This was a couple years ago but I went there to get my leather Ren Faire bodice taken in. She was a bit confused and the language barrier was a bit of an issue because she didn't know it was for a faire and supposed to be REALLY tight LOL! The price was good considering it was leather but I left not knowing what I would get back after it was altered. I WAS BLOWN AWAY. She did WONDERFUL work, in fact amazing! She removed parts and put them back on and took it in so that you couldn't even tell it was ever any different. At first I thought it was very expensive but when I realized how tedious and detail oriented it was to get a wedding dress altered; I felt that it was worth it. My husband and his son also got their suits altered by Fidelina. We were all satisfied by the results. My only concern was that she got delayed in finishing the dress because she said she miscalculated the time frame. It wasn't that big of a deal since I still got the dress just in time before we left, it was just the stress of the "what if it didn't fit and we don't have time to fix it" or "what if it doesn't get finished" that bothered me. read more

The lady was very nice and works around your schedule but this place was expensive compared to other alterations places my friends have gone to. I brought my wedding dress here and my friends bridesmaids dress. We told her what we wanted done and every time we came back she didn't know or re asked us what else we wanted done. She saved the day! I was a bridesmaid in an out of state wedding. We ordered our dresses online. I had ordered some of the sample dresses for sizing, found one that fit perfectly so I ordered it. Just came in and I couldn't get it to zip by a couple of inches! I literally got the dress a week before the wedding. I Called Fidelina's and they were able to get me an appointment quickly. She looked At the dress and said she would have to see if she could let out the seams or she would have to take some length off the bottom to add to the seams. I have to say she moved very quickly she had my dress done in two days and I was able to try it on the day before we had to fly out of state. She did an amazing job! The dress fit perfectly and she didn't have to take any length off the bottom. The price was fantastic and her work was well worth it. Fidelina's is an alterations shop, instead of a dry cleaner doing alterations on the side. I was very nervous about having my wedding dress altered because I have fallen in love with it and the store sold out and not making that style any more. Fidelina's was very nice and patient about answering all my many questions and concerns. She was very accommodating to fit me in when it worked with my difficult schedule. Because she is so popular, there can be times that items aren't ready on the day they were promised, but I always allow extra days before coming by to pick them up. I came here last week to get a brand-new sport coat tailored. They had 5 full days to work on my jacket. As much as I really want to like this place, I find the work to be mediocre and very overpriced for what you get. Everyone seems to be nice and friendly but the fact for my experience is that the work was rushed (Fidelina told me herself) and even when bringing my jacket back a second time, for them to adjust, it's unlikely they made the attempt to fix it. It was still the same sloppy work. They even lost my garment bag. Very disappointed, I will never go here again. If I am paying Nordstrom prices for a cut, I expect quality results. I found out about this woman through word of mouth. The best way to hear about a business. I had gone to a couple of dry cleaners in town to have clothes altered prior to finding out about her, and I was never satisfied with the results. I have an odd shape, and she not only tailors your clothes to fix properly, but I swear she makes them look better on you. Since I found out about her business, I take everything there to be tailored if need be, because her work is impeccable! I have brought all types of clothing there, and I have brought other people there too because I swear by her work. She tailored a 500.00 suit for my son, and it was perfect. Everyone that I have recommended her to are very happy with the results. And her prices are so reasonable, I couldn't believe it. There isn't a long waiting time to receive your garment back, and she has seen other things wrong twice that I didn't notice, and fixed them (a zipper) at no extra charge. I don't know why she didn't charge me, and yet maybe it's because I bring everything to her that she recognizes me. It's hard to tell. She always is looking down working, but she knows who I am when I go there. If I were to move up to the bay area, I would drive down here for any alterations I would need done. I would just wait until I had a couple to get altered. She's that good. She's like the hair stylist that you would follow anywhere. I never thought about a tailor like that until she altered a garment for me. I will never go anywhere else unless I move out of the area entirely. I went there last year for my wedding dress. She was amazing, fast, and reasonable. She even helped me two times afterwards with such a friendly attitude. I've gone to other places in Gilroy and San Jose, and I'll never go anywhere else. I also appreciate that she quoted me up front and had me pay. Absolutely terrible. I brought my daughters wedding dress here to have alterations done. Every Time we came in for a fitting it was always a different story. I came to check on the progress of the dress one week prior to alterations being complete and it had been untouched. When I finally took it home it had not been streamed, so I had to do it myself. Upon stemming it, I found the tool to be jaggedly cut, looked like a kindergartener cut the tool. I called back asked her to fix it while i waited she said " yes bring it tomorrow and I fix it". So I arrived the next day and she wanted me to leave the dress for a couple days while she fixed it. She also said " no one but you will notice that the cut is uneven". My daughters wedding is in 4 days! I sat in the shop while she attempted to fix the dress. I will be fighting these charges on my credit card. Fidelina is an unprofessional butcher.
