TRAAAASH I walked in and asked for two of the $5 specials. I did this by saying "can I have two of the $5 Specials" While assembling the order, the woman behind the counter asked a couple of questions that sounded like standard options (rice, beans, sauce), and I said yes. There was no indication these would increase the price- or that what she was asking me was different than what I ordered. When she showed me the total, it was $37. I questioned it and repeated that I asked for the $5 specials, unsure of how confusion was even possible. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and honestly uncomfortable. She seemed smug & happy with herself when she told me that the special was "jerk chicken rice - you got jerk chicken" **which I never asked for** At that point I was hungry and she wasn't worth the argument or energy, so I paid. Nothing on the menu reasonably adds up to what I was charged. What an absolutely psychotic experience. Food was ok at best. read more

There's always traffic in Norwalk so decided to stop for a snack. Just intended to get a beef patty and keep it moving but there were signs outside and the prices posted reasonable so ordered the jerk chicken wings.. they were definitely real grilled. They were tasty and had that slight kick of heat like real jerk does. Saw the fried chicken in the window and it looked so good. Tried a piece and that was good as well. And finally the beef patty, this was just what I was looking for! Customer service was on point and cant wait to go back for more. I want to try the oxtail, the goat, and the rice. This place hit the spot and brought me back to life! read more

I should have listened to the reviews lol. Ordered for delivery through grub hub the large jerk chicken Rasta pasta. I'm mad that my jerk. Chicken was dry as FCK and not as seasoned. Then they gave me a side of sauce, which I thought was jerk sauce, but it was like a barbecue spicy sauce that did not pair well with the jerk chicken in my opinion and then I thought the Rasta pasta was goin to have the chicken inside of it, but they gave me a whole foil container can full of dry jerk. Do yall foo's ever try the food before you serve it to your customers???? lol. Thank God, I didn't have to pay for this out of my pocket. If you're going to serve People jerk chicken, then give them jerk sauce and if you're gonna make a jerk chicken Rasta pasta then put the meat inside of it! I ordered jerk wings, dry asf too. and that's why you received one star. read more

This review is based on my firsthand experiences as a customer of the businesses on May 18,2024. This listing is another example of why you should always verify the info you see on Yelp. This business is NOT closed. It just has a new name... Osu Jerk Grill. Still the best jerk chicken this side of the Rock, and great Jamaican style rice and beans. They also sell their fantastic jerk sauce by the bottle. read more

Yelp did us right by leading us to this gem! You may have driven past it a million times. Its definitely worth a stop. The food was really good (jerk chicken meal with rice, oxtail gravy, plantains &cabbage) and if you get the chef/owner (Loy) talking, you'll feel like your in an old friend's backyard. There are some tables next to the parking area. Or take food to go. read more

Super small take out restaurant right off of exit 14 off 95 south. Coworkers and myself went to grab lunch. I got the medium jerk chicken lunch and he got the medium ox tails. Chicken and ox tails were both flavored well and the meat was succulent however the oxtails weren't as fall off the bone as we hoped. Rice and peas comes with the meal and that had a very rich flavor. The cabbage was good. The staff on the other hand is less than polite. When asked what else they offered we were told to look at the menu for ourselves and weren't greeted etc when walking in or leaving. The restaurant itself is a bit dirty around the countertops. They do take credit card and have parking read more

This is the first time there. The service was great the owner explained everything to me was very patient and polite. The food was very flavorful oxtails were very tender. Everything I got there it was very good.. you can't say it was expensive because it's expensive no matter where you go. He's right in line with everyone else and the amount of food you get for your money is a lot. I would rate him higher than a five star. read more

Outrageously expensive. $20 for 2 pieces of fish, greens and rice and peas (mostly rice not peas.) $5 for a cherry drink.... With tip and tax, $28 for a modest lunch. No prices posted... pretty sure I got charged more than the LatinX family in front of me. Never again. read more

No leftovers is a Caribbean inspired "hole in the wall" with fantastic Jamaican jerk takeout specials! Positioned off Connecticut Ave, don't be fooled by the outward appearance. Inside could use a more thorough cleaning but the jerk chicken, peas and rice, and cole slaw was super flavorful and a great value. Takes me back to my time spent in the Caribbean with homemade Bahamian and Jamaican cooking. Can't wait to try other takeout items soon. read more

Always a hit. I love that this restaurant is open on Sundays, very rare for a Jamaican restaurant. I also love that the food is never dry or watered down. If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food No leftovers is the spot. read more

I would say hands down this is the best Jamaican restaurant in the area. The meals are cooked in the traditional Jamaican way (the drum pan for the jerk) and with the right flavorful spices. Best yet, they don't run out of food options by dinner time! I usually stop by when I'm in town for a few days. The owner is very friendly and appreciative of the support of this relatively new business. The location is a prime location with tons of traffic passing by. I've also never had an issue with parking. While the place is no frills it is still clean which is very important. The only concern I have is the prices are relatively high in comparison to other take out restaurants in the area. The portions are good but if the price were reduced, they would definitely be a 5 star location. read more

We had oxtail and Curry lamb dinner. Everything taste great i love the oxtail is not salty and Curry lamb melt in the mouth. Will definitely come back again. Authentic Jamaican food my jameican friend would have agreed. read more

I've been on Jamaican food frenzy this week.. I reviewed another place in Stamford which was great and so is this place.. the flavor IMO is better here however the oxtails weren't as tender, fall off of the bone but the Jamaican gravy is definitely one of the best I've had.. portions were huge too. My co worker loved the curry goat and the stewed chicken, price is fair. It's 5 minutes from the office and I'll definitely go back. read more

Terrible service and terrible food. I ordered chicken, not chicken bones. Pretty overpriced for what you get. A medium is 75% rice topped with scraps of meat. read more

Please do yourself, your taste buds, and your wallet a favor and steer entirely clear. The food at this establishment was absolutely disgusting. This is me giving this place a second chance after my chicken and rice was gross and me being promised the next time I came back the food will be better. The jerk pork I got this time was over cooked and ridiculously dry, and when I asked if I could simply have another item, my request was denied. Said he wouldn't be bothered, terrible staff, overprice food, and a disgusting experience overall. Ambience is not important to me overall because food should be the star of the show, but sadly that wasn't even PASSABLE read more

Authentic Jamaican food. Loved the jerk chicken. The beef patties were yummy and the fried chicken ... lordy!!! They also sold caribbean black cake which was delightful. Don't forget to pick up some of their jerk sauce... amazing!!! read more

Went there for some takeaway but arrived at closing time. Still, they were so nice to stay and take care of me. Their humor and kindness are a perfect example of why we should support small businesses. Their positive vibe is infectious, and I left with a feeling that confirms my faith in humanity. How was the food? Well, let's just say you should make it your next meal.... You will thank me. read more

Ever since enjoying the jerk chicken from street vendors outside of Montego Bay in Jamaica over 30 years ago I've been hunting for the same here in the Northeast. New York City, Fairfield County, Newark NJ have jerk chicken establishments but they don't hold a candle IMO to the genuine street food you get in Jamaica. In Indiana there was a street vendor called Golden Glo Chicken which came very close to the texture of what i was looking for but not the spicy taste. Finally I found what I was looking for. Recently opened "No Leftovers" is in the old Swanky Franks location on Post Road in Norwalk. It's a non-descript building and the zoning doesn't allow the kind of signage needed to get the attention of jerk lovers. I write this to make sure it gets plenty of business to keep them there for a long time. I ordered to go the whole jerk chicken and an order of oxtail with rice and beans and cabbage. The chicken was perfectly cooked and spiced to perfection. Too often IMO jerk chicken is overcooked ruining the experience. This was tender and moist even the breast meat. Oxtail can be fatty ... theirs is meaty and robust in flavor. The rice and beans and cabbage as good as it gets. There are bottles of sauce you can select from to add to your order. One a spicy jerk sauce, another jerk sauce less hot and finally a hot sauce which I'm hoping they'll sell by the bottle if they don't already. It was quite hot and incredibly flavorful. The prices are very reasonable and they do take credit cards. Not sure I'll ever get to try their jerk pork or the other Jamaican offerings like fried whole whitefish ... because their chicken and oxtail is so good. If you're heading south on 95 and exit at exit 14, you'll be facing No Leftovers when you stop at the traffic light at the intersection of Route 1 Post Road. A big sign too high up in my opinion reads Jerk Chicken Jerk Pork sits well above the building. The name No Leftovers doesn't appear anywhere i could see. read more

Pros: Right off of the i95 exit 13 Parking lot (can fill up very quickly) They cook with food that doesn't have any heroines added and more organic ingredients Cons: Small location with very limited seating area inside Not currently taking credit cards (cash only) Currently not a huge selection of food on menu No website or order online option available Food wasn't really good Final thoughts: They just opened up. Hopefully in the future they listen to their customers feedback, start taking card, add more spices and seasoning to their food and have a more diverse menu. read more

I really love this place. I have been here a few times and have always been greeted warmly by the owners/employees. It seems like a nice family establishment, if your into that type of thing definitely go and throw your cash at them, they really deserve it. Although they do now take credit cards, YAY! I've been to the a few Caribbean islands and man is this authentic. The food is killer, the jerk has great flavor with the right amount of kick to it. Curried Goat and Ox Tail are nice and rich and packed with flavor. Love the beef patties. You get rice and if you wish cabbage, with each dish. Get the cabbage, really complements the meals. Lots of food for a good price. read more

Tasty, hot, and well priced. I ordered a few beef patties, some plantains, and sweet chili wings. The food came fast and was fresh. Give them a try! read more

Was walking out of REI last week, about 11:15am, thinking of where to grab a quick lunch to go. Smelled the amazing smoke coming from across the street, as No Leftovers grills much of their meats outside. Super nice server at the counter first said the Jerked Pork wasn't ready yet, but said she'd check with the chef outside. Lucky for me, they were just taking a full pork butt off the grill. Amazing Can't say I've ever tasted a grilled pork as good as this. Just the right amount of jerk flavor, hot right off the grill with a thin crispyiness on the outside while still being incredibly moist on the inside. I'll return frequently. If your in the area and looking for an east Caribbean lunch, this place is absolutely the best. read more

I wish I could have given this place more stars but my experience with the unfriendly staff and disappointing meal has deemed No Leftovers a one star restaurant. Went on a Sunday afternoon in May with my Boyfriend and they were not busy at all. The woman behind the counter preparing the orders was extremely rude and condescending to my boyfriend and I. It made the both of us very uncomfortable. My family and friends had spoken so highly of this place so I was genuinely excited to try it. But when I got home to eat my jerk chicken I found that the bones had been chopped up into tiny pieces and were mixed into my entire dish. I wasn't impressed by the flavors by any means. I am willing to give this place one more chance but it's on the bottom of my list due to poor, unprofessional customer service. read more

If you are looking for authentic Jamaican food this is not the place to go and the owner is very unprofessional. They tried to sell us day old dry jerk chicken plastered with bbq sauce and had the nerve to say it's a new version of jerk chicken. I'm Jamaican and the taste and cooking hasn't changed. Dry tasteless chicken. When I spoke to the owner who had already taken offense I said there's no need to react like he's crazy. Cursed us out and was real nasty. Will never revisit this place! If you don't know what the cuisine tastes like it may seem ok to you. But I'm sure Jamaicans will pass on by because this doesn't cut it. read more

I've seen this place a few times going home to NJ. Every time I miss the turn to get off the highway and during this weekend trip, I was determined to get it right. So glad we did. We pulled up around 2:30PM and it looked quiet. I sat in the car and my husband came out shortly with two large trays of chicken and festival. While he took my daughter to use the restroom, I couldn't wait to try this chicken. Remember I've been seeing this spot for a couple months now and I was not disappointed. We ended up eating infront of the restaurant and was a little embarrassed when I noticed other customers started to fill up the parking lot. After we finished up eating, a very nice man knocked on our minvivan window and gave us some more chicken(the big piece in the picture). We got a lot of chicken and were so happy with the all dark meat. I always have to beg other Jamaican places in NJ(well only 2 place because I'm picky about my jerk chicken) for dark meat only. I'm so happy. This jerk chicken is not baked but actually jerked on a legit jerk pan/grill. The festivals were huge and fluffy. My family also likes spicy and the sauce was just perfect. Before we received the extra chicken, we were rating this place against our go to places in NJ. This made my day and we will definitely return as long as we don't miss the turn off the highway. read more

No Leftovers!?! Ha! You will have plenty of leftovers with this nasty food! Mine went in the garbage. The name of the restaurant lured me in, plus I like Jamaican food. But this one is an exception. I don't know who is leaving these great reviews but they must have no taste buds or these reviews are being written by family and friends because the food is NO good. No bueno. No lie. Just no. I hate to leave a negative review but this was just horrible. I had high hopes. So much so I went there twice and each time was worse than the other. I really wanted to like it. I've eaten plenty Jamaican food in my life and this is the worst I've ever had. Raw pork (I hope I don't have some parasitic worm now), mushy-overcooked rice, nasty sauce/gravy, and childish tasting condiments ("jerk sauce"). Besides their unimpressive meal; the "men" who work there have 0 customer service skills, ridiculously tactless and asked inappropriate questions to a married woman. They kept laughing amongst each other like stupid hyenas. I was uncomfortable. I will NEVER return. Just all-around bad. read more

I've had jerk chicken and Jamaican curry all up and down the east coast. No Leftovers is hands-down the best, most flavorful, most generous and FRIENDLIEST place I've ever been. We stumbled on it late one night after a hockey game in Norwalk and since then have made several trips just for some of that delicious chicken. They usually have a smoker going right out in the parking lot and the smoky flavor in the chicken really shines through. My recco: get the jerk chicken with oxtail gravy and cabbage side. Don't be afraid of the "extremely hot" sauce on the counter - it is an absolute habanero/scotch bonnet flavor bomb that's definitely spicy but not stupid hot. The chefs genuinely seem to be having a great time and they are super appreciative when you compliment them. And you surely will, unless you're a crazy baldhead from Babylon, overstand? read more

Delicious, every single time, on every item they sell. Oxtail, jerk, curry goat, always flavor on point, always tender.

DELICIOUS!!!! Jerk chicken, jerk pork, curry, fish, cabbage, rice. Yum! So good! Worth it!

Real deal Jamaican food comes to Connecticut! I grew up eating Jamaican home cooking, and this is the best I have had outside of Jamaica or at home. Just walking in, from the smells alone, I knew I had found what I have been looking for after many years. The staff is friendly, happy to give samples to the uninitiated, and they use top quality ingredients. My 11-year old hadn't had Jamaican food before, and after one visit become a devotee. Don't be thrown off by the roadside location or the feel -- to me, it only adds to the authenticity. But takeout is easy (it's literally right off of Exit 14 on I-95 South) and it keeps well for a 20 minute drive home for us. So good I signed up for Yelp! just to post! read more

15 minutes ago No lunch special on the jerk chicken and pork. Two plates cost 38.29. I am disappointed. Jerk pork was not thoroughly cooked; jerk chicken was likely not grilled long enough to bring out authentic jerk taste. the meat was white with some jerk sauce sprinkled trying to make up for the clear evidence of undercooked meat. Rice was decent. In addition, what authentic Jamaican restaurant does not give you a side of cabbage and plantain as part of the total meal. Owners, respect your customers enough to source quality meat. Your prices need to be in line with food quality. It's disappointing that when supporting black businesses that we often encounter inconsistencies in service, food quality and taste. Get it together. read more

We drove by and saw the jerk chicken on the grill and knew this was the spot. The staff honestly made our day and the food did not disappoint. My husband is new to Jamacian food so he stuck to curry chicken which he knows he enjoys. I ordered my much loved oxtail and saw the portion and knew we'd have to return for the jerk chicken. The sweet gentleman who was the grill master outside literally chased us down to make sure we got a chicken leg. Holy cow am I ever glad he did. . . Hands down the best I have had in years.
