I love how inviting they are and at one point I stopped to talk about work related things with one of the night shift workers. Great guy! They are very clean generally, a good selection of fresh produce, and everything else well stocked from meat to daily necessities. Sometimes, despite being through the store countless times, I have trouble finding something... but I can usually get around quickly, and if the WiFi connection is strong enough the website tells me the exact aisle. lol! Kroger Marketplace is a fairly new building that is gigantic with sections devoted to produce,…read moredelicatessen, a Starbucks, and even a clothing section in the middle called "Fashion Essentials". There is also a seasonal section to the left of the entrance. The rest of the store has the usual perimeter items with the long rows that run from store front to back being divided by a central aisle to make it easier for shoppers to travel between rows. Key items are listed above each aisle to allow customers to make judgments about where to find something not specified. They do have a wide variety of food items but even they aren't all inclusive. I checked for a few items that my local Meijer carries and they weren't available here. And prices are hit or miss for being the "best" deals. Of course, they have a frequent customer use card that allows further discounts. That requires filling out an application to get the card. One thing I found a bit greedy was that when the checkout machine prompted me regarding getting cash back, it asked for approval to charge a $0.50 handling fee. It's free at Meijer. Meijer figures that if I am spending money with them, they already made some profit, but apparently Kroger needs to squeeze another four bits from me if I want cash. Seems like they ought to give me a discount for paying with cash if cash is so valuable to them! And is it worth that small fee to leave a last impression with a customer that they were gouged? Kroger didn't give me the 50 cents on the FIVE packages I bought. I've seen it happen before. Kroger has high prices and cheats customers who clip their digital coupons. Kroger owes me $2.50. I NEVER shop at Kroger again.

Hehe…read more I used to go to this one exclusively until they built one a little closer to my house - on Emerson and County Line road in Greenwood. I would actually drive out of my way to go to this one because the one on US 31 in Indianapolis is extremely icky on many levels. I still go to the Walmart in Franklin if I'm close to it because it's located near my mom's house. I even worked at this Walmart for about four months (years ago) in the garden department. But,....alas, that's a whole other story. :-) As always, the prices are very competitive and this Walmart never seems to be really busy so that's another plus. All in all, it's a Walmart, so I guess I will always have a love/hate relationship with the place one way or another.

They've added public restrooms as well as a little amphitheater. It's really nice. The market now has two long rows of vendors. The Whiskers on Wheels bus was such a neat idea. You can get on and pet animals. They had so many booths selling different things, honey, kombucha, coffee, baked goods, bath salts and many more. This market is within walking distance of the county courthouse in Franklin. It's open Saturdays 8 am - noon.

The location is easily walk a boulder all of the shops and restaurants in downtown Franklin. We especially loved visiting this community for the great antique shops and architecture. The speed and efficiency of curbside grocery pickup has declined dramatically over the past few…read moreweeks with little to no apparent intervention by management. It is now more typical to wait 20 minutes to an hour for groceries to be brought to your car once you arrive. I typically do not receive an apology for my wait. Associates bringing groceries to cars are oftentimes observed to be doing their jobs very slowly and at times not carefully. When there have been no parking places left for curbside pickup and people waiting 30+ minutes, it is not uncommon to observe associates making prolonged small talk with customers unrelated to completing their grocery orders. Disappointing and makes me want to utilize Kroger and Meijer's curbside services more often.
