Lucien was my awesome server. I can't say enough about how wonderfully well they've built a family of neighbors that consider this and extended part of their home. The product is superior they offer something for all taste from soft drinks to ales and they serve food here and it's wonderful that you can bring your pet inside because they have concrete floors. Always a pleasure to come here.

Great place to go with friends! The brewery is very kid and dog friendly too. They have a great selection of beer. They also have a food menu in the brewery. I do miss when they used to have Citizen Pizza outside. The Detroit style pizza they have are more airy in style and feels more focaccia like. The shishito peppers in the fireball pizza was surprisingly spicy! They no longer offer crowler fills to go but you can grab a 4 pack in the fridge.

For Memorial Day, my Pop took my family and me out to Fieldwork Brewing Co. I've passed numerous times since it's in the neighborhood, but this was one of the first times I got to sit and enjoy their offerings! Fieldwork Brewing Co. is a watering hole for Albany and Berkeley folks. Most customers are families or millennials and above couples. It's a dog and kid-friendly place, loud and spacious. The inside is quite big with plenty of room to sit and sip, but it does get noisy. Outside there's a handful of communal benches, which is where we sat! Service by all was kind and courteous. You can order at the bar or through their QR code and they'll deliver it. Customers bus their dishes and glassware. I don't drink beer but the selection was extensive! It would be cool to see a seltzer or cider on the list. For dinner, we shared a Pretzel and I split the Turkey Wrap. I never know what to expect with brewpub food but this was good! The pretzel was salty, thick, and soft inside. Do recommend! I enjoyed my wrap, well-sized and nice pieces of tender turkey. Everything tasted good. If you're into brews and are in Berkeley, Fieldwork Brewing Co. is worth a visit. I wouldn't mind coming back! It's easy to spot on the corner of 6th St. with street parking all around.

The beer was excellent. We met with some friends in San Francisco and then took an uber back to Berkeley. Service was spot on, the beer was well balanced and dank. If they were closer to me, I'd go regularly.

We love coming here for craft beer. Their pizza is good too. I usually get a flight of beer so that I could taste different beer including any new beer. The vibe is casual and you can bring your kids and doggies too ! The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. Service is quick and easy to order using the QR code. I'm a huge fan of Fieldwork Brewing and the work they do with & for the communities that surround their local breweries. I adore the beer, love the neighborhood vibes, and after not being to their location in ages, it seems like have a revamped menu with..drumroll...Detroit-style pizza! As most already know, it's not my most favorable in the pizza hold-up line, but I can say, this is a yummy pie. We ordered the Marg ($19) and shortly after I realized for the next trip, I would love to grab the Kale Caesar and Hot Pretzel. I have a friend who tries to order brewery pretzels from each spot he sips at, and would love to throw this one into the mix. We came after a huge Cal vs. Stanford game where Cal won and the place was vibing. So great to see people out and about celebrating local, local sports, fun staff, and sharing a few of in my opinion, one of the best brew spots in Berk..kiddo and dog approved :)

Great beer menu! More in cans.

My daughter recommended this place as we are in Berkeley for a wedding. Wow! We really enjoyed this place. It is far enough from campus to not be full of rowdy college kids. They serve Detroit style pizza, salads, and pretzels. Half the fun was reading the descriptions. One of the beers I got (Pulp) describes as "Smells like a Sunday drive through a citrus orchard in the peak of season". Another Cow House describes notes of overpriced chocolate.... A must visit for beer lovers!

Great spot! I enjoyed the aloha vibes, refreshing and good. Love the outside area, wonderful energy as well as inside this brewery, very clean and a cool place to hang out and grab a cold one!

    Can we bring in food?

    Yes.

    Are there outdoor TVs?

    No TVs outdoors

Do they brew any non-alcoholic beer?

I don't recall ever see non-alcohol beer there, but i know for certain that their website is current and they list/show every brew that's available at each site everyday. I always order ahead - makes it easier and saves time.

    Is there cornhole here?

Not that I have seen, but they have other table top games and cards.

Any sports on screens? Especially Premier league soccer?

    No TVs that I've seen.

What's the noise level? Going on an intro meet. Too loud?

Outdoor seating has good noise level. If it's not too cold out

    Can we bring in food?

    Yes!

    Are they dog friendly?

    Yes they are!

Does FW have any drinks besides beer? Cider, soda, etc?

    They also serve sparkling lemonade!

Is this place still bring your own food?

I just checked with them and they said YES.

What's your favorite Fieldwork Brew? I had my first visit a few days ago and was VERY impressed--my favorite so far is the "huge IPA" Virtual Planetoid!

I am really liking Overripe! and Destination Unknown. They have had them for a bit. At bars I am liking Green Rest. Their IPAs are damn good.

    Are kids allowed?

As per their emails (when signed up for their mailing list), "As always, well behaved adults, children and dogs are welcome."

    Tv to watch the warriors?

They will use the projector during big sporting events. I watched several of the Warriors games there.

Is there space for toddlers and small kids to run around and play?

    There is not.

The first time I went to Cellarmaker I was post-ride -- the particular kind of hungry and…read moredehydrated that makes any beer taste like the best beer you've ever had, which is why I don't fully trust that first impression. But the West Coast IPA was good, genuinely good, and the pizzas coming out of the kitchen to the tables around me looked like pizzas made by people who cared about pizza, and the outdoor area was the kind of setup that welcomes bikes and dogs without making a production of it. I made a mental note: come back sometime for food. "Sometime" turned out to be yesterday, which is how it always works, the places you mean to return to in a week take three months, and the ones you expect to take three months surprise you on a random afternoon when you're starving and nearby and out of excuses. We'd taken the dogs on a long hike through Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, which if you haven't done it is one of those East Bay hikes that makes you briefly forget you live in an urban area -- redwoods and eucalyptus and creek crossings and the kind of quiet that resets whatever the week did to you. By the end of it we were the specific kind of famished where menu deliberation is impossible and you just point at things and hope. We sat outside and pointed at things and everything we pointed at was excellent. The baked sweet potato--a Japanese sweet potato under miso butter, chili crème fraîche, bacon bits, crispy onions, scallions, and pea tendrils--is the kind of dish that sounds like it was assembled by a committee of trendy adjectives but actually works as a coherent thing you want to eat. The miso butter does the heavy lifting, that sweet-savory bridge that makes Japanese sweet potatoes sing, and the chili crème fraîche keeps it from tipping into cloying territory. Fifteen dollars for a side dish at a brewery is a number that would normally make me flinch, but the portion was generous and the execution was real. The summer squash tostadas--roasted zucchini, cherry tomatoes, avocado, pickled red onion, salsa macha, queso fresco, cilantro--were bright and crunchy and exactly the kind of thing you want after four hours in the woods. The salsa macha brought a nutty, smoky heat that elevated what could have been a forgettable veggie tostada into something I'd actually order again on purpose. And then there were the pickled vegetables. Cauliflower, fennel, zucchini, carrots. Seven dollars. Who pickles zucchini? Cellarmaker pickles zucchini, and it's delicious, and I'm annoyed that I now have to rethink my entire understanding of what belongs in a pickle jar. I had the Diamonds & Gasoline, a West Coast IPA with Nelson Sauvin and Cascade Cryo hops. The menu copy promises white wine and gooseberry and diesel-y grapefruit funk. What I'd tell you is that it's dank. Good dank. The kind of resinous, piney, vaguely illicit West Coast IPA that California does better than anywhere and that Northern California in particular has turned into a regional art form. I drank it and thought about the fact that I've started using the word "dank" to describe beer unironically and that I voluntarily hiked through redwoods on a Sunday afternoon and that I'm sitting outside a brewery in Berkeley with two dogs at my feet eating a Japanese sweet potato with miso butter on it. I am becoming a Northern Californian. This is happening. I lament nothing. The pizza will have to wait for the third visit. Wednesday, maybe -- they do a $12 slice-and-beer special that sounds like exactly the kind of deal that accelerates the conversion.

We ordered fries and a veggie plate to start and the fries that showed up were covered in paprika and soggy like they were baked. Extreme premium prices for beyond mediocre food. The hummus was laughable and ranch was awwwful. We ordered a following round of food with chicken strips, a burger and more fries. This time the fries were completely different. They were deep-fried and crunchy (definitely came from a bag) but a completely different french fry from what we received on our first order. Still the same foul Ranch and the ketchup that was out in squeeze bottles was beyond disgusting it was thin, sour and bright red with tin flavor. Chicken strips were fine, they 100% came from a bag and were consistent with hundreds of other restaurants that purchase the same ones. We asked the server if we could have our burger cut in half and they snapped that they were too busy to do that. The people next to us and across from us had burgers that were split in half... And the burger was a complete joke. Their "special sauce" is just cheap mayonnaise mixed with some of that cheap ketchup (that is probably from a huge can from the top corporate food distributor.) People listing that this is one of their favorite burgers are really missing out on some experiences in life, or they're eating them after their third double IPA... It's a beautiful place, great yard area. But the food needs to open a new document and start again. I can't believe how much it cost for how horrible it was. I'm in shock.

Although this was my first--and likely last--visit to the taproom, I'll truly miss having them as an option in Berkeley. Although we didn't grab any food, we got a variety of different beers during our visit. My favorite beer that I ordered was a 8% high ABV coffee stout. Many coffee stouts tend to lean on the sweet side and have too subtle of a coffee flavor. However, I felt like the one from Trumer was well-balanced, and the coffee flavor was strong and distinct. I would happily order this beer again. The outdoor patio is great for large groups and anyone visiting with their dogs. Meanwhile, the inside is bright -- with multiple large TVs around the room broadcasting sport games, with plenty of seating and clean bathrooms. The staff we interacted with were super friendly and offered to give us samples of any beers we wanted to try out before ordering. I had a friend visiting Berkeley from out of town so we came here to hang out and catch up. One thing that stood out to me is this place, because it's a taproom and not a brewery, is open later than the other beer places in the East Bay. Many choices of beer and cider on tap. I tried the ginger peppercorn cider and it was very unique, I've never had a cider like this flavor, it's almost like a cross between ginger beer and cider. My friends enjoyed various beers on tap.
