Joe and Brian, you guys ROCK!!!! I was referred by our local gas station in Rancho Santa Fe, who said they send everyone who asks to you guys. Now I know why! Our Ferarri needed to have the SMOG test done for the registration. Sadly, the "check engine" light came on two days prior! Joe at FIC referred me to Chris at Coastal Foreign Auto Repair three doors down, who fixed the issue (a loose gas cap!) for FREE! Two days later, after confirming that the loose gas cap was the issue, Brian at FIC was able to SMOG our Ferarri in 10 minutes! These guys are AWESOME, and will now have all our business! I made an apt for my wife's Porsche 993 that has been sitting in a garage for a decade. My wife and I found out that FIC was closer to my house than some of the smog shops in Encinitas, they also have rock solid reviews.They cost a little bit more, but the convenience was probably worth it. I made an appointment for her, and we had a great experience. There was a young guy there, who had a lot of Porsche knowledge, and was really pleasant, he was so nice to all of the customers. The place had air conditioning and a nice bathroom. We really enjoyed our experience there and will certainly be back! read more

Not wanting to pay The Man the late fee to register my car, I called FIC and asked if I could get a test that day. They said sure, what time do you want to come in? I made an appointment for later that afternoon, drove in, waited only 20 minutes, and it was done. They even send the smog results directly to the gov. so I didn't have any extra paperwork to do. Incredibly fast! I was in and out within 10 minutes. Given that the last time I got a smog I waited 90 minutes, I was definitely impressed. Joe was very professional, and was able to help despite the fact that I had forgotten my DMV renewal paperwork. He just used my old registration instead.
