Really good food. Chicken and steak tacos outstanding! Clean and spacious. Reasonable service but a HUGE let down in having to buy chips and salsa. I stopped because I was out there and in the mood for a chips and salsa but not in the mood to drop a little extra dime to be charged when the place just up the street provides them at the table gratis. I'd go back but usually if I go Mexican, its because I'm craving chips/salsa and too many places in and out of Chicagoland provide them so it would take something special to dance at the fiesta Burrito once again. read more

I have come twice and yet to have descent food. Maybe it would be better if I was drunk, but it is terrible.

I had an urge for huevos rancheros for several days now, and there just aren't that many places that serve authentic Mexican food AND are open for breakfast. Who eats huevos for lunch or later? Good place. I eat here at least once a week. My fav is beef enchilada dinner. For a short while they served black beans instead of refried. No longer. Shrimp tacos are good even though pricy. Fiesta Burrito is really good little Mexican "joint" with very good burritos and tacos. They're a regular stop for my family and I would easily put them at the top of the list of small, local burrito/taco restaurants. I usually get their steak burrito or steak tacos, but I've tried their beef tacos too and find them all very good and I love their mild taco sauce. Their seating is what you might expect from a local burrito joint with an inexpensive burrito joint vibe, but it's bigger and cleaner than most -- and if you're a soccer fan, you'll often find a game on. The service is good and the staff is always friendly. If you're looking for basic Mexican food at reasonable prices, be sure to try Fiesta Burrito. read more

Not very good. Wife and I both ordered a steak burrito, she ordered hers with sour cream. Steak was dried out, tough and tasteless. My wife's burrito was missing the sour cream which we did not complain about, it would not of helped. We both ate less than half and tossed the rest in the garbage. If you've ever been to the south side of Chicago there's a taco place on every corner. Delicious ones. Moving to naperville has left me taco deprived because I had yet to find an authentic decent priced Mexican restaurant until now. The whole Tex-mex style just isn't my thing so finding this gem ;I was pretty ecstatic. This place was pretty delicious and you truly can't beat the taco Tuesday price- $1.59 for steak,chicken or ground beef tacos . The tacos were delicious- I got two steak cilantro and onion and a side of rice and beans. My boyfriend got 4 tacos -2 steak, 1 chicken, 1 beef. We also ordered two flautas and a large horchata. In total our bill was around $15 and some change. If that's not amazing idk what it is! Food was excellent, place was clean and had good traffic flow. Lots of people coming in getting tacos along with a beer. We really enjoyed the food, and I'm so glad I don't need to drive 45 min back home to get my taco fix! Super bummed this place didn't live up to some of the reviews, but to each his own. My expectations were set low..looking for a mediocre steak burrito. I knew the meat wouldn't be good quality, but I expected decent...the meat was bad and the consistency even worse. Mushy low quality meat. I did try a bite of my brothers cheese quesadilla and that was good. So maybe just stay away from meat. Ended up having to toss the burrito...taste was off. read more

My boyfriend is obsessed with this place. He says it has the best mexican food he's ever had. I agree! Every time I order from here I am greeted by a very nice person behind the counter and my order is always accurate. Also, one time when I was driving, I had a drink in a cup holder sitting on the middle console of my car, and all of a sudden I slammed on my brakes and my cup went flying...I was certain that it had spilled everywhere but to my surprise, it had landed upside down with the lid still secured on tightly. They do good work, but prices are just a dollar or two on the high side for a burrito joint. I don't have a problem with paying a premium for quality, I just wanted to put that out there. I've been going to this place, and their earlier location across the street for probably about 10 years now. Yes it's a burrito joint and we have a lot of those in the area, but they do pay attention to some of the important details. I'll give them high marks for cleanliness and consistency. Their current location is nice and large, and looks to be a brand new rehab. Alright, let's talk specific dishes. I miss that they don't carry their ceviche tostadas any more. I'll usually get a couple of their tacos al pastor - their al pastor is my favorite in the area. I saw someone mention that their barbacoa was a little on the oily side and I'll agree (my gold standard for barbacoa at present is that from Chipotle). You'll find a lot of the dishes here that look to be home cooking for Mexican folk - menudo and the like - that's always a good sign but I can't say I've had any of those kinds of dishes here. read more

I stopped going here a few years ago. I tried it b/c of the coupons and I missed "Mexican" food. (My best friend in high school was Mexican and I met some of his relatives in Mexico in high school.) The "beef" burritos/tacos were horrible. It tasted like rubber and I could not finish the food. I thought that there could be nothing worse than Taco Bell, I was proven very wrong. According to my husband, before this place moved across the street it was good. But this is the first time I ever tried it, and I was not impressed. 1st off, they messed up my order. So I figure, whatever, I'll just eat the rice and beans. So I take a bite of the rice, and it's obvious it's been sitting around for an hour because it's as hard as a rock. Terrible. I got a burrito and i puked after i ate it. The lettuce is dirty and wimpy. The meat was rubbery. It was around awful with the price of 7 dollars. Your best bet is chipotle. This place listens to your order. Never had one messed up order taken. It's clean with decent restroom, no flies or sticky floors. The owner is very careful about cleanliness, a good characteristic for a mex fast food joint. Menu is comprehensive and good, not as greasy as other places. This is the exact opposite of El Famous Burrito, which I have boycott. Come to this place and look nowhere else for a local fast mex food fix. read more

Love this family owned joint. I grew up eating Mexican food from mom and pops spots in Melrose Park. Wouldn't have it any other way. Service has been excellent every time and we're frequent visitors of the place. There are only a few around town but this one beats them all. Usually get the chicken torta and the chicken tacos while my other half gets a variation of the taco dinner. Haven't had any complaints on the food. Try their michelada drinks with modelo. I've had them at other restaurants but this one is by far the best. The owner actually showed us how he makes them from start to finish. read more

I took my dad and kids here and had home-cooked-style Mexican food. There's a large clean cafeteria-like eating area. The main counter where you buy food has a huge menu with many many options. Food tasted fresh; we tried the fish tacos meal, beef burrito meal, and quesadillas. There were a lot of Mexican customers, which is probably a sign that the food's authentic. We would definitely go back when we are in the mood for Mexican. read more

Also since the change the counter people have not been very friendly, but haven't been unfriendly either. Service is just blah. Loco is super close to home, so I have come here often. I used to get steak dinners which were fairly good, but then switched to chorizo tacos, which were literally the best I ever had. Unfortunately, the last time I was in, the recipe for the chorizo was noticeably changed, and for the worse. Much more like a grocery store bought chorizo instead of made in house. The service is always horrible, has been from the beginning. I always tip, everywhere, and although this is not a tips required or expected joint, I never got any respect, thanks or even a look from them. The only people who work there who are decent to me is the owner or the guy who works late usually.
