A number of professionals worked with us to find relief for our dog. They contacted our previous vet for us to get records and even patiently waited when "put on hold" to get further details about previous treatments. All questions were kindly answered, our input was welcomed, and we were included in all of the treatment (drawing blood, administering fluids...). Just a couple of hours after the appointment, we were emailed a detailed (4 pages) document, recording all that transpired during the visit. To top it all off, everything was affordable and everyone was so very pleasant!

She took her in to see Dr. Callejo in the Springboro Office. I had taken my dog there in the past. She wanted $720 to do 5 ex-rays and NO blood work. After agreeing to blood work, she said what she was doing would not show signs of cancer at rate of $420. She said her annual office visit is $420 with blood work. The tech suggested on doing 2 ex-rays so it would be less expensive. Dr. Callejo refused saying she wanted 5 ex-rays. It then became quite obvious that Dr. Callejo was strictly out for money. When I was going there, the vet cared about the animal and was much more compassionate and willing to work with you. When your pet is sick you want someone that cares about the animal not just the money. She could have done 1 or 2 ex-rays not 5 and then determined what else was needed. I will never recommend them again. What a sad experience.

Burris and dr. grant are the main people I've worked with here, and i love them. weve brought three dogs and a rabbit to them over the years. when we had to bring our bichon in to be euthanized, they were very compassionate and I took notice of the measures they took to make the experience as comfortable as possible. they are extremely rabbit savvy! both dr. grant and dr. burris owned rabbits in the past, and have cared for several rabbits over the years. they have been fantastic in making sure I always have access to the meds my pets need, and have always been easily reachable for questions. most importantly, they are not judgy and have never made me feel bad about long nails, or my buns fur that mats so easily. I've had poor experiences at different vets in the area, but I can always count on evergreen for compassionate help.

As soon as I told her my dog was 13yrs old, she told me it was NOT chocolate toxicity & after an ultrasound she told me that my dog had a very large tumor & only had days to live. She gave me expensive prescriptions to "keep my dog comfortable," which made my dog so out of it that you'd believe she might be dying. What my dog needed was IV fluids to dilute the theobromine & caffeine which are the poisons to dogs in the chocolate, & IV fluids make it easier on the dog as it works its way through their system. My dog was experiencing every single symptom of chocolate toxicity, including internal swelling & bleeding, which can appear as a large tumor on the liver in an ultrasound! This vet never mentioned chocolate toxicity after I told her initially this is what was happening & she told me it was NOT! Leaving no possibility that this could be anything other than liver cancer because my dog was 13yrs old. This visit cost me $345! And my dog did not even receive proper treatment for the entire reason in which I had taken her. She could have died from chocolate toxicity due to no treatment!! But she did not! Because when she woke up the next morning she was doing much better so I stopped the meds which made her seem so sick & unresponsive. She improved from there & a visit to her regular vet confirmed she was suffering from extreme chocolate toxicity & was very fortunate to have survived without any treatment despite the expensive visit to the emergency vet office, Care Center & seeing Dr Emma Lasley! She does not have a tumor on her liver, that was just swelling from the toxicity & Dr Lasley should have known this was a possibility, but she stereotyped my baby as an old dog who certainly must be dying in her eyes! Thank God I made the decisions I made by stopping the meds so that I could tell that my dog was back to normal, & taking her to an intelligent, PROFESSIONAL vet who ran the proper tests & considered her symptoms could possibly be from chocolate toxicity after ingesting possibly more than a half pound instead of giving a 100% diagnosis of a terminal tumor simply because of her age. If I had listened to Dr Lasley, my dog would've been on these debilitating meds the rest of her life because I could not afford chemo or surgery, which certainly could've shortened her life as one of them affected the brain. Which she told me to discuss surgery with my family if my dog actually did not pass in the next few days. She traumatized me for no reason & completely disregarded not only the chocolate toxicity but the fact that there could be anything else at all that could be the cause of her symptoms. And she was dead wrong! Please DO NOT take your pet to this emergency veterinary clinic because unless you have a lot of medical knowledge yourself, your animal could be misdiagnosed, untreated for what is really wrong, & possibly lose their life because of this! With all my heart I wish I'd held out until morning when my regular vet opened so that I wasn't forced to throw away $345 & get zero relief or treatment for my dog. I'm considering suing them for my money back & what they put my dog & myself through. I took my dog in as an emergency because her chocolate toxicity symptoms were severe & she was even convulsing on & off as well as shaking uncontrollably. I was afraid she was dying from this toxicity but thank God she wasn't because this vet did absolutely NOTHING for her chocolate toxicity because she misdiagnosed her & refused to listen to reason & consider that the toxicity was responsible. Had she died I would have already retained an attorney. But right now I am concerned for all the other innocent animals who might find themselves in need of emergency medical services. They will NOT receive proper treatment from this veterinarian at this facility! PLEASE do your research & take them to a much more professional clinic with vets who won't stereotype & actually consider all circumstances before diagnosing & who will give your animal proper treatment!

I boarded him over Thanksgiving weekend, and while the ladies working there were very sweet, there was a huge miscommunication on their part. I left his food with a clearly labeled 1/3 cup scoop, and he eats 1.5 cups per day, yet they assumed the 1/3 scoop was a full cup and severely underfed him. He clawed at the metal gate so much that his paws started bleeding, and no one told me until I called them myself and even then, they barely answered the phone. I had to call multiple times just to reach someone. Since they don't let owners see the boarding area, I had no idea he was in a setup that stressed him out, and I wish someone had recommended upgrading him to a suite with a glass door. When I picked him up, he was noticeably skinnier, had dried blood on his paws and even had poop on his back paws. I feel incredibly guilty, like he thought I abandoned him and let him starve, and I will not be boarding him here again.

However, they have lost my business and the business of my friends/family after my most recent interaction. My cat has a condition that causes crystals in his bladder to form if he doesn't eat a special diet. This food is considered a prescription and needs to be refilled my the vet each time I order it. I received a phone call saying they could not refill the prescription because they hadn't seen my cat in over a year. They tell me this last minute, when my cat could quite literally die if he doesn't eat this food which I'm trying to order because it is almost out. I have recently moved cities and didn't think to find a vet yet. So after refusing to make an exception even though it was their failure to inform me I needed to make appointments yearly, I spent an hour on the phone frantically trying to find a vet with a last minute opening to prescribe the food. Horrible customer service that literally put my cats life at risk.
