The first being the fact that the girl in charge of making a sale on us wouldn't hardly give us ANY information about the puppy.. very avoidant of questions about his health, his cost, etc. She was thrusting us into buying the dog from the moment we played with him. I had to become rude with her in order for her to give us information on him, as well as his cost and financing options, and even his vaccinations. We ended up purchasing the puppy and then taking him to his first vet visit, where he tested positive for giardia. When I contacted the store about compensation for his medication, I was met with crickets and then a referral to their customer service department-- still to this day cannot get in touch with anyone. These folks could care less. Now, fast forward to his SECOND round of giardia medication, I am out $150 through this medication for giardia. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I had to take him to the ER vet in the middle of the night a few nights ago because he started snorting violently and not being able to breathe. Add another $300 for ER visit and tests. The worst part? And the point I want to get across the most from this review.. Knowing more about puppies and medical terms now, I sifted back through his paperwork. At 8 weeks old he was given Panacure x3 a day, THREE SEPERATE TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF 3 MONTHS. This poor puppy has had Giardia CONSISTENTLY ever since he was born. And I background checked the supposed "breeder" of his.. he was purchased from a puppy mill in Iowa. The rumors of Fetch are indeed true. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR DOG FROM *ANY* FETCH STORE. went in their store today with my wife, and the conditions of the dogs there was awful. I am an animal lover, especially dogs, and this made me so angry. Those dogs deserve better. There was a cocker spaniel shivering in the corner of their enclosure. In the center was a blanket covered in liquid stool. To me, it looked like giardia - a parasite that causes a dog great abdominal pain. Said parasite is very easily spread, and can infect humans. I pointed it out to one employee, and they didn't know what I was talking about. Then I mentioned it to another and they said, "we know what we are doing" ... Apparently not, because the first employee had let one of their puppies loose. I nearly tripped over it, and then it almost ran out the front door into the busy street. Do not go here to buy a dog. If you go here at all, go to report your own experiences and save these dogs the best way you can. Every animal there looked in poor health, poor spirit, and just plain neglected. We love our frenchie we purchased in March from Fetch; however our vet visit done in the first week showed he has Giardia. We didn't know then just how difficult this parasite is to deal with. We are on the 3rd round of medication trying to get rid of it and our other pets are also all on medication now as well. They try to sell you on the fact they they've had all of their shots when they are too young to have had them all. They do the "shots" themselves and claim a vet does. Ive noticed a lot of reviews have been taken down and I will say that, not only is it illegal, but The Consumer Review Fairness Act also makes it illegal for companies to include standardized provisions that threaten or penalize people for posting honest reviews. I will say, based on my personal experience, the puppies are not happy as they wine when I walk by nor do they live in the biggest cages imaginable considering some have to share their living spaces with other puppies. Some of the employees are not the friendliest and lack the information that comes with each breed. The prices are on the higher end and the dogs are riddled with illnesses. Every time, someone writes a negative review about the dirtiness, small enclosures or the puppies happiness, the company then wants to write a fake 5 star review of the opposite of what is being said. If reviews keep being taken down, I will report it to the Department Of Health and Agriculture or the Attorney General of the State. People should have the freedom to express honest and fair reviews without feeling judgement. If people have negative experiences, then your company should be able to grow from that to learn from your mistakes. If you can't take criticism, then you shouldn't have a business. read more

So let's get this out of the way and let me start by saying I'm a hypocrite and ended up going back roughly a year later and purchasing a dog with the credit we had. Now the update. After purchasing our GSD there that was supposed to be from pedigree parents with no hip dysplasia or problems and AKC certified I can assure you that's a joke. He is now 1.5 years old now and such a sweetheart but has had so many problems. Allergies so medication, stomach issues so a special diet, and now he has just been diagnosed at again 1.5 years old with hip dysplasia. Doctor said this could be due to breeders just breeding for pretty dogs but gene lineage isn't good. Granted these things come with GSD but the hip dysplasia this early?!?!?! We do not regret buying him at all. In fact we are glad we did because who knows what he had been through there. Even after bringing him home he had kennel legs for a few weeks until he got the hang of it. As far as the hip dysplasia we will be getting surgery done on him soon so the arthritis doesn't get worse (he already has some now the doctor said even though he's not really showing it). I'm just glad we caught it early. Steer clear of this place!!! Great place to pet puppies but that is it. Again I still would give them zero stars if I could. read more

This is a beautiful store. Clean and well kept. Nice areas to meet and get to know the puppies. The staff were very clear to ensure everyone uses hand sanitizer before and after each puppy they touch. Aurora was amazing! She knew about the dogs and was so full of information. When she chatted to me about what I was looking for, she suggested the puppy and we were a match! I did play with others, but her instinct was perfect. The staff made my puppy experience so special. I was concerned about puppy mills. They have paperwork of where the pup came from and history. Mine comes from a home breeder. I understand people that it's best to adopt a dog from a shelter. I went into this store a while back with friends and walking into the store we immediately were taken aback by the smell. Feces, urine, and a strong cleaning product (assuming to cover the smell) were so strong it was noticeable as soon as we stepped inside. We were not greeted by anyone and couldn't see an employee anywhere. We saw a bunch of puppies that we wanted to pet but as we approached we realized the dogs are filthy, much too large for their cages, and looked ill. This store was clearly highly trafficked by people coming into to pet the dogs and then leave. Groups of people surrounding the tiny cages grabbing at scared dogs. The oldest pet I saw was 6 months old and hardly had any room to lay down on the urine soaked cage. We searched for an employee to ask about the conditions and adoption process but could not find anyone. read more

BLUF: My dog has gastrointestinal issues that has been very expensive and still an uncertainty as to the cause. When I got him he was malnourished and had parasites which has led to growth issues. He's a giant breed dog weighing in at 80lbs, so either the malnourishment caused the growth stunt or they lied about the purity of his breed (which I'm considering verifying). After a year of being told they would help financially pay for all the complications they have been saying that and never following up with information or solutions. DO NOT GET YOUR PET HERE. MANY PEOPLE GET DOGS WITH PARASITES AND COMPLICATIONS AND THEY ARE INSUFFERABLE AT WORKING WITH IN THOSE SITUATIONS. LONG STORY: The staff was great at first. Allowing for puppy play time and discussing dog breeds in depth, with at least a moderate amount of knowledge. The price was high, but I fell in love with my puppy and had to have him. The problem came after I got him. I got him and he had parasites and was concernably underweight. Come to find out that many people who buy dogs from this store go home with dogs with parasites. My dog got sick and had to be taken to the vet many times, summing my vet totals to be more than the hefty price tag I paid for him. I called the store, as my vet instructed, because they said that fetch would pay for some of if not all of the testing that was having to be done. I called them and they were unwilling to correspond with me about the issue. After months of trying I was able to finally get through to someone, a store manager, who told me that they would be able to pay for some of the testing that should would look at the vet records and get back to me and that they would send me a check in the mail or call me with numbers and I could pick the check up from the store. Never heard back. So once again I was calling and calling coupled with visiting the stores hoping to catch someone who could help me. Left several voicemails, and finally received and email about the issue. Still no response. To say I am infuriated is an understatement. This has been a year of me trying to resolve an issue that I was told was going to be resolved at some point. They do not care about you or your dog after they get your money. My dog now suffers with gastrointestinal problems, stunted growth (from malnourishment or the store gave incorrect breed information because a giant breed dog weighing 80lbs is highly unlikely), and hip problems starting at just a year of age. They sugar coat their store but it is not a place I would ever recommend someone because the care for their dogs obviously isn't there and they do not care about the health or well being of your pet once you leave the store. Also, I will make sure to review this place on every platform and get the word out. Once Google review opens back up I will promptly post my review, and I am going to advise anyone from getting their pet here. read more

We absolutely loved Fetch! It is a lovely store. The decor is gorgeous. There are numerous items that can be purchased including dog treats (made by Fetch bakers locally), toys, feeding equipment, dog carriers, collars, and more! They have a large selection of puppies for sale. The puppies looked clean and healthy. Their glass enclosed spaces look clean as well. We chose to "look at" Lady, a Golden Retriever puppy! She was absolutely precious. We were able to take Lady into one of the individual spaces to enjoy her! Too cute! We took him to the vet and then to a critical care center where he stayed for a week and was expecting to die. With a ton of prayer and a Miri always we got to bring him home again but he has many other health problems that have costed us too much money. My dog also developed digestive issues and is now on prescription food for life. I can only imagine this is due to his mixed breed background and not the "corgi-bijon" mix I thought I purchased. Reps were helpful and not pushy. 1 star for not better explaining what the actual price you end up paying when using their loan service. Puppy was quoted to be $4000 said I'd get a discount for putting some $ down. Pup actual amount 4400 and got 500 off so no actual discount. Said I'd put down 2000 and finance the other 2000. Received the approval and signed 1 document electric online for the difference. Emailed their loan company Paytomorrow requesting copies of the agreement. Received it 4 months later. Loan is actuall a LEASE!! And under all the finance info it states: PURCHASE OPTION AT END OF LEASE TERM. You will have an option to purchase the Property at the scheduled end of the Lease for $1,829.84 official fees and taxes. This additional amount that was not mentioned at the beginning of the purchase nor on the sales receipt with the store. So if you decide to purchase DO NOT do payment plan!!!! You'll get charge$$$. Horrible place to purchase an animal. I purchased a beagle puppy. She was positive for parvo. She is right now in my local vet's animal hospital and I do not know if she will make it. I paid Fetch Puppies close to $4,000 for the puppy. It is up and down as to her condition. Someone named Peter called me from FetchPuppies and told me he was the President of Fetch Puppies. I asked him for his last name and he would not give it to me. I do not want financial restitution but want better conditions for the puppies. Peter is not offering to improve conditions. The free standing Fetch store located across from the Beavercreek Mall is modern and all pups appeared to be clean. We (my children and I) were greeted with a smile. Even a rep that was leaving work for the day greeted us as she was leaving. The accessories and treats seemed reasonably price which is probably all that I'd purchase from there. I'm almost positive these pups come from a "mill, which I am on the fence about. Dear Fetch in the Fairfield Commons Mall, I am totally opposed to buying from a pet store, but you had a basset hound that Nick fell in love with. The dog was too big for the space you had him in, and was well older then the other dogs. After you told us he had spent the last 11 weeks in the cage and would give us a discount to buy him, I gave in. Knowing good and well what would've happened to him had he been there much longer. Three days ago Hemi had to have entropion surgery on both his eyes, a hereditary disease. We purchased a 90 day health plan that would reimburse the cost of the surgery if it was for hereditary reasons. And just like the vet said, you would fight us. You told us you may or may not cover the cost of surgery because of a missing vet signature, and wouldn't allow us resubmit it properly. So instead you are going to submit it corporate, and "see what they say." Right now I'm sitting here with this poor dog with a cone on his head, miserable, stitches under both eyes, swollen... And you want to tell me no? Let me tell you Fetch, you are going to reimburse me every single penny I put out for this surgery. Your vet missed the issue with his eyes, mine did not. Fetch, if you want to fight, I'll give you a war. I'll tell every single person how shitty of a company you are. I'll be in your store every day questioning you and your practices. I was in the Dayton Mall store today 3/31/14 to look for toys and goodies for my dogs. While looking around, I noticed a very tiny ( obviously less than 8 weeks old) Jack Russell Terrier pup. He never raised his head the entire time I was in the store. While standing there, another customer started talking with me. I told her I preferred to adopt/ rescue a dog rather than purchase from a store. A Fetch employee overheard our conversation, she rudely said ....then why are you in the store? I responded with...just looking around. Then I left! Fetch is obviously selling Puppy Mill dogs. Sickly and under age. Many showcased as "Designer Dogs". BS for sure. I sincerely hope that anyone considering a dog will go to a reputable breeder, shelter or rescue. This store should be CLOSED for business. Me and my girlfriend had decided on a dog as we have thought about getting one for quite some time now. I told her that we would go look at fetch for ideas for a dog and she was over joyed. She wanted a corgi as her main choice because she loves how they look. We walked in there and I immediately noticed that some dogs looked malnourished and sick but I didn't say anything. Before we got one to look at and play with one of the employees had told us about a corgi in the back room. And my girlfriend nearly died from wanting to play with it. Before we started playing with it the employee said the dog was shy but it was more then shy it was practically avoiding us until I started messing with the toy she brought and then it was a bundle of energy. When I asked about how much the dog was she said it was 4575 after the 25% discount and that they did financing. Curiously I filled out an application to see how much I'd be approved for and was only approved for 1500 and would have to pay the rest upfront for the dog. That's where I stopped. Nearly 5k for a dog is a bit much in my opinion. I compared prices with my girlfriend about online breeders and other places and found breeders to be much cheaper by more then a few grand and told her that even if she was attached to the dog that's out of my price range and that I couldn't fathom spending that much on a dog. We went elsewhere and I canceled the application process. Pros staff are nice. Store was very clean. An employee was cleaning stalls on the regular after every use. Cons. Staff push for sales. My husband and I walked in to see the selection of dogs and they had a good variety but I was not impressed with the care that the dogs were getting. One dog had pooped on its blanket (I'm sure several hours prior from the looks of it) and was walking through it and had it all over him and no one was cleaning it up Other dogs had poop all in their fur. I know that happens with dogs but when you charge $4000 for a dog, you would think you would take a little better care of the animals. 3 large breed dogs in tiny cages - a boxer, a bull mastiff, and a mastiff. It's a disgustingly small amount of space. The mastiff's ribs and hips were sticking out and his feet were red between the toes from standing on the terrible wire floors. This is animal cruelty at its finest, and this place needs shut down. Please take the time to submit your feedback to the Mall At Fairfield Commons, and any animal rescue group that will listen. Their corporate owner is naturally a former contributing board member of the local Humane Society... maybe he still has some heart left. We visit Fetch every time we go to the Fairfield Commons Mall and after many visits we bought a puppy to replace our dog who passed a year ago. The following monday we took our new "registered" pup to the vet and she said he had an overbite. I was annoyed but the whole family was in love with him and we would have lost a ton of money taking him back. Now, his overbite is causing problems with his palate and off to the dentist we go. As for the registered part. Registered by the ACA which is worthless. I looked up the breeder. They have a lame website with stock pics of dogs. With some digging the guy who owns it is just another puppy mill operator. We bought a $100 dog for $1000. It would be irresponsible to breed our male with our female. As someone who loves animals but cannot own one at this time due to military service, I really love visiting Fetch in the mall as does everyone else in our home who misses sharing our lives with furry companions! They are an adorable little pet shop bursting with many ridiculously cute and whimsical doggie toys, apparel, trinkets and gourmet looking frosted dog cookies that I love to buy for my friends' doggies when they come to visit! They are often quite packed with people and have a diverse ever changing variety of puppies to choose from along with a few kittens here and there, but mostly pups. I am reviewing them from the perspective of someone who likes to buy their doggie toys and treats for friends, and as someone who likes to visit with their pups every now and then for fun. They have several neat little play rooms complete with toys, sanitizer and paper towels (sometimes even treats!) to get acquainted with the pups in. The employees are all absolutely kind and warm hearted people who truly appear to love working around animals and helping people meet their new furbabies! After hearing some distressing accusations regarding my favorite place to visit with pups, wanting to know the truth and not wanting to unknowingly support a place that supports the mistreatment of animals in any way, I actually decided to do some sleuth work myself and actually called up the kind people of Fetch this afternoon to impromptu interview them quite frankly with many straight forward questions in pursuit of answers. Of course, the answers come from the accused, so really, all they do is tell the other side of the story. I'd love to know more, but here it is for what it's worth. I also researched online to see if I could find testimony from past customers who purchased pups from this business with issues later on. I was able to find a few. Again, this is all rather speculative. I also found people online who claimed to know some of the private breeders they claim they get their pups from, and many happy customers too. It seems there is no good answer, other than to go here for toys and to play, and if you ever have a certain purchase in your future, go to a private breeder to be sure of how the parents are treated. This is what I gathered: Fetch is a privately owned local company with only two locations, it was explained they don't need to stock hundreds of puppies like large corporations do, thus no need to "buy in bulk". The owner himself hand picks their puppies from only local private breeders in the area, for instance, they mentioned New Carlisle, Richmond, Vandalia, Columbus, Cinci etc. They claimed they do not do business with "backyard breeders" nor do they get any of their puppies from mills or auctions of any kind. I am not familiar with what kind of a breeder would not want to sell their own puppies, though, so this remains an important question that I don't have an answer to beyond it probably is in your best interest to buy from a private breeder. I can attest that I raised 3 parrots years ago and after raising those birdies after hatching, could not possibly give them up to anyone else to sell. In fact, I didn't sell any of them! They remain with our family to date. Too attached! They said every new puppy gets a complete vet check, shots etc before being sold, and as far as genetic lineage goes, many of the puppies are registered with the AKC and other registries (person listed off too many for me to remember!) that authenticate lineage and are considered the authority in this respect, not the breeder's word or any particular blood test. This was how it was explained to me. They said they also have non-registered pups, as they are a pet store in the line of selling pups for pets and pets need not be pure-breds only, after all, but their explanations seemed pretty reasonable to me. I know for a fact many of the designer breeds aren't yet recognized breeds but are still wonderful, healthy, even genetically improved pets when it comes to certain pure-breed defects. The dachshund comes to mind with it's notorious back issues, that are improved upon breeding with other small breeds, for instance. Regardless, it does stand to reason, again, that a private breeder would sell their own pups. I'd love to meet one of their breeders and figure it out myself, but I am afraid that is beyond my scope of ability. When my Husband and I are able to bring a little furry addition into our family, we will be sure to adopt him or her through a reputable private breeder as we want to know the parents first, not a pet store. Regardless though, these little guys at Fetch exist now and have feelings, whether they were bred to be show dogs or pets, and deserve to be loved. Because of this, we stop by and ask which pup hasn't been out to play that day and give them a good play session! The puppies are so appreciative! So are we.
