These people are awful! My dog came home with blood on her feet (from poorly clipped claws). I called to complain and the girl said she "was sorry, her medication wasn't right" --- WHAT???? What kind of people are the owners hiring. I also heard of some abuse after I put a warning out on Nextdoor_DOT_[com]. People told me about strange scars and bruised their animals have received in the past too. STAY AWAY!! These people need to be shut down! read more

I wrote my first review too soon. And I really had to soak in the outcome of the second experience to decide how I felt about it. It took my 3.5lb toy yorkie 5.5 hours to be bathed and cut. I dropped him off at 1p. I did not leave with him until almost 6:30p. I feel that this is completely unacceptable service. There is absolutely no excuse to make this okay. I am so extremely disappointed. It threw off my entire day and, honestly, I never want to bring him back here. Never, at any groomer that I have taken my yorkie to, has it ever taken longer than two hours for a full service groom. Not only that, but he looks absolutely terrible. I dropped off my dog at 2:00 I asked for last appointment. I decided to stop by at 5:00 . Hadn't been started yet (in cage) I asked, how much longer? One hour and a half. Came back , still not done. Another half hour. 7:00 p.m . She told my husband.She had a dog that was matted. My pet was very stressed . They should have back up assistance in these situations. 7:00 p.m is unexceptionable for us. Heads up! read more

We dropped off our dog at 10:00 am. We gave specific instruction to Sara, that we did not want our Golden Doodle cut like a poodle. We asked for his head and face to be trimmed but not cut short. We did ask for his body to be trimmed shorter due to the warmer months ahead. We were told we would get a phone call within a few hours, but at 3pm still had not heard from them. I arrived at 3:30 to pick up my dog and when I walked in to the shop I told them I was in to pick up my dog. To my surprise he was still on the table but he was unrecognizable. I honestly did not recognize my dog. My heart sank. I made a comment to Sara, and she told me she had to cut him short due to matts. I brush my dog regularly and felt like I was being shamed. We had our dog groomed at BARKWASH 6 weeks prior and I brush my dog several times a week. He did have matts around his beard and goatee from food and water and he had some matts around his feet as he spent all weekend playing in the water. He did not have severe matts and did not need to be shaved down like a poodle. If Sara felt she could not properly groom our dog as we requested she should have called us and gave us the option. Sara unfortunately took it upon herself to give our dog a standard poodle cut. Poor customer service, we were excited to give this place a try. We were referred to Sabrina but she was booked out so Sabrina offered to have Sara do it. I regret trying this place out. Should have stuck with BARKWASH!! read more

I've been having my dogs groomed by Sabrina for over 10 years. I've followed her to 2 different businesses. When we moved across town, I switched groomers which was a big mistake. I now drive significantly out of my way to have her groom my dog. She is professional but kind. Fetching Furs is extremely busy which shows how much "in demand " their services are. All of the groomers are great but Sabrina is special to us. read more

Hands down the best grooming experience we had with my senior and arthritic cocker spaniel who hates being groomed. We see Sarah. Sarah is incredibly patient with my special needs dog. If my dog gets worked up, Sarah will pause, give my dog a break/rest, and resume once my dog has calmed back down. Sarah doesn't force my dog to do anything and works at my dog's pace. If my dog is feeling tender in her joints, Sarah will put my dog in a special hammock, relieving pressure and pain for my dog. Even though my dog hates going to the groomer, she'll greet Sarah with a wagging tail and will walk back to get a bath with her. When we moved to Boise a couple of years ago, I tried a few diff groomers and never felt great about any of them, including having a horrible experience with one that left my dog shaking and in pain. Two of those groomers were on various "Best of Boise/treasure valley" lists. I found Sarah via following the Meridian Canine Rescue on Instagram. Sarah volunteered her time to take care of one of their dogs and MCR spoke highly of Sarah so I googled to find her number. This place also grooms cats. They are true animal whisperers. read more
