My first year with Fidium was great. No outages whatsoever. Second year, this all changed. Would get random service interruptions and every time I contacted customer support, they were not helpful at all. One of their agents had the nerve to tell me that the problem was with my computer. I have a brand new Alienware M18, there's nothing wrong with it. Needlessly I continued to have major interruptions, so they sent technicians out to check my line. They said all was good and I shouldn't have any more issues. Ten minutes after the technician left, my internet dropped off, again. Customer support keeps telling me that I need to reset my modem, which has never to this day fixed the issue. The signal just comes back eventually. Same problems merged into the third year and I still can't get decent tech support. They need to hire people who can actually help instead of just reading off a list of pre-scripted responses. Doesn't matter which agent you talk to, they all say the same thing in the end. read more

trying to pay my bill....SEEMS TO BE IMPOSSIBLE! after 30 minutes discussing the issue with a person in Asia (I believe) and entering my card number seven times (unsuccessful!) and then being connected to someone to take my bank account number- additional waiting on the phone 27 minutes and then simply being dropped. Then tried again after another 25 minutes to be told to access the portal... which simply does not load!!! Then spent another hour with this issue: downloaded the attune app to my phone that supposedly (as explained on the web) let me pay my bill (impossible: no links for that in the app), tried all fidium URLs listed on the web - none will load.... and now being threatened with services to be turned off soon.....I HOPE THIS IS BEING READ BY FIDIUM AND SOMEONE WILL CONTACT ME - MY ACCOUNT# IS 137913041740 AND BTW - I HAVE HAD NO LUCK ENTERING ANY OF THE FIDIUM SITES SINCE EARLY JUNE 2025.... Contacted them twice about receiving more information. Trying to call and talk to a human wasn't very easy. Sent them an email and the response sucked..didn't answer my question. Truthfully, the customer service reminded me of the early days of Comcast. As much as I dislike Comcast I renewed my contract with them...sort of the enemy you know.. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We pay much more for this service that what it is worth. When it goes out, nobody at the call center knows ANYTHING, so you have to have a tech out and there is a 4 hour window when they MIGHT show up I am so disappointed in fidium and the people who work for the company. Poor quality, poor service, poor value is what you get with fidium. read more

Don't waste your time with this company go anywhere else for internet service. We have made 4 appointments and they have canceled every single one. When you call your on hold forever, once you finally get through it's almost like thay hang up on purpose. The customer service is a joke at best. read more

I decided to go with Fidium. My installation was scheduled for this morning between 8am and 10am. Fidium sent me three reminder text messages alerting me of my upcoming installation. The most recent were last night and again this morning. Knowing this was happening, I scheduled a vacation day from work so that I could be home. Well, 10am came and went and no technician. I figured they were running late with a previous installation and I waited patiently. Well, the rest of the day came and went and no technician. I called Fidium and after getting past around to four different CSR's I got connected to the most nasty and insulting woman. She proceeded to tell me that I cancelled my installation on Oct 1st. I told her that was the day that I placed the order and that I received three confirmation texts and emails. Yet, she still insisted that it was cancelled on 10/1. Fidium couldn't even do an installation appointment without screwing it up. I can only imagine how bad there service is. read more

this service is good. I'm on the 2 gig plan. I get 2.3 gigs up/down at all times. Best internet I have ever had. Most people writing reviews are probably using the company provided router. DO NOT USE THAT. USE YOUR OWN ROUTER. This goes for pretty much any isp these days. The default router is usually trash. As for the costumer service. Its been fine tbh. Also my network hasn't gone down once in about 5 months. Although with this service it seems like you just have to prey you wont have a bunch of downtime problems. read more

I took a day off from work to be home during an installation that was scheduled weeks prior. I called up and they said "oh this was canceled". Didn't say why. Didn't care why. Still no internet, hold time awful, continue to get transferred from customer service to billing to tech support with no answer. 3 hours yesterday, 2 hours today and again on hold and I'm sure I will get disconnected as usual! read more

A Fidium service worker came to my door. I work from home and was in an important meeting. He kept knocking and knocking, and my dogs kept barking. I couldn't hear a thing in my meeting. I got up and opened the door. I told him I was in a meeting and he would have to come back. There are padlocks on my gates due to some past bad experiences. He ignored what I said and went in my back yard anyway. Of course, the dogs went crazy, and once again, I couldn't hear. He must have had a master key or something because he was able to unlock the gate. I asked him to leave, but he said he has a job to do and has a right to come in my yard. I know that, but he has to work with the home owners. I need to be warned when someone goes in my back yard. I was very angry, and I also have a job to do. Because of him, as a representative of that company, I would never use them! read more

Charge you for 2 gigabits of speed only to give you the worst speeds ever. Constantly losing connection, streaming quality is terrible, and when tested the speeds are abismal. read more

We moved and tried to cancel Fidium and we literally can't get rid of it. The call center person said they'd be sending the mailing stickers to our new address but it's been MONTHS and all we have is a bill for internet we haven't used from a location we no longer live in. Is slightly faster internet worth the 3+ hours I've been waiting listening to bad elevator music in hopes of just having "tech" send me this mailing sticker? They won't let me close this account until I send back the equipment but won't connect me to someone/actually give me the opportunity to send the equipment back. I would NEVER recommend FIDIUM to ANYONE read more

After three scheduled appointments, tech showing once and leaving without operational and 5 hours of waiting on hold to attempt to get Fidium. Told them to forget it. I have had Fidium Internet service for around nine months. When it was working, it worked beautifully, fast and reliable. that said, my service has been down for over two months. My fiber optic cable was installed very shallow. We under a dirt road that is graded several times a year. My line was cut during that process and two months later, it still has not been fixed. Just this week, I have been stood up twice by scheduled to come to my house. I have not been notified when an appointment is canceled or delayed. I have spent hours on the phone with customer service. They are always sorry for the inconvenience, but I get the strong feeling that nobody really cares. My impression is that the product is good and the service is absolutely horrendous. read more

I scheduled for a service technician to come on 7 different occasions. Each time, Fidium managed to find a way to mess up the booking. This included a no show from a technician, service being installed at the wrong house, and repeated scheduling mishaps that cost me nearly a weeks worth of wages in order to be present for the non existent installs. Fidiums only response was to offer me 2 free months of service or have me cancel the install. I canceled all together and never will consider using them as provider. ​ read more

Some of this was my ignorance of their business hours. Customer service people are available Monday through Friday 8-5 Eastern time. No one can re start your service or take care of a billing problem after 2:00 pm or weekend California time where I live. People on the phone that answer are polite but aren't clear about details. They just read off their instruction paper like they're trained. Sign of the times I guess because companies outsource their customer service outside the U.S. for for cost reasons. Terrible company, even worse customer service. 1. They failed to inform me of my account being deleted (after I had just paid it off) and would have to start as a new customer 2. Lied to me multiple times of when a technician could come turn my internet back on 3.Failed to release the order for my services to be turned on, and waited for the supposed day of to tell me the the order never was released To say the least I will not be continuing with there services next month very unprofessional company. read more

Absolute bozos with ZERO professionalism. Had to take a day off to wait for these clowns to show up, but they never did. Naturally, they never called or e-mailed back to either apologize and/or reschedule. As for their tech support, what can I say? I'd rather talk to a wall, that would be less frustrating as a wall would be far less obtuse than these so-called CSR people. Apparently, we would need to track them down and beg them as they proactively wouldn't reach out. Sorry can't do, we're the customer, Fidium is the one soliciting business. If that's the best Fidium can do to earn our business, I can only imagine the "quality" after becoming a customer... It's a shame as the home install was going to be the trial for a business install. By showing a complete lack of professionalism, Fidium has shot itself in both feet! Not to mention the whole neighborhood that was going to switch if we recommended it. Fidium shot the whole centipede with one bullet! On the techno-marketing side, even though 1GB symmetrical might sound attractive, what is the point of 1GB upload? Standard cable is around 25MB upload and 600MB download for $25/month less. Fidium, other ISPs like Spectrum and Comcast thank you for your incompetence as you are making them look like rock stars! read more

Six calls trying to get to either tech support or customer service just to download a .pdf statement from their website. Tech support doesn't troubleshoot billing issues. Billing is handed by customer support and they have gone home for the evening. Got routed to consolidated communication tech support once. When I told them what I was trying to do she said she doesn't take fidium calls and transferred me to an overseas call center. Great job folks for the help. As an aside, if you sign up for the 2 gig plan, you only get one gig through their modems. You have to purchase another modem to get 2 gig speeds. read more

I moved into my house in July. My mother waited for OPTIMUM to come and install hardware. While waiting a technician came to my house and mom let him in. He installed hardware. Come to find out it was FIDIUM. I have cancelled with FIDIUM. To day 12/05/2024 a man comes to my house. Mom did not know anyone was coming. She let him in then called me. I had to speak to tech. I found out he was there to reconnect. I asked him for who. He said FIDIUM. I as ked for who. He had the wrong house and took off. BAD intrusion. MY MOM IS 80 YEARS OLD. read more

Requested to install a new account last week that was scheduled 1-3. I was called early that morning from a tech asking to come by earlier than scheduled, I said no. He proceeded to call 2 more times which I still said no, we need to stay with the scheduled time that was made. 20 minutes later the tech was outside my home, lurking around my neighbors. I went outside furious as I was working and felt like a boundary was crossed after I stated many times to stay within the scheduled time frame. He stayed around for a other 20 minutes after I asked him to leave and had the agent on the phone. Finally left after stating he was cancelling the order. It's a week later and I just received another visit from 2 other techs. Nothing scheduled, no update from the company or anything letting me know, they just showed up. I immediately went outside and said no thank you, please cancel. These gentlemen however took the hint and left. In personally have never dealt with a company that has such horrible service were boundaries are crossed. I was hoping for a positive experience with them and got the absolute opposite. Will not be using them ever. read more

Fidium customer service is not good. They are not allowing for a month trial and the equipment for free as the door knocker promised. Just received a bill. The agents on the phone treated me like I was stupid and ready for a fight, they did not talk up their product or try to resolve the issue, just made things difficult. The door knocker guy never called me back when I left a message for technical support. Now I am stuck with having to ship back the equipment. They send people to your door to sell you a bill of goods, but will not send someone out to pick up that bill of goods. I am so frustrated. read more

It is fine while you have no issues but when you do there customer service will drive you crazy. Hold for 30-45 minutes to get in touch with a call center in a far away foreign land. They will read off of a troubleshooting script which will consist of checking connections and unplugging/plugging back in. The first time they had me trying a few things then sending me outside to check the box. After 20 minutes(80 minutes counting hold time) they told me there was an outage(the first thing I asked when they picked up, he said no) Second time apparently there must have been an outside issue so they tell us it will be 5-7 days for a service call. We immediately cancelled after 10 months and are now waiting for return labels for equipment. Now a month later (after 3 calls AND a confirmation # that they were sending labels again) still nothing and they are known to try to bill for unreturned equipment in similar cases. BTW we are pretty happy with the 5yr guarantee price on gig speed from the "not popular" Xfinity and for all their faults won't make you wait a week with no service. read more

Give less stars if possible. Service sucks and customer service is horrible. Less than 2 months and I'm already done. Install was OK but technician was kinda brusque. Worked ok until we had a little weather (far northeast) and then service was spotty for about a week. Representative was incredibly rude to my husband when we called support. Canceled after that and it took 2 weeks to get return shipping label for equipment. Now it states I have 30 days to return before charging me for equipment. Well they already ate up half of that time so fingers crossed they receive my stuff in time. What an actual scam. DONT USE THIS SERVICE. read more

The worst service and customer support. I had my internet down and after continuous cal the technician was scheduled 5 days after. I had to go to hotel in order to work and my thanksgiving holiday is ruined coz no one wants to come to a house with no internet . I would sue this company if possible for making me go away from my home and live at hotel to get internet for work . read more

I am over Fidium, my husband wants to keep them because he's a gamer and it's the only fiber in my area but its unstable unless your hard wired, customer service is horrible, there communication between the other side of the planet and the US is non-existent, If there was a way to talk to someone state side I could have caught my tech. We have an issue needed a tech to come out, they were quick except the tech came and went without even notifying me he was here. My doorbell doesn't work (because its through my security system that needs internet,) no call, no notification, nothing that he had arrived. Install was great but after that it's been a shit show. The only direct contact I have had with them was yesterday when an offensive little man driving a car with an out of state license plate blocked my driveway and attempted to follow me into my house asking me to show him my Consolidated bill so he could tell me how much money I could save by "switching" to Fidium. For all practical purposes Consolidated and Fidium are the same company. Consolidated is attempting to ditch it's regulated copper wire service. So much for competition. read more

Worst 2 mos of dealing with an internet provider. Hold times are ridiculous, although when u are lucky enough to get a rep, they are nice. Canceled service and have tried to pay online my final bill several times, yet it said "no payment due. Now , I get a bill from a creditor called "credit solutions " who's just as useless as fidium. What a great match. Tried to log in with the info they gave - no luck! Tried the qr code - no luck! I'm so happy to be back with xfinity cause fidium is a nitemare. FYI, a special router is needed for fidium, which u can rent for $10, but speed is slower, and costs are more with the rental than xfinity with slower speed. read more

This company knocked on our door with their hard-sell tactics three times, making me extremely uncomfortable by not listening when I told them I wasn't interested. My boyfriend was home one of the times and they convinced him to try it for a free month, so they came out and drove all over our front yard trying to install the fiber on the telephone pole for the whole day, which they couldn't. Then they took over a month to come finish the job. Finally they got it going, but when they came to install the equipment they drilled a giant hole in our BRAND NEW hardwood floors to run the cable, and then slapped a whole ton of wood putty over it and all over the cable like that fixed it. Now writing this review because the internet has inexplicably decided it's not working for the last hour. Hate this company, from the first interaction. read more

Oh my god, I don't think there there is a customer service WORSE than Fidium/Consolidated, The reviews with one and two stars are ACCURATE! If there was a zero, I would select that. I canceled the service (for unrelated reasons- the actual service was fine) and had to call 3 times over a month to get a prepaid label to send the box back. When I called, customer service was inconsistent (different message from different people), rude (couldn't wait to get me off the phone and punt the call elsewhere) and confused (couldn't find the account/then found the account and couldn't figure out why). If you don't have an issue, you may be fine. If you want an issue resolved, good luck! STAY AWAY!! read more

I have had the service for two days in the 30-day trial period. On the second day my internet device was constantly up and down most of the day. It work well for 5-10 minutes then go unresponsive. Getting through to support has been a nightmare Oh I should mention, the reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because the installation guy was great. read more
