Don't waste your time Went here to eat, expecting it to be a restaurant with very good menu but instead it was supposed to be Mexican. The waiter was rude and condescending and the food was the worst that we encountered while our trip to Missoula. We have been here to the area twice before we've never had food this bad . My husband was nauseous after eating, and the food was not even average. When the waiter was told, it was not good. He made some comment that he ate it all which he did not, I ordered a cheese enchilada with chili, con queso and he argued that I ordered a quesadilla and that they don't have cheese sauce for the enchiladas. The condiments of guacamole and sour cream were mixed. We asked for lemon and he brought two very small slices. I asked for tomatoes and he did not supply them never refilled the drinks and the food for a child's plate and one entrée was $41. If you want Mexican and you're in Missoula, go to EL Cazador. I prefer this location over the one on Brooks Street. I have probably been here about 15 times total, usually for lunch. The food always is delivered piping hot. Although I wouldn't consider their food to be authentic Mexican food, it is good. Having moved to Montana from California where good Mexican food can be found at just about very corner, Fiesta En Jalisco lacks in the authenticity department. I would consider their food to be Americanized Mexican food, but nonetheless, you can still find some pretty delicious menu items. I would suggest not ordering the tacos. Instead of serving them on fried tortillas, they use prepackaged taco shells. I am still baffled by that one. How is that even okay? I didn't want to eat in as I'm at the tail end of a dramatic k-drama on Netflix. So I ordered for pick up. The person on the phone was polite and it was easy to order. I got the two chimichanga plate (they're a weakness of mine). One shredded beef and the other shredded chicken. I asked for no sour cream, guacamole or pico de gallo as I don't really like it. And because I don't like stressed salads I asked for no salad as well. I pick up my order at the quoted time of 15 minutes and it was there waiting for me. I paid the $17.04 plus tip and walked out the door all in less than 5 minutes. So far I'm a happy girl. I do want to mention that I wanted to try this place a few days ago and the satnav took me right there but the building suggested a steak house as does the name on everything. So if you're looking for this place and you come to a log- cabin restaurant and everything says rowdy's on the front... you're in the right place. I will say that I'm glad I chose carry out as they have Pepsi products and I'm a Diet Coke girl. I get back to the hotel discover that they have wrapped the bottom plate in foil. Then they put another plate on top and wrapped that in foil. I got a huge bag of chips and a 3 oz cup of salsa. Salsa is good but if you can't handle spice, it might be a tad too hot for you. I like heat in my salsa so I like it. The rice is good. The beans are good. The shredded beef and the shredded chicken are good. All around I really enjoy it. They did forget to give me a knife so I had to eat it with just a fork but it was really good. 10/10 would definitely recommend 10/10 would definitely come back... but probably only for take out as they don't have coke products. I was here with my family few weeks ago(June 27th) and Fiesta seemed like perfect spot for lunch. We were excited about craving for Mexican food. The restaurant was busy already, but luckily 4 of us got seated and got free tortilla chips afterwards. Fresh and crispy, we all enjoyed it. We ordered Carne Asada Salad ($11.59), #3 Enchilada Combo ($11.99) and #31 Mole De Pollo ($15.99) they were pretty good. Carne Asada salad was delicious as beef slices were cooked to perfection. Enchilada was also freshly cooked and delicious as well. As for Mole(#31) it had rather a sweet taste than spiciness. The only problem was that chicken tasted dry and maybe they cooked frozen chicken perhaps? The hearty portion was a big advantage for 4 of us. We left the restaurant feeling stuffed from eating all of this including tortilla chips. Service was fast and friendly. FEJ is a fantastic Mexican restaurant with huge portion. My wife and I decided we wanted Mexican on a day trip to Missoula. I've eaten here before while on a business trip, and I remember it being pretty good, so we gave it a try this time. First, my wife fell in love with the atmosphere. It's a "cabin" if you will, and it's quite nice inside. They have a bar, if that's your gig, but we sat at a booth. Service was fast. They were at our table taking drink orders right away. They brought chips and salsa and drinks then took our order. My wife ordered Carne Asada, and I ordered Carne Picadio. The plates were huge with lots of rice and beans and nice size portion of our entree. We were quite pleased at the presentation. The food looked great. I can happily say the flavors did not disappoint. Everything tasted good and seemed to be real good value for what we paid. We will go back again in the future. read more

This is an ok Mexican good restaurant. I had the #12 with chicken. The taco was just a corn shell with dry chicken. The chicken was probably canned cooked chicken, very dry and lacked taste. Same fot the tortilla, and enchilada. Very little enchiladas sauce or cheese. The server questioned everything we asked for. We asked for little plates to help keep chips and salsa on. The waitress looked at us funny and walked away. She later brought out 3 plates for us 4 adults. I just read their food inspection history, the restraunt has been cited for surface issues, so I wouldn't put your chips on the table. One other party member asked for queso cheese on his enchilada, and the waitress again looked at him with disbelief and said it couldn't be done. We told her then to forget it. It came out with too much queso. The waitress didn't ask us if we wanted desert. I think the issue is you have a sit down restraunt, that charges $18 a plate, that is ran as a fast food Mexican restaurant. If you want more flavor, and better food, and less expensive, go somewhere else. Taco Bell is better. read more

Where to start? I hate giving bad reviews but here we are. I am originally from Cali and finding good Mexican food is like finding a needle in a hay stack. But this establishment is just all around awful. From the moment we walked in we stood up front for 5 minutes to be seated. A little bus girl came up just looking more pissed off than ever. Stared at me and my friend , as well as the 2 people behind us and continued to wipe down tables. No greeting what so ever. We finally got sat and the server had a rather rushed attitude. Wanted us to order and get out. Asking if we were ready every other minute. Clearly they weren't that busy at all. So what's the rush? Now for the food. I had the Verde Burrito. Decent size portions for the price. But the food just doesn't have flavor. Lots of salt to compensate for the watered down EVERYTHING. The tomatillo sauce on the burrito is not fresh AT ALL. Probably out of a can cause you could see the tomatillos separating from the liquid. The pork was bland. Tasted like it was boiled then taken out and drizzled with the "Verde Sauce". Thank goodness my grandmother from Mexico passed (bless her) cause if she tasted this food, she would rise from her grave to teach y'all a lesson! Now for the restaurant itself...WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU DUSTED? Also the chip basket we were given had old salsa chunks on it. Do you wash those things? As for the menus they are just falling apart. Also the staff who spoke in Spanish, I understood every word you said. And let's remember to talk smack on guest behind kitchen doors, not in front. We walked in and we were sat right away. Chips and salsa followed quickly behind. Then we sat and waited and waited. It was at least ten minutes before anyone came back to greet us and take our order. We had eaten the whole basket of chips while we waited. We even talked about getting up and leaving. I honestly don't think anyone would have noticed if we had. They have a little servers station out in the open where everyone who's facing you can see what you're doing. I watched the one male server wipe his nose numerous times without washing his hands once. Then he'd put the paper sheet in the basket with his hands and put chips into it. He was also taking clean silverware and napkins and setting the newly cleaned off tables. Mind you with his snotty hands!! When our food arrived an older gentleman whom I think was the manger brought it. I told him about the guy wiping his nose constantly and not washing his hands. I said this is how people get sick. I did see him talk to him as he did go and finally wash. Once our food arrived nobody ever came to check on us at all. The food was not great either so it's not like we'll be missing out on anything by never going back. If you like mediocre food and contamination then by all means eat your heart out. read more

The food is just ok. The worst part of Fiesta is the service. I watched people standing at the front door waiting for a table while staff looked at them and said nothing. I watched a single gentleman sit at the bar looking for a drink who finally left after no staff even acknowledged he was there. A young man and his family spilt a drink and had to clean up all the ice off the floor them selves. My finished food plate and drink have been sitting for over 15 min. MEH is a good word to describe this dining establishment. There were a few things that I want to address. 1. Staff shouldn't sit at the bar and complain about customers in loud voices while they are on the clock. 2. Pouring their chips into their warming bin from a garbage can (regardless if it is designated for only that purpose) is surely not something that makes me want to eat their chips, or any of their food. 3. Wait staff should take EVERYONE'S order. 4. DO NOT bring second rounds of alcoholic beverages without being ordered. I was there with a group of 11 folks and we had called ahead for a group table. Upon arrival we were seated at a long table, or rather series of smaller tables pushed together. They didn't even line up and were all uneven. The chips and salsa were brought to the table promptly and we started snacking, until I saw the aforementioned garbage can pour. That's when I promptly stopped. Our waiter came and began taking orders. He totally skipped me and asked me if I was ordering when he came back with the entrees (interestingly enough I was the one paying the bill, and I was the one ignored). After witnessing the garbage can chips, I opted to consume only my beverage. After our entree's were served, the waiter brought a second round of drinks for everyone. I asked everyone at the table if they had ordered another round, and no one had. I thought perhaps he was making up for failing to take my order. That was, until, the bill arrived and they had charged us for the second round. Most of the folks at the table stated that their meal was acceptable. No one thought it was terrific, and one was completely unhappy with the dish. While I realize that there is limited mexican dining in Missoula, this place should be allowed to go out of business. read more

Had lunch today with two friends. Nothing special here, just a standard American Mexican restaurant. I had 2 enchiladas with shredded beef. Friends had Chili Rellenos and the Fiesta burrito. The burrito looked the best because it came topped with guac and sour cream. The chips and salsa weren't bad. The salsa had a slight kick from chili powder. Of the three Fiesta En Jalisco restaurants in our area, we much prefer the one located at 4880 N. Reserve Street just down the street from Costco. The salsa here is wonderful with big chunks of onion and tomato which is spooned up with fresh corn chips. When we tried the restaurant in Polson, they actually put cabbage in the salsa and it was awful. The enchilada sauce is just spicy enough and you can always add more power to it ,if you wish. Disgusting!!!! From the dirty bathrooms, dirty dishes, stale chips, and terrible service. Our experience wasn't so pleasant. I ordered a dish and asked for no onions, it came out loaded with onion. Understandable a simple mistake, I politely told the server I ordered no onions, he was clearly upset and brought it back to the kitchen. Meanwhile my boyfriend ate his dinner while I waited another 20 minutes for a new plate. I asked for my flour tortillas he forgot, the waiter apologized and went to get them, needless to say the waiter must of forgotten because I waited at least 10 minutes, I looked over and he was on his cell phone texting. I have never written a bad review for fiesta before today. My family of 7 spent 137.00 for dinner We paid in cash and left a very generous tip. We had been there a little over a hour and where finishing our drinks (after paying the bill and leaving tip) when we over heard the staff speaking in spanish rudely about patrons and there sizes and shapes . ( Remember some people understand other languages and especially bad words. ) Then the waitress came to our table and stated loudly. THIS TABLE SPACE IS NEEDED AS OTHERS ARE WAITING. What the yeck?????? We left our drinks and removed ourselves.
