Meeting beers friends in the Bay Area, Tenma Beer Project kept coming up as a recommended spot with awesome owners and amazing beer. Finally with one friend, I visited and it was definitely a highlight of the whole trip. This is clearly a labor of love; the couple that own it brew styles they want including lots of clean and bright styles. This place feels like a brewery from an older time, built on quality and passion. The customer base seemed very local to the area, with regulars coming in for a pint or getting new cans to go. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Unpretentious interior is comfortable with seating, plus dog friendly. If you're a beer fan, this one is worth seeking out. I see them going far.

Nice variety of beer styles. I started with a few pilsners and really liked the porter, Thunder of Hooves. Friendly staff. Cool setting with a very diverse crowd. Love the garage door entrance , background music, and the nearby food options posted on the wall.

I was craving some craft beer and decided to give this place a try. Most of the on-tap draft beer they were serving was pilsner, hoppy IPA, and lager. I got a flight of four beers, and they tasted alright.

Dropped by while in the area and had a decent experience. I was a bit disappointed that there were no sours on the menu, though not entirely surprised since another nearby brewery didn't offer any either. I'm not much of an IPA or bitter beer fan, so I leaned toward the lighter, crisp options. The bartender recommended "Depends on the Question," a German-style Pilsner. While it had a slight bitterness, it was also smooth, grainy, and subtly sweet. Even though I typically prefer sours, this one broadened my beer palate in a pleasant way. Bonus points for the glass full of Smarties candy... never really see breweries offer free candy. I'd definitely stop by again whenever I'm in the city.

Tenma continues to impress with a fantastic selection of IPAs, pale ales, lagers, pilsners and helles. Brennan and Dana are celebrating the two year anniversary of the brewery's opening by continuing to produce exceptional beer. Service is from friendly and familiar faces and the vibe is always on point. Stoked to be here to celebrate and partake.

Just the best local microbrewery. Fantastic staff and even better beer. Will hang out here every week until they outgrow the space bc they're that good. Highly recommended if you love traditional german style pilsners and west coast IPAs.

Visited yesterday and was greeted warmly when we arrived! We had looked forward to visiting for some time so it was exciting to final be drinking their beer! The bartender was friendly and let my partner try a splash of something. We got the What Once Was Timeless Pilsner (which was really delicious, smooth) and Onward from Yesterday pale ale. Both were great! We also had their West Coast IPAs and I loved the Pulsewidth Modulation! All of our drinks were the short pours, which was just enough beer! They had a food truck, Don Taco, which had good and affordable food. The space was small, but welcoming and felt like a place you could go to with friends or hang out and have a beer with a book. Highly recommend it!

Lots of rotating beers, always something new every time I visit! The beer menu must have many small batch creations. I especially enjoy their IPAs while I've had other great drinks as well! The customer service is great and the staff can provide their expertise if you have trouble choosing a drink! They do not have food available, but they offer suggestions on nearby food that you can bring and eat while enjoying a nice cold glass. I usually bring my take-out to eat with a beer here!

We ordered the veggie pizza, which came out soggy and barely lukewarm. The mac and cheese had the same issue, and the potato salad was extremely bland. What made it even more disappointing was that our waiter specifically recommended both the mac and cheese and potato salad, telling us they were "so great." Not so much, man. Not so much. We also ordered a burger with fries, and the fries were soggy, cold, and honestly looked like they had been sitting around for a while. The restaurant wasn't even that busy and seemed overstaffed. A lot of the staff, both out front and around the kitchen, were standing around talking with each other, so it was frustrating to receive food that wasn't fresh or even properly hot. The beer was definitely the highlight. I'd come back for drinks, but I'd absolutely skip the food next time.

The lady at the counter busted our line down quickly and efficiently and the food came out pretty quickly as well. Beer was poured at the counter. The outdoor seating area is delightful, clean, and well-shaded. Food is brought out but dishes are personally bussed. I got the cherry sour which was very sour and fruity - a little surprising (in a good way), delicious, and refreshing. I ordered the fish and chips but wanted a vegetable so I also got the melon and tomato salad. I'm a sucker for flan so I also had to try that. The fish and chips were perfect and piping hot and crispy. The salad was unfortunately a little disappointing; neither the melons nor tomatoes tasted very ripe so the whole salad was just a bit lacking in flavor. The flan also had a sliiiightly overcooked texture, but was overall pretty good, with a well-executed caramel sauce. Portions are also very generous!

We made it a pitstop on our drive up to Napa on a Thursday afternoon around 1:00 PM, and it did not disappoint. We found easy street parking right outside, and walked around the corner to find their large garage doors open, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. The Vibe & Exceptional Service Because it was a weekday afternoon, the taproom was fairly quiet, and we easily snagged a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was absolutely wonderful, super welcoming, friendly, and chatty. What really stood out was watching her connect with every other customer who walked in, making everyone feel right at home. The Drinks As expected from Cellarmaker, the beer list is extensive and incredibly tempting. You almost want to work your way through the entire board! We opted for a few tasters to pair with lunch. While every pour was amazing, the absolute highlight of the trip was their Barleywine, a true standout that you shouldn't miss if it's on tap. The Food We ordered a mix of slices and a salad to share: The Detroit-Style Slices: My husband grabbed a slice of the Cheese and the Bolognese, while I went with the Pesto. The pizza has a fantastic, thick crust, and my slice featured a wonderfully generous helping of flavorful pesto. The Caesar Salad: Word of warning from a self-proclaimed Caesar salad freak: this salad is massive and definitely meant for sharing! We ended up splitting it, and it was phenomenal. The dressing was rich, delicious, and creamy, topped with perfectly crispy, well-seasoned croutons. The Verdict Whether you are a longtime fan or a first-timer, this location is an absolute must-visit. Incredible hospitality, top-tier beers, and fantastic food. We will absolutely be back whenever we're in the area!
