I recently bought a 2018 Chevy Volt and have been having trouble connecting the Apple CarPlay. I knew the solution was quite simple but couldn't figure it out, so I stopped in at Dailey in San Leandro. The lads in the Parts Dept quickly determined that I was connecting with the wrong cable and sent me on my way. This is just a word of thanks for that little bit of time they gave me. Problem solved. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I purchased an SUV from this dealership a few months ago and was told by the salesperson, Kevin, that there was a second key and that it would be mailed to me. Unfortunately, I did not get that promise in writing, and now the dealership is denying responsibility. I never received the second key. I was later told it was somehow "lost," but no one can explain what happened. I've been trying for months to get a replacement key made and have been given the runaround. The salesperson takes a long time to respond, and I still haven't been able to get a clear answer or an appointment to resolve the issue. Management needs to ensure their sales staff communicate accurately and follow through on their promises. Experiences like this damage the dealership's reputation and leave customers feeling ignored and unsupported. read more

I didn't feel comfortable at this place. It was my first time looking at Chevys and there were 2 cars I liked. The salesman didn't want to let me test drive it. He kept asking if I was going to "buy". How do I know if I want to buy it if you haven't even told me any of the features and you're more worried about waiting football with the whole sales team than doing your job! I actually really liked the Chevy even though I've been driving a Honda. But now I'm looking up the features on my own before I go somewhere that people have time to show me cars! Show me cars that I want to drive. These guys are weird! Oh and by the way the car I looked at is the best rated car on Car and Driver magazine but they didn't want me to drive it... read more

Unprofessional, rude, disingenuous service toward eager Chevy Bolt buyers. We'll be buying, but not from Dailey, and you shouldn't either. My wife and I called hours in advance to book a Bolt test drive, specifically requesting and confirming a specific inventory model and our arrival time. After arriving, we were left milling around for nearly half an hour while staff apparently searched for an available Bolt. Finally, the lot salesperson rolled up in one, and parked it at a charger. After we examined the inside, we asked to turn the car on to examine the trunk, before taking it for the test drive we scheduled. The lot attendant said the car "is dead" and that we'd have to wait 30 minutes for a charge, as every single Bolt on the lot was dead. Bullshit. You have several Bolts in inventory. You can't tell me that after an eager, informed buyer arranges an appointment in advance, and travels to see you, you can't accommodate them promptly if you're halfway competent...it's just the usual scummy dealer tactics to get you invested. I expressed my frustration to the lot attendant (African American gentleman) and to Lisa, who booked our appointment. Both just shrugged and said a half-hearted "sorry". We'll be buying from a more respectful dealer. I'd avoid Dailey if you value your time. Also, the roof of the Bolt we looked at had the common rust-spots from transportation rails on the roof. The lot attendant claimed ignorance of this widely reported issue. read more

I leased a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 from F.H. Dailey Chevrolet. After signing, I reviewed the paperwork and found a $999 NexTraxx Theft Recovery charge included in the lease. This product was not clearly explained to me before signing. When I questioned it, I was told it was part of the deal and could not be removed. I asked the dealership to provide proof that the charge was clearly disclosed before signing and to confirm in writing that the product applies to a vehicle leased for business use. I did not receive a clear answer to those questions. This is important because the warranty paperwork I received appears to describe the product as intended for personal/private use and appears to exclude commercial, delivery, or non-private use. My vehicle was leased for business purposes, so I believe this should have been clearly addressed before the product was sold to me. The General Manager later called me, and the conversation was dismissive. The main response was that because I signed, it was my problem. His arrogance and language were shocking I filed a complaint with the California DMV. My recommendation: if you buy or lease from this dealership, carefully review every add-on charge before signing, especially theft recovery, GPS, etching, or dealer-installed products. Ask whether they are optional, mandatory, cancellable, and whether the coverage actually applies to your intended use. read more

Chevrolet San Leandro was amazing. The office was clean and the associates were all attentive. If you need a car go see cinthia!! She was straightforward, professional and went above and beyond. She made us feel like our business was important and put her complete focus on us and ensuring we left satisfied. Jayson the manager also came over and spoke to us and made us feel apart of the FH Dailey family. Ben completed the process and ensured he provided all the Information he could for us to make an informative decision. Thank you FH Dailey. read more

I brought my Corvette C8 in for service after receiving a dashboard message indicating the transmission filter needed attention at just 19,300 miles. The service advisor recommended an internal transmission filter replacement for approximately $2,600 and advised that it needed to be done. Something didn't feel right about this insusual serive. while my car was being serviced, I contacted other Chevrolet dealerships. One told me that the internal transmission filter replacement wasn't due until well over 45,000 miles and that j should be getting just the external filter replaced. Another dealership quoted the same service for $1,972. To be fair, I believe the dealership performed the service they charged me for. My concern is whether the wrong service was recommended or whether I was sold a service that wasn't actually needed at this mileage. When I raised my concerns, I didn't feel the dealership took ownership or made much effort to resolve the situation. One example: after telling me the price was $2,300, the advisor said he'd "see what he could do" and returned with a new price of $2,298. The money isn't the issue. The issue is trust. I left feeling taken advantage of rather than valued as a customer. It's unfortunate because I had generally liked this dealership despite its higher prices. Unfortunately, this experience has cost them my future business for both service and vehicle purchases. read more

All around bad experience. Poor communication and arrogant manager are just a few highlights. I'd never buy a vehicle from them.

I purchased my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST from FH Dailey. Ive been coming here for all my parts and fluids for both my Chevrolet vehicles. My Silverado's check engine light came on so naturally, I called FH Dailey to get my truck into their shop since purchased my vehicle there and this was the first sign of any problems with my 3.0 diesel. When I called, they said that only appointment they had was a week out. I asked if my vehicle was safe to drive, they transferred me to one of the technicians for advise. I told him what the symptoms were and the messages on the dash. (reduced power/ drive with caution) They said, oh, its a Diesel? our Diesel mechanic is out on disability and wont be back for 3 weeks. You can drop it off here but it will most likely not get started until the end of the month. They said to me that I could try Dublin Chevrolet, they may have a better timeline. This was very disappointing to hear. I appreciated the honesty but advising me to take a truck i purchased from them to another dealership was not what i expected from them. I ended up taking it to Dublin Chevrolet and their repair department got me in, fixed all the warranty issues and got me out by the end of the week. I will have to say I will be going to Dublin for my next truck purchase. Its unfortunate that this happened since I liked going to FH daily prior to this experience. read more

I took my vehicle in for service because I was experiencing a random message that the Stabilitrak was not working and the engine power was reduced to 25%. The check engine light would come on as well. They charged me for one hour of diagnostics. Later they called me and said they needed another hour of diagnostics. I objected but was told they couldn't fix it without the second hour. I picked up my car today (2/23/26), however the second hour consisted of what they should have done during the first hour. My complaints fell on deaf ears. Additionally, even though they replaced parts, they said that the problem might happen again. I tried to talk to a supervisor but could not. The service advisor kept running back and forth between me and the supervisor instead of letting me speak directly with the supervisor. Chuck was an amazing car salesman. He helped me with my new car purchase and was very honest and helpful throughout the entire process.

Highly recommend working with Jaz (Jasmine S.). She just helped me buy the first new car I've purchased in many years. It took me a while to find someone with expertise and who I was comfortable working with--Jaz had both and did such an excellent job. She was trustworthy, knowledgeable, went the extra mile and really made finding and buying my car a great experience. I had been looking at cars and working with different sales people all over the Bay Area, and Jaz was immediately personable, patient, very experienced, knowledgeable, honest and I felt she had my best interests in mind. As a woman buying a car, trust was of utmost importance to me--I immediately felt I could trust and work with Jaz. She answered all of my (tons!!) of questions, with no pressure (& none of the weird sales tactics that kept popping up elsewhere), and was supportive all along the way. I would recommend any family or friend to work with her--and anyone who works with her will be in good hands, get clear and candid information, a solid deal, know she has your back/best interests in mind and feel supported and well informed, which is key to making such a major purchase. read more

I had an Amazing experience! I was working with Jason, the Sales Manager on Wednesday with a deal on a 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe and I was so thankful he gave me the price I asked for. He gave me an Awesome deal on the Tahoe and he wanted to make sure I was happy, and I was soooooo Happy with the price of the car. I have been driving a 2000 Ford Expedition for almost 26 years and this Tahoe exceeds my expectations, Great SUV and Great Ride!!! Jason gave me Red Carpet Service the next day and had the Tahoe delivered to my home for a test drive and once I drove it, I knew I Loved it and went into the dealer that evening to purchase it. The sale went smooth and easy. Mike who drove out the Tahoe gave us outstanding customer service. He is very kind and patient and he took his time explaining how things work in the Tahoe. Very Happy that he helped make this deal happen. He was a very important part of the decision making because I knew I wanted to do business with a person like him! Extremely Disappointed - I've been a loyal customer for years -- I purchased my vehicle here and consistently returned for oil changes and services. Sadly, after two major miscommunications with the same service advisor, Jarred, I won't be returning. Most recently, I drove over an hour in traffic after being told my tires were confirmed and ready. When I arrived, Jarred informed me he had actually ordered the wrong tires -- for the second time. While he admitted the mistake, offering a $50 discount to come back next week, that doesn't even begin to make up for the time, inconvenience, and frustration this caused. What upset me even more was his dismissive tone, as if I should just take my business elsewhere. Whether intentional or not, the lack of empathy and true accountability was very clear. I expected better from a dealership I've supported for years. Two avoidable mistakes and no real effort to make things right -- that's how you lose a loyal customer. read more

FH Dailey Chevrolet - When I told the FHDailey service department they could blow me, this isn't what I had in mind. - Car Dealers Near Me - San Leandro, California

We bought a car here in August. Alfonso was the sales person that helped us. He is courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. I have dealt with several dealers, and usually they ignore you after a couple of months. This place is special, as it took less than two weeks. When you call you get voice mail. Most times you are sent to full boxes, so not able to leave messages. I have dealt with Diego, Andrew and most current Jeremy. When the car was purchased, there was a dent on the rear hatch. I was told to take the car back a week after the purchase to have the protective coating put on. After they completed the application, there were scratches on the hood where there was not any previously. They took it in the back and tried buffing it out. That did not fix the issue. I had to take the vehicle back to them in a couple of weeks after calling and leaving voicemails. When I finally got someone they apologized, said they were busy. Finally took it back to have the hood redone. I was given a loaner. I was told while they repainted the car, the rear hatch would be fixed as well. I was told they would call me back. I again had to call, leave messages, and finally after I just asked for sales and the person that answered was not someone I had dealt with. They had someone call me. That was Alfonso. He told me that the dent had not been fixed, that I could leave the car and they would get that done. Later I was called back, and was told that the boss wants his loaner back. That I can take my vehicle back and that they would call when the appointment was set up to repair the hatch. I had to leave work early to take back the loaner. I was told they are very busy, but will get that appointment set so the car can be done. A couple of weeks lots of call and messages later, I called and asked for Finance, Jeremy. I told him everything that had and had not gone on. I let him know that I did not appreciate the run around that I had been receiving. He apologized, and said they were very busy. He listened to what I had to say, and said he would look into this. After a few calls between us, he said that he could have the person that fixes dents come to me. I was in San Mateo. He said he would get back to me after talking to the repair person. Two weeks went by, and again I had to call. He again let me know that they were busy, and apologized. He said he had told the repair person the get in touch with me to take care of this. That did not happen. He said "I will call you back", which he did. He said my are is not in the persons area. I asked if I have it repaired would they reimburse me for it, he said they would. I asked what would be the maximum. He said Let me call the repair person again and see what can be done. I had let him know that I would take the care to the person, within reason. He said I will call you back later today, or for sure by tomorrow. It now has been three weeks since that conversation. I guess they just must be that busy. I have nothing better to do myself than chase them I suppose. I don't appreciate that I was offered these additional protection packages with my purchase of the car if the dealer is not going to honor them or even pick up the phone to assist with these services. The protection application that was suppose to be done, I don't think it was applied. I have a couple of stains in the paint where the birds have left their mess. I was told that they prefer that I take the care back to them for service. LOL! read more

Id give negative stars if i could. Today 042425 on 580 east bound exiting foothill blvd. at approximately 1535hrs i witnessed a parts department driver make several unsafe lane changes and also cut off another vehicle, changing lanes through a solid white line. Not sure why people representing a company feel the need to drive unsafely. It's even worst when you call the dealership not once but 3 times and can't even get ahold of management. They say it all trickles down. Im glad I'm in the business anymore because I couldn't even imagine the owner or owners of this dealership group. They're a joke. They can't pick up a phone. I called them before 4:00 and asked them when my car would be done? And they said it wasn't done but they would call me so I called 10 minutes later. And said I have to take a BART train down there and they said come right now. Oh I'm here and they're closed no one will help me and I don't have a car and it's dark I'm going to have to walk to the BART station. And take a ride back home. When I called to make my service appointment at with after 6:00 and I had no trouble making the appointment so I thought they were open like. No one called me no one told me they closed at 5:00 they let just let me take a law for it right down here. And feel no obligation to help me. They could give me a loaner car to drive home. They could call an Uber for me. They could say they were sorry. In the meantime I'm in the showroom oh there's easily a dozen people here. And no one has spoken to me since I told him to figure out how to help me. So I guess that's their answer. It's my first time here and I'm very disappointed. read more

[SERVICE EXPERIENCE] - Had a very positive experience at FH Dailey service department. Was in a bind today to get tires replaced for my mom's Chevy Bolt. She had a nail in her tire and was losing pressure, and needed to replace the rears anyway based on wear. We needed to fix this fast, especially given the rainy season. Called FH Dailey and got Cesar (service advisor). He was knowledgeable, efficient, quickly checked stock on the tires for me, and got us an immediate price and appointment with very little notice. Price was reasonable (we shopped around a bit), no attempting to make it more than it was, just good, fast, polite service. When my mom arrived, they treated her well - no last minute upsell, no BS. There were a number of other customers there also waiting for service, and they had her in and out in a under 2 hours. Treat my mother well and fairly, and you shall get a positive Yelp review. read more

I would not set foot in this dealership ever again. First off, the salesman lied to me when I was trading in my 2009 Chevy Tahoe on a new 2020 Chevy Traverse. He said he couldn't give me anywhere close to what a normal price for my trade in would be as it still had the infamous Takata airbag recall (got a recall notice 4 years earlier) and told me that as a new car dealership, they could not resell a car with an outstanding recall and would have to wholesale it out. Found out that's a lie. I tried for 4 years trying to get the recall fixed. After I bought the new Traverse, about 2 weeks later I went to their website just to see if it happened to be for sale on their lot. Sure enough, there it was for way more they they gave me on trade in. Now the worse part of this deal is a couple months later I get a phone call from my insurance company asking if I still owned the 2009 Tahoe. I told them no, I traded it in on a new car. I asked why she was asking me that. She said the car was involved in a hit and run accident and the other cars owner was able to get the license plate number. I found out the accident had already been turned into a company called LexisNexis. I had never heard of that company, but I guess insurance companies can check with them about any insurance claims for home or car insurance. It took me a long time to get everything straightened out at that company. I had called the GM at FH Dailey and he just blew me off and tried to get me off the phone as soon as possible. I had signed over the release of liability form and paid to have the registration changed out of my name. I am so mad even to this day that I did not sue the dealership. I'm sure I would have won. Please stay away from this dealer. read more

I will never Ever step a pinky toe inside of FH Dailey service department in San Leandro, California..I purchased a vehicle from them with 5 miles on it in 2015. Bought warranties, oil changes, parts etc. you name it ...Now my car has 115516 miles on it. So I went in today 04/30/25 for yet another oil change. Anyway Justin the young man that always helped me took pics of my car & got me all signed in for my appointment. Well you know they give you a courtesy carwash, well not today GABE the AssHole service manager told one of the young men that take the cars back to the garage for services NOT TO WASH my car because my bumper was FALLING OFF...Can you believe this LIAR represents this company that I have spent 1000s of dollars with? I cannot stand a Liar...Now mind you my bumper is not falling off & for him to say that made my head spin. So I told him if you are going to lie about my bumper to avoid giving me a $5 carwash, then I can't Trust you to change my oil or anything else as for as service on my vehicle. I was livid...Do not go the service Department because if a person tells you a lie like that just imagine how he has probably cut corners in other ways. So I left vowing never ever to return, even though I have saved up quite a bit of coins because I was thinking about purchasing another vehicle, plus I was going to take my son out there to purchase a brand new vehicle, not now! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I drive a 2011 Camaro Ls with horrible overheating issues, I've gone to 2 mechanics that both couldn't figure out the problems. At last I figured I'll just pay the extra money and take to the Chevy dealership where they'll charge a lot of money but at-least I'll know they can fix it. Well I thought wrong. After a $270 diagnostic they still couldn't figure it out, and asking me to come back another day during the week to charge me another $200 to "maybe find the problem" & at last when I refuse to bring my car back until it's guaranteed they can fix it, they stated that I might as well take it back to the other mechanic. So disappointed in Chevy, and no longer interested in doing business with them. read more

I recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and had a very positive experience. I live 2 hours away, so I did not want to waste my time driving all the way there if it wasn't going to work out. I was able to work with Alfonso S. and work out a deal over the phone. I was able to fill out the loan application prior to arrival, which helped the process go by much faster once I was there. When I arrived at the dealership, they had the car detailed and ready to go. I really appreciate them working with me and going back and forth over the phone. I got a great deal on my car as well. This was the lowest priced car that I could find in a 500 mile radius. Quality of the service department has really dropped off since my last visit. I knew I had some issues to be fixed, but this place should really educate its service advisors on basic automotive repairs. Rounding out the deal with Jeremy in finance, the dude was top notch at what he does, explained everything about the finances thoroughly. Didn't really know about the Blazer EV and I'm so glad I did some research because this car is amazing! Really makes the Tesla Model Y I was looking at a joke. I'm surprised this place has 3 stars. These guys are just typical car salesmen, and they will tell you anything and use all the classic tactics to get you to pay more for less. - have you test drive a car and then try to get you to buy a different model - try to get you to pay the price of a more expensive option pkg for the base model - discuss price in terms of out-the-door price instead of msrp - will tell you they can't order something when they always can - will tell you they don't have what you want available, even though they might - do a song and dance about how they're going to "bring the price to the manager" as if there's some behind the door negotiation and they're helping you out. Had the worst experience ever. Worse dealer. Well its the sales people. I waited 2 years for a c8 corvette. Did my deposit and when it came time to do financing greg kim Told me interest rate is 8 percent. I said i want to finance with a credit union. He said they will not call or finance with them. He said if you dont finance with us. We will not sell you the car. Because i waited 2 years i was paying msrp. They are selling this cars for 30k over. So they dont want me buy the car. Dishonest. Hid the bad news until after dragging me through 2 hours of paperwork, hoping I'd be committed to the purchase by then. They tried to sell me a repaired 2023 Chevy Bolt as new, with a 5K MSRP markup. Went through 2 hours of paperwork, and was about out the door with my new car, when they finally gave me the paperwork on the "minor body damage" around the "rear-left door" that had been repaired. In truth it was, 8K of damages to a completely different location than originally stated. Safi, the sales agent, lied (or made up) what the damage had been at the beginning of the process. I kept asking for specifics the whole way through the process. "Oh, don't worry, we'll get that to you before you leave. It was only 'lot damage'." They dragged me through 2 hours of paperwork and financing, and then finally, after everything was signed, they give me the actual listing of damages (pictured below). The finance guy (shaved head), acted surprised that I would care that my new car had just received $8,000 dollars of repair. It's only "lot damage" this isn't some accident that happened on the freeway. (Apparently, it's impossible to have major damage on a lot). I told him that Safi had lied, and the finance guy persisted that 8k of "lot damage" isn't a big deal. Also, "warranty prices make the price look higher than it is." But hey, it's only "lot damage." If a manager at the organization would like to reach out to better understand what happened, I would be happy to provide more details. read more

FH Dailey Chevrolet - 2015 Toyota Tundra Platinum - Car Dealers Near Me - San Leandro, California

The car buying experience was awesome here and I'd recommend this dealer compared to the other Chevy dealers in the Bay Area. We were looking for a Corvette to retire my husband's 2004 Tiburon and Ray and Denny delivered. I would recommend calling to see what they have in inventory and let them know what you're looking for, along with your budget. Call them before you buy from another Chevy dealer! At first we were looking for a 2019/2018 Stingray 2LT, but we ultimately ended up with a 2018 Grand Sport 2LT because they gave us a deal we could not pass up (we literally drove from the other dealer back home and took an Uber from SF to FH Dailey since we knew we were going to buy the Grand Sport). The car was in pristine delivery-ready condition and the service here from sales, F&I and delivery were great. I'd come back in a heartbeat for our next Chevy purchase (they even had a vintage 1975 Stingray on the showroom floor that my husband was drooling over - too bad parking is limited in SF!). Thank you FH Dailey! read more
