Calamari & the Pork Belly burnt ends were both phenomenal. For entrees my girlfriend ordered the grouper which as a non seafood lover personally I thought it was delicious. As for me I order the Pit Sampler and that overall for its value gets a 9/10 from me. The ribs were the best part of the dish in my opinion. With each of us ordering a beverage and desert and the bill coming out to $150 before tip shocked me to say the least! We will definitely be back and highly recommend you try this place out for yourself!!

Their wine prices for the bottle are very reasonable with a wide selection. They only charge $20 for a corkage fee should you want to bring your own. The space is cozy so making a reservation would be advisable. My only regret was ordering the espresso martini which was really disappointing since everything else was so good. It didn't have the right foam on top and tasted really off so avoid that but their other cocktails were delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more!!

Bacon, egg, cheese, onion crisps and a perfectly cooked burger won my vote. My pal had a regular cheese burger and was also pleased. My Guinness was on draft while his bourbon cocktail was very good. Unfortunately our wives had a different experience. My wife's fish and chips were very average and the salmon salad. Also wasn't that well received. I think the biggest disappointment of the evening were the chopped brussels sprouts. I'm not a fan and didn't try them, but the other three in my group found them to be unsatisfying due to how light they were. They said it was like eating dry cereal. Our server was very attentive. Unfortunately, things were a bit rushed. We chose to sit in a small room with only a tables, but it still was very loud in there. Made it hard to talk to the table mates. All in all I'd come back for another burger.

From the paint on the walls, to the ceiling, to the patio area. Everything looks so nice. I got the verbena gimlet, which was lemony and sweet, and my husband got the sucker punch. Both drinks were flavorful and very pretty. To eat we started with half a dozen oysters and the Green Light sushi roll. Then we shared the Branzino and Penne Vodka. All of our food was very good and had beautiful presentation, but we were both obsessed with the penne vodka it was just that good! Finally we decided to finish with the chocolate chip cookie skillet, which was so rich and chocolatey. Everything was so good, and the staff was so kind. We can't wait for our next visit!

Later in the evening it was quite busy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and simple but nice decor. They also have a standalone bar if you just want to grab a drink or are a solo diner. For drinks, I ordered the Not Your Father's Manhattan, which was fine but nothing special. Their cocktail menu is pretty classic, nothing innovative enough to warrant the price. We got bread to start but I would skip that next time. For food, I ordered the butternut squash ravioli but was disappointed when told they were all out, so I pivoted to the white fish. I opted for the vesuvio style and enjoyed the potatoes but the fish was slightly overdone and sauce a little too oily for me. I did really enjoy the lemon cake for dessert. Overall, an A-ok option if you're looking for a classic Italian eatery in the area.

They were tasty and had a nice crunch.  I had a glass of Chardonnay and grilled salmon, while my daughter had a Birdie Spritz, burger and fries.  The food was flavorful and filling. It's worth mentioning that the glass of Chardonnay was a house wine and only cost $10.   My daughter and I both truly enjoyed the dinner.  We particularly loved the outdoor setting.  Next time would be a date with my wife.  I would love to return to enjoy more meals at Acorn Grill + Terrace!

It had enough buffalo sauce and the fries we're good too, pretty crispy $14 Roasted Veggie Sandwich (grilled eggplant | grilled zucchini | grilled squash | roasted red pepper | hummus | balsamic glaze | sourdough) - this was the only letdown ended up being very bland and plain. Honestly not that much veggies, barely any hummus, so the whole thing fell flat. Would go back!

You wouldn't even guess you were in Northbrook sitting at what appears to be the highest point in town. On a clear night, you can even see the Chicago skyline. The bar/wait staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The food is standard bar food. Burgers, fries, wings, etc. Nothing spectacular, but you are paying for the view. If we were eating inside, I'd probably give this place 3 stars. Nothing really special about the interior. If Landmark on the Hill could spruce up the menu with some signature dishes, this place could truly be a sought after outdoor dining destination.

I made reservations, which I don't think you need to do, most people drive up in a golf cart. Still, it's a very nice view-- you can see Techny Towers. The menu is simple -- salads, burgers, sandwiches. Our food was fine, the fries were excellent. The busy bartender was tending bar and taking orders and also friendly. It's all about the view. Which made it a little disappointing when we were asked to move about ten minutes later to accommodate a large group that came and expected 15-20 seats. The cocktail menu had a good variety. I ordered a dirty martini, which was fine but not something I would seek out. The olives were standard olives and, maybe I'm a snob, but I kind of expect a blue cheese or garlic stuffed olive at a place where I'm paying $16 for a cocktail. For my second round, I got a vodka soda, which was exactly what I expected. We ordered french fries and truffle fries, both of which came out quickly. They were crispy and hot, a solid pairing for a dirty martini adventure. I'll definitely come back - I might stick to wine or a more basic cocktail next time - but I loved the vibe.

My group ordered our drinks and waited for around 15 minutes before the server came back out asking for our order once again. My friends all ordered cocktails and I ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The server clearly wasn't sure what Cabernet Sauvignon was since she repeated it back to me as Sauvignon blanc. I corrected her and the cocktails came out, but another server/bartender came out asking what I had ordered. I repeated once again a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. He brought out a glass of white wine. I had to tell him that Cabernet Sauvignon was a red wine, not white, and then finally got the correct drink. It was unfortunately at least 30 minutes of being there and four conversations before I got my drink. All in all, I was pretty disappointed. With the type of bar this place is aiming to be, I wouldn't expect it to be so difficult to get a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
