This is the third time we take our food at Fez. Before this we tried meze sampler, baba gannoush and chicken wrap. The food here is very tasty and the portions are quite big. A few days ago we also went to the store itself, there are a lot of interesting products and a great selection of oriental sweets. Aside from the delicious, scrumptious, large portions of food, the owners are delightful, accommodating and precise with our orders. The restaurant is very clean and it has a small convent store by the register where you can pick up desert, frozen food to milk. Finally ordered from here after driving by so many times. So glad I did. I ordered takeout twice so far. You can call in an order for pickup or go through Ubereats. I was so glad they have options for vegans and vegetarians! There was a vegan menu section and items marked vegan or vegetarian. It was good portions and fresh. Great flavors! This spot makes excellent food, but lately it has been taking them much longer to have food ready. Any time quoted needs a 20-30 minute buffer. You will see multiple people waiting for their takeout, and I would be very apprehensive about ordering delivery. Such a hidden gem! Love this place, I can pop in here and get a few appetizers if I want something light or I can get a heavier entree. The staff is always welcoming and will let you take your time. Moussaka is one of my favorite dishes but it does have a wait!! All appetizers are delicious & worth trying. Their salads are nontraditional and aren't primarily greens but have grains and lentils in them which is a nice change for a healthy lunch. The restaurant is usually quiet so it is very nice to have a business lunch here, they seem to do a ton of take out. For a dessert drink I go with the apple tea which is a but sweet but such a refreshing flavor. Baklava is served in thick and hearty slices and oh so sweet but perfect to end the meal with. Once they had a traditional dessert made of semolina and honey which was very filling and a good palate cleanser. read more

This restaurant is decent, however there are a few things to note before coming here. I'll rate each category on a scale from 1-5. Environment/Decor: 4 The environment was cozy and authentic. The Food: 3 The food portions are on the smaller side, and for the price I think the portions should have been bigger. The food was also a bit bland. The appetizers are appropriately priced for the portion and the appetizer was tastier than the entree we had. The Prices: 3 As stated above, the prices shouldn't be that much, when taking into account the portions and the quality of the food. If the food is bland and the portions are small, how can you justify the high prices? The Service: 3 There was one server and the manager. Obviously for a slow Sunday evening, there probably shouldn't be the expectation of more when one server, but the service was indeed slow, as there were only two other tables occupied, and the food took a while to reach the table. Perhaps the cooks are too slow? Overall this restaurant was just ok. If you're really in the mood for Turkish, then I guess you could go here, but I'd take more time out to search for a better place. read more

There was a looong wait for our takeout order, but it certainly was good! Oh and it's HALAL, which for this area is super rare, major points for that! We ordered a relatively large order for takeout as we were having company on short notice and placed an order about 45 minutes ahead of time. My husband ended up having to wait another almost half hour for the food to be done, which was really quite annoying, but the food was delicious and most certainly fresh. We all lost it over the moussaka, so delicious and filling, can't wait to get it again. The grilled halloumi cheese was also delicious and simple. The chicken saute and soslu eggplant were also good. The adana kebab entree was pretty good, however the kibbeh was a waste of time, don't bother with that. We also enjoyed the baba ghanoush, a classic. We are looking forward to trying other items on the menu and hope to eat in, but aim to give them plenty of time the next go around. read more

Oh boy do I have a review for this place. I will take my TIME with this review to make sure I warn people NOT to come to this disgusting poorly established place. If you want to skip the details just scroll to the bottom. I don't know how it even has 4 stars, 1 Star is even too much. This place hands down has the WORST service. I have never had such a terrible experience in my life at a restaurant. A friend and I came here for dinner, it's a Saturday night and not one person was sitting in there (that should've been a red flag alone). We ordered apps followed by tea/coffee. We then ordered our main dishes which seemed to look OK, however cutting into the chicken it was clearly undercooked and chewy. I spit out a piece into my napkin and called over the owner. She refused to cook my chicken longer. How can you insist on serving me raw chicken? I showed her my chicken and she claims the meat is just chewy but it's "cooked fine", you can say what you want then but I would still like it cooked more. She declined again and said "just eat the kufta kabob in your plate then" (which was btw disgusting but this is not what my review is about). She then grabbed my friends fork and knife and digs into her chicken to show a cooked piece. Like ok? What did you prove that her plate is cooked and mine isnt? Barbaric manners. A few minutes later a random woman came to our table with the bill. She was not our waitress nor did she work there. We were confused and asked for the waitress, instead of our waitress a man came to our table who happened to be the woman's husband. Turns out this couple is just friends with the owner, they did not work there and the owner nor waitress would not come to our table. I can not believe a random man had the audacity to tell me I have to pay for my uncooked and uneaten dish because I "chose" to order it and I can "take it home and cook it myself". He argued with my friend and I for over 20 minutes, I repeated asked for the waitress or owner to speak to because he had no business approaching us. He said "you'll be waiting all night then". Very unprofessional and disgusting atmosphere to eat at. I wish this place shuts down just for the way they treated us tonight rather than the raw chicken. On top of being served this, they also over charged us for our dishes! My dish was $22 they charged me $30 for substituting my rice with a vegetable??? They charged my friend $25 for her $20 dish with no subs! Unbelievable. If you made it through this full review I hope you also stay away from this place! They do not deserve any customers. They would rather lose business than taking 5 minutes to throw chicken on the grill. read more

The food here is amazing - I've eaten at Turkish restaurants all over NYC and I honestly think the food here might be my favorite and after moving up to Westchester was in desperate search of a local option. Hooray, we found Fez! Everything is so freshly made and flavorful, from the mezze to the entrees. Every time I go (probably have eaten there 5 times and taken out another 5?) I can't believe it's not more crowded, especially given how many mediocre italian spots there are around that seem packed to the gills. On that point... Because it's basically a husband and wife running the whole operation (cooking, serving, cashing you out, handling delivery orders, etc...) it sometimes doesn't run as smoothly as you'd like - that said, it's totally worth it. I think they're stuck in that restaurant limbo where they don't want to hire more staff until they get more business, so... you get the idea. It was good. I would recommend coming here. Nothing too memorable about this place but the food was decent. Definitely have the dips sampler! it's the best part. You can make a light meal out of it and not miss out on anything else. The rest of the menu is pretty standard and not too exciting. Whatever you do, don't send your food back. I recently decided to go back to my old favorite restaurant Turkish Meze and give the new owners a try...The new couple are interesting people who were lovely, warm and welcoming better yet, their food was better then Amazing. Their menu had many new dishes like Kibbe, Taboule, spinach and meat pies and much more was added that reminded me of the old country Lebanon. Everyone must give them a visit for sure and enjoy one or two of their many tasty and delicious dishes. I will be a regular for sure. If not for the service, I will give this place a 5 . We were there on a Saturday night. Restaurant is not packed at all so we expect service should be better. Based on the review, this is a family owned restaurant so when a young teenager asked us for our drinks , we didn't mind. There's no wine list and she just said we have a lot of wines. So there begins our adventure. We decided to skip the drinks. The girl didn't come back so I decided to stand up and waive my hand to the woman in the counter who was chatting with customers (probably regulars)? We Apparently she serves too as she came to us to take our orders. We ordered the sample appetizer platter, grilled shrimp kebab with fattoush salad (delicious), and chicken casserole ( good however too heavy). The platter was delicious and I can say can be split between more than 2 persons. It was served with 2 two pieces of pita bread so make sure you asked immediately for more than 2 pitas. We were seating there for 45 minutes and not sure what's going on with our orders as well the people next table who arrived after us is already paying their bills. Again, I have to stand up again to follow up as no one will check up on you. I cannot even get fresh paper napkins here without constantly waving to the teenager/server (overwhelmed by herself) . Food finally was served by a guy who I think is the owner . Seems he is charge of the kitchen. This place has a lot of potential to grow if the owners learn know how to treat right the "new customers ". We drove all the way to this restaurant for 18 miles so we are pretty disappointed. What can I say this has to be the best Turkish food I have had in a while! So fresh and their sauces are delicious. Go try this place out if you haven't yet! I reccomend the MUJADDARA made with lentils, rice, onions, cumin and also their chicken shish kebobs, the rice is so flavorful. I also had their homemade baklava for dessert and it's simply just amazing. If you enjoy a good salad try their Mediterranean, tabbouleh salad, Israeli salad all so good! I am shocked at the several less-than-stellar reviews. To us, this is among the very best restaurants of any type anywhere, and the value is tremendous -- yes indeed, not cheap, but underpriced in view of what you get. We LOVE it, and we go there and take out from there every chance we get, which is often. I don't disagree with the several comments that they are often 'off' in estimating how long they'll need to prepare a take-out order, but we've learned to roll with that, and we consider it well worth it. (BTW the "dining-in" service is very prompt, in our experience.) I would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could -- we LOVE this place! read more

We ordered from Fez through Uber Eats and the driver and delivery service were great!!! The food, however, was just ok, definitely good portion sizes, but the order took 2 hours total. We ordered on a Sunday and had 2 meals, an app and a soup. Very disappointing that the food took forever, and then when we did get the food the fries were soggy and the falafels were hard as a rock. We were so excited to try this place, but this was a one and done for us. Maybe you'll have better luck. read more

Loved our dinner at Fez, there's so many marked vegan and vegetarian options on the menu and everything was really tasty! I was pleasantly surprised by how large the mezze plates were. That is NOT a Turkish restaurant or at least the food they serve is NOT Turkish. I ordered red lentil soup which is a very common &easy to make Turkish dish. I got something blackish gray liquid, didn't taste anything. I had to send back. I also ordered lamb shank as a main course. I ended up getting a piece of lamb meat swimming in a liquid ketchup which they called "tomato sauce". The rice was bland plain, not sure where it was from but definitely not Turkish. Even Turkish tea was nothing close. I bet they never even had real Turkish food before. Maybe the previous owners were Turkish?My recommendation to the establishment is to either hire a Turkish cook or get someone who knows how Turkish food is supposed to taste. read more

Wow - this was a pleasant surprise in Mamaroneck. Went there with my wife and son for an early Friday dinner and got to say the food was excellent. Great dips to start and really liked the mixed grill (3 types of kebab). The owner was really attentive and we had a great meal. Best I've had since traveling in Turkey. Only draw back is they don't have their liquor licence yet but I popped out and bought our own. (An ice cold Efes would be perfect) This place is off the main road just around the corner from Smashburger (ugh!) but we thought it was really good - thoroughly recommend and we will be back. read more

I completely disagree with the review left by Loreal P. and I feel that this person has a hidden agenda in leaving such a negative review or left the review for the wrong restaurant. There's another middle eastern restaurant around the corner & maybe Loreal was mistaken as to where she was. The food at Fez Turkish Meze is exceptional. In fact, the price that Loreal quoted with regard to the grilled Halloumi cheese is wrong. The price on the menu is $7 not $15, just another indication to me that she is leaving this negative review for the wrong restaurant. On a final note, clearly Loreal has no idea about Middle Eastern or Turkish cooking as the lamb dish, Kefta, she ordered contains parsley which of course would look greenish in any dish. In fact, I would not want to eat brown parsley! Alternatively, some people are just haters. read more

I ordered hummus, cheese puffs and adana kabab. The cheese puffs and hummus were very tasty. The pita bread served with the hummus was ridiculously stale and crumbled apart. Kind of felt like there were trying to make use of old bread instead of just tossing it. The adana kabab suprised me with how small the kabob was, and not suprisingly, after eating it I was still hungry. I would normally expect at least two of that sized kabob to be served with an entree. Flavor was fine.
