The hot chocolates were decadent and delicious without being scorching hot. PERFECT for the kids! My friends loved their Irish coffees as their typical go-to. I like my coffee a bit on the sweeter/creamier side and this wasn't really it with a bit of that coffee bitterness still coming through that was a bit of a turnoff for me. That's just me and my personal taste though, so take it with a grain of salt. My kids shared a French toast with blueberries (no kids menu available, it seems) and it was HUGE. They will usually pound an adult portion of anything between the two of them and even this was too much. There were 2 extra thick slices to start and there was easily a half slice left, enough to fill a small to-go box up pretty solid. I got the burrito which came topped with salsa (ranchero) and cheddar cheese plus a side of shredded hash browns. The hash browns were half crispy and half limp but still quite tasty. The burrito itself was a good size though not enormous. While nothing mind blowing, especially for the $19 price tag, it was a solid meal overall. One of my friends got the lobster eggs benedict special and said it was life-changing. It was $24 and came with a massive hunk of lobster meat. For a $3 charge over the standard benedict, that's a steal and smartly priced for a good heaping of lobster. Getting the food out seemed to take a little bit of time, but the server was good about checking in on us throughout and the other staff we spoke to were also very friendly. Overall, a solid experience. Definitely paying a little bit extra for the ambience and ski resort town, but I'd still come back to check out the lunch and dinner offerings for sure!

The Scallops were served over garlic risotto and garnished with perfectly cooked slices of zucchini. There were 5 very large and perfectly cooked scallops. I cut each one into 4 tender pieces. My husband ordered the filet mignon which he said was as perfectly cooked and he added the scallops for an up charge, he also had a baked potato. He enjoyed his meal very much. For dessert our waiter brought us a crème brulee' with a little candle in it and he wished us a Happy Anniversary and told us it was on the house! I had already ordered a piece of their peanut butter pie, which was wonderful! We had such a tremendous dinner! And we were very pleased and a bit surprised that we could have a meal that exceptional, so close to our home!

Fish Fry: Golden, crisp, and fresh every time, with excellent sides that are all homemade. Cheese Steaks are made with thier shaved prime rib and is incredible, great portions of beef, onions and mushrooms. The Chicken Parm: was much bigger and tastier than I thought. My parents could've split one order, however, they now have a second full meal at home- the noodles from the pasta are homemade. The Daily Specials are always incredible and ever changing. Chef has it going on, and is building a helluva reputation for his business. To top it all off, they have a fantastic beer selection that pairs brilliantly with the menu. Also, they have an INCREDIBLE Bourbon menu as well. Colden Country Inn is just outstanding across the board. If you're anywhere near Colden, do yourself a favor and check it out no matter the time of year. In the winter they have dining igloos on the outdoor deck, that are heated. Such a cool concept! Villagio's lies on the sidestreet in what looks like an old barn. It has a unique rustic charm that we enjoyed. It's an italian based restaurant that offers bread with olive oil and seasonings to start. We didn't realize that and also got cheesy bread which comes with a red sausce. Both were delicious. For entrees I ordered bucatini carbonara with chicken and my wife ordered the filleto's. Pricing was reasonable in the $20-$30 range per peson. We enjoyed the visit and had a great time!
