I was very impressed. I made an appointment and didn't wait at all. Brian was fast and friendly, what more could you ask for? They also have a great selection of magazines in the waiting room. This will now be the only place I go for smog checks. Highly recommended. read more

Great service. In and out quick with or without an appt. I have been her with several different vehicles and always has a good experience. My truck had a "service" light on when I came today and the owner kindly told me to get it checked out first since it would not pass inspection. He could have easily taken my $50 and sent me on my way but he didn't. I'll be back. read more

Excellent service and customer service for a great price! I highly recommend FIC Smog!

I called to ask if a smog check could be performed. The guy that answered said yes. After wasting my time driving down to this place the guy said he would not to take any more customers. This guy would not even make eye contact with any of the customers that were already waiting. read more

After reading Yelp reviews, I had my car smog checked at FIC SMOG last week. Boy, this was the best smog check experience I ever had! He was so courteous and professional. I was out in less than 20 min! Since I had another car for smog check, I went back there again today. I made an appointment and I arrived on time, although the place was pretty crowded today, he kept the original schedule and didn't make me wait to get started. I was out in 20 min again! I highly recommend this place!! Be sure to call in first to make an appointment. read more

I have had a few bad smog experiences. Based on reviews here I decided to give FIC smog a try for our MDX. What a pleasure. The owner does the work, truly appreciates your business and makes you look forward to coming back. Take note that FIC is tucked away all the way at the rear of center. Don't get confused by other smog companies in the same location. Make sure you are at FIC and ask fro Brian. read more

Always fast and friendly. No one wants to get their car smogged, but this is the best place around to get it done.

Excellent, no nonsense service provider. Same day service, out in less than 15 minutes. Pricing comparable to competitors. As exclaimed by the previous client, "woohoo it passed!" We are very satisfied customers. read more

I called at ten, he gave me an 11 appointment. I showed up ten minutes early and he was ready. The place was very clean and the guy was just as nice as the other reviewers said he was. I totally recommend this place. read more

Great, fast service! Was able to get my smog done and pick up lunch during my break. Thanks!

Fast, efficient, friendly, competitively-priced, immediate appointment, sent the paperwork directly to the DMV. I'm actually not certain what "better" possibly could look like. read more

I had been putting off my smog check forever because I dread the wait. Fic Smog literally had me in and out in less than 10 min. There is a little bench out front to sit on while you wait. I will be back! read more

This place is awesome! I called and got an appointment within 30 minutes. $59 later, my car passed and the wonderful mechanic Joe directed me to AAA across the street so I can get my car registered with the DMV. I highly recommend this place anybody needs a smog. read more

It's way behind Midas and other car shops, but keep driving back there and you'll be rewarded by speedy top-notch service at a good price.

In and out in under 6 minutes. The staff were super friendly. It was the best smog check experience I've ever had. HIGHLY recommend

From the time I called for information on my diesel to leaving FIC smog with my smog cert was less than an hour. Amazing service.

Professional, convenient, friendly and efficient! I made an appointment and was greeted promptly and out the door in less than 15 minutes. I will definitely return in the future! read more

Seemed a bit pricey, but I was in and out in five minutes, so totally worth it. Friendly service too. Happy customer.

Took my 2007 Honda Pilot for test. I had been there before without a problem. Came back 30 minutes later and was told by the manager/owner that the car had numerous failures. and needed repairs before it would pass. He stated that it was due to not having the valves adjusted at the 60K mile maintenance. I started my car and the 'check engine' light was ON. I told him the light was NOT on when I dropped it off. He said it was. He said take it to your favorite mechanic, if you don't have one I can recommend one for you. I will not mention the name of the shop but it was close by. I asked for an estimate for the valve adjustment. I was told I had to leave it overnight and that the cost would be minimum $480 for labor, plus parts. I used an OBD to check the problem with the engine. It read 'misfire on cyl 1-6' I erased the codes and took the car to another test station, on Hwy 101. It is owned by a female. I dropped the car off and came back 30 minutes later. She asked if I had done work on the car recently and I said I had. She said to drive the car 200 miles and let the computer reset and bring it back. Two days later I brought it back and it PASSED inspection. Two very serious problems with FIC and the owner. Number one - the car cannot and should not be tested if the 'check engine' light is on. He did, or said he did. Number two - a valve adjustment is NOT required at the 60K mile milestone. The test was performed in July 2017. read more

It's nice to get exactly what you need when you need it. No frills place, non- obvious location, but was able to get an appointment same day, and the whole thing took 10-15 mins. Very convenient! read more

Great service from a very nice man. This is all he does doesnt try to sell you on other things. I will never go to another smog place even if I had to wait & pay more at FIC. He seems to be very genuine and that makes a big difference. You will not disappointed. read more

Went there yesterday. Very friendly & professional. Quick. Reasonable price. I will return.

Finding this place is a bit tricky - the entrance is on El Camino Real, and there's a bunch of car service places in front of it, but you need to drive past those businesses and get yourself around back, then you can see it (the pics help). I had an appointment, got there a few minutes early and he was just filling out my paperwork so he'd be ready for me (don't see that level of service much, anywhere). I could wait in a little waiting room with AC and some magazines, or outside under a shade cover. He got the car all hooked up and on the machines, and then discovered there was an issue with my car - it's an overseas model and has had some servicing issues in the past, so that wasn't all that unexpected. He unhooked the car, explained to me what the issue was, and showed me what I needed to do to get it taken care of. And this was great: he didn't try to sell me a bunch of service I didn't need or refer me to his buddy. And - this was unexpected: no charge, just sent me on my way with some courteous chatter and helpful information. I don't need smog services too often, but this guy was trustworthy, courteous, timely and helpful, and will get all my business - and any I can send his way. read more
