And yet another wonderful meal at TACOCAT. There is nothing quite like eating tacos, outdoors in this beautiful weather. My carne asada was mouth-watering and juicy! Breakfast burritos are never an option, which is disappointing, because they're hard to find in the South Towns! Lastly, the entranceway is posted with the sign, "We've got worms!". I haven't been able to convince my wife to give this place a shot so I went at it solo... I mean who wouldn't trust a taco bar in the back wall of a smoke shop / mini mart / gas station??? Well let me just say the food was amazing! If you like a tasty & greasy bar, fair, taco truck burrito like me don't hesitate to give this place a chance! They have a ton if specialty options but I wanted a traditional beef and cheese burrito and nachos and cheese. Burrito was very large and flavorful. Nachos were great too. Prices were reasonable for amount of food I got. Not a place if you're looking for a dine in experience as there were only a couple tables in the mini mart aisle but I'll definitely be stopping more often on the way to camp. read more

It was my 4th or 5th time here, each time I drive through Springville I try to stop here. I've never been disappointed before. Got the chicky buffalo this time, it was delicious. The service was fast yet deliberate. Amazing how a place inside a gas station can have fresher ingredients than sit down restaurants. Food inside of a gas station usually isn't anything to write home about but this was genuinely one of the best places I ate at on my 6 day stay in Buffalo. Some of the best chicken you will ever have and Mark was one of the most friendly people I've encountered while up here. read more

One year later and it still feels like they're trying to figure it out. The confusing menu, the way you order and pay are just chaotic and disorganized. The cluttered counter doesn't help. It's a super casual place located inside a convenience store / gas station. With just a few tables, it must be mostly take-out. Besides a regular menu with combinations of protein, cheese and beans, tacos and burritos, they also offer a more creative 'Tacocat Specialty Items Menu'. Every item is pictured and has funky names and a detailed description of all ingredients. That's a great idea. After our first experience a year ago, I had high expectations returning. I remember having a decent 'House Pork Carnitas'. The service was pleasant and polite. This time we met the same very friendly, young man. Unfortunately, our food wasn't that good. It was cold. Actually, I didn't like the 'Chicky Creama' at all. The chicken was dry. I couldn't taste either the garlic or the lime, just some mayo, which I truly did not appreciate. There wasn't practically any sauce. The cheese didn't melt because everything was cold. It was just a sandwich with too much cabbage, no spice, and I ordered medium hot. The photo from the menu didn't match reality either. My partner's 'Tacocat Carne Asada' was much tastier and also bigger than my order. Both burritos are supposed to be the same large size. I didn't mind the smaller portion, but at least I'd like to know whether my order matched was right. I'm not often in the area, and I don't want to discourage new customers from trying this place. It's a convenient, inexpensive way to grab something to eat. The service is still very nice. Plus, their ratings are high. It would be great if they keep up their standards for everyone. Maybe a new / fresh set of photos around the counter would help? It could refresh the whole look and memory how it used to be, or it would be a good opportunity to update how it is now. read more

They are good. One taco was too wet, the next day when I ordered I told them , and they made it perfect the way I like it- how can you complain about that? Tell them what you want- and HOW you want it and you WILL get it, made right in front of you. Ambiance? It's a little start-up restaurant in a gas station , keep your ambiance expectations in check. You can eat it there or take out, if you need a candle on your table... then probably only use the take out. If you came for the food, your at the right place. read more

Far in the back of a Marathon gas station sits a delightful owner serving incredibly delicious food. I enjoyed an overstuffed carnitas burrito bursting with flavors! The meat was a slow cooked pork shoulder accompanied with fresh cilantro and pico di gallo. The burrito is huge so expect to be stuffed if you can finish it in one sitting.
