteless chicken. When I spoke to the owner who had already taken offense I said there's no need to react like he's crazy. Cursed us out and was real nasty. Will never revisit this place! If you don't know what the cuisine tastes like it may seem ok to you. But I'm sure Jamaicans will pass on by because this doesn't cut it. read more

I wish I could have given this place more stars but my experience with the unfriendly staff and disappointing meal has deemed No Leftovers a one star restaurant. Went on a Sunday afternoon in May with my Boyfriend and they were not busy at all. The woman behind the counter preparing the orders was extremely rude and condescending to my boyfriend and I. It made the both of us very uncomfortable. My family and friends had spoken so highly of this place so I was genuinely excited to try it. But when I got home to eat my jerk chicken I found that the bones had been chopped up into tiny pieces and were mixed into my entire dish. I wasn't impressed by the flavors by any means. I've seen this place a few times going home to NJ. Every time I miss the turn to get off the highway and during this weekend trip, I was determined to get it right. So glad we did. We pulled up around 2:30PM and it looked quiet. I sat in the car and my husband came out shortly with two large trays of chicken and festival. While he took my daughter to use the restroom, I couldn't wait to try this chicken. Remember I've been seeing this spot for a couple months now and I was not disappointed. We ended up eating infront of the restaurant and was a little embarrassed when I noticed other customers started to fill up the parking lot. After we finished up eating, a very nice man knocked on our minvivan window and gave us some more chicken(the big piece in the picture). We got a lot of chicken and were so happy with the all dark meat. I always have to beg other Jamaican places in NJ(well only 2 place because I'm picky about my jerk chicken) for dark meat only. I'm so happy. This jerk chicken is not baked but actually jerked on a legit jerk pan/grill. The festivals were huge and fluffy. My family also likes spicy and the sauce was just perfect. Before we received the extra chicken, we were rating this place against our go to places in NJ. We stumbled on it late one night after a hockey game in Norwalk and since then have made several trips just for some of that delicious chicken. They usually have a smoker going right out in the parking lot and the smoky flavor in the chicken really shines through. My recco: get the jerk chicken with oxtail gravy and cabbage side. Don't be afraid of the "extremely hot" sauce on the counter - it is an absolute habanero/scotch bonnet flavor bomb that's definitely spicy but not stupid hot. Real deal Jamaican food comes to Connecticut! I grew up eating Jamaican home cooking, and this is the best I have had outside of Jamaica or at home. Just walking in, from the smells alone, I knew I had found what I have been looking for after many years. The staff is friendly, happy to give samples to the uninitiated, and they use top quality ingredients. My 11-year old hadn't had Jamaican food before, and after one visit become a devotee. Don't be thrown off by the roadside location or the feel -- to me, it only adds to the authenticity. Jerk pork was not thoroughly cooked; jerk chicken was likely not grilled long enough to bring out authentic jerk taste. the meat was white with some jerk sauce sprinkled trying to make up for the clear evidence of undercooked meat. Rice was decent. In addition, what authentic Jamaican restaurant does not give you a side of cabbage and plantain as part of the total meal. Owners, respect your customers enough to source quality meat. Your prices need to be in line with food quality. Jerk Chicken was really dry - even the dark meat. Was craving some good jerk favor - not satisfied. Barely any flavor (salt less, tasted boiled, no smoke flavor) and the meat was way over cooked. We drove by and saw the jerk chicken on the grill and knew this was the spot. The staff honestly made our day and the food did not disappoint. My husband is new to Jamacian food so he stuck to curry chicken which he knows he enjoys. I ordered my much loved oxtail and saw the portion and knew we'd have to return for the jerk chicken. The sweet gentleman who was the grill master outside literally chased us down to make sure we got a chicken leg. Holy cow am I ever glad he did. . . Hands down the best I have had in years. What a nice find in the Norwalk area of CT.  This is definitely a humble mom and pop restaurant worth a visit if you are interested in good, soulful Jamaican food.  Limited Indoor and outdoor seating available (self serve style).  The manager and staff were friendly and accommodating.  Select menu which must be fresh because they serve what they have available at the time.  We showed up 1.5hours before closing so options were limited.  We had jerk chicken and pork; both delicious.  I'm not a sauce fan, but a patron convinced me that it's a must ADD when having their food.  The home made sauces were delicious.  We tried the jerk chicken and pork.  The fresh juices were very good too.  It wasn't available but the other customers were raving about the beef patties, Mac and cheese and oxtail.  We plan to return back to try some day. read more
