In almost every case, the contractors refused the job, saying it was "too small." One of them actually demanded (yes, he demanded!) that he be allowed to knock down a wall between the kitchen and dining room! Just to make the job :big enough" for him to consider. Then we found Sal Corna. (Thank goodness!) Sal and his crew -- diligently led by Andres -- were thorough professionals. The were no surprises, no hidden extra costs, and the price was competitive and very, very fair. The job was done in about ten days (only five of which we were unable to use the kitchen). We're really glad we found Sal, and we hope to use Corna's services again soon.

He was very transparent on things I wanted that he thought either wouldn't look great (he was right !) or would compromise other parts of the house . He even had the crew build a small house for our kids under the basement stairs which they are obsessed with . Timeline was almost spot on to what he had originally told us . I always hear of nightmares with building/builders , but truly from start to finish I had a great experience with John and would do it again.

I gave dave 4 thousand dollars to paint an empty 800 square foot condo with no furniture and he didn't finish painting kitchen or hallways or closet shelves. It was an easy job. But it was a nightmare. I have a list a mile long. The straw that broke the camels back was him doing something simple like putting a rod in my closet to hang my cloths. Well I put my last piece of clothing on rod and the whole closet rods and brackets came out of wall on top of me. He came back after his vacation 1 week later and fixed it then he measured wrong and I couldn't open the drawers from dresser inside of closet that he knew I had to open the drawers. So that being said I couldn't trust Dave installing my cabinets for premier. He can't even hang a closet rod let alone cabinets. Hit or miss kinda a guy. Live and learn. Reviews are for a reason. Next time I will listen. That was a lot of money for me Beware.

We hated the drip, drip, drip of precious water. Danny fixed it in one short visit! Another plumber told us his repair was very involved with expensive custom parts, a building water shutoff, and with the daunting words, "it won't be cheap". Danny saved us from all of that. We will always go with Danny as our first choice. PS. He also repaired a loose bathroom tile, after fixing the shower.

I came across John and his team at Chicago Home Re/Vision after months thinking about a bathroom remodel and was close to giving up on finding a contractor. I'm glad that I didn't give up because (1) John responded within a day of outreach to come out and assess -- providing me a breath of fresh air, hope, and vigor for this project -- and (2) the final result was beyond my wildest dreams. From initial contact to end, John and his team were professional, communicative, flexible, and an absolute delight to work with. Prior to the project, John provided me a lot of advice on materials, aesthetics, and timeline -- which helped me mitigate some of the risks and what-ifs. Seriously, I wouldn't have installed a half shower door had he not advised that (1) it would be easier to install than a full shower door -- not that it would be a problem for me -- but as a result it would be easier to maintain, (2) it would look great with the vision I was going for, and (3) that it would be functional despite my first reaction. I had many travel plans during the summer, which made it difficult for me to say when exactly we could get started, however, Chicago Home Re/Vision was able to be flexible and accommodate a delayed start date. Mark was truly great. He normally doesn't service this area, but we'd worked with him in the past…read morein his normal service area and we had an electrical issue that was effecting our furnace, so he made the extra effort to come out. The house is close to 80 years old with some interesting wiring configurations and i can easily see some others either giving up or resorting to the more extreme possible causes (taking out part of a wall or replacing a whole fusebox), but he patiently, methodically, and thoroughly went through it and found the problem. Somewhere I definitely never would have guesses considering nothing had been plugged into that outlet for at least a year. Highly, highly recommend if you want someone who will make sure to leave no stone unturned before resorting to high-ticket guesses.

The reason I'm posting a 5 star review is that out of 7 different tile people, he is the only one to call us back, even though he couldn't fit us in his schedule. Must be a lot of tile installation jobs as the other 6 people didn't have the decency or take the time to return our calls. Assume they are too busy??? Wait, one other person did call us back & even set up an appt to come out......only problem is he didn't show up & never called us back!!
