I have had animals my whole life & have been to plenty of vet offices over the years & none of them have compared to RIverwalk. They are cost effective, try to do what's necessary, without adding a bunch of extra charges. THEY TRULY CARE & have the skill to help your fur babies. This year, my husband and I have lost two of our childhood dogs in a matter of four months. They were there through all the trials and tribulations and helped prolong their lives and kept them comfortable until it was time to say goodbye, they were there for that as well. Not only have they gone above and beyond for us and our pets care, they have personally checked on us during a vet visit to see how we're doing numerous times and said if we ever need a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on to reach out to them. They also have written us beautiful cards with heartfelt messages, not just signatures, sending condolences for our babies. We have experienced multiple doctors there, and every single one has the same level of care and integrity. We love you guys and are so grateful for your generosity, expertise, and care. Thank you!

The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly dedicated to providing quality care for their patients. The reason for this review is not the quality of care, but the clinic's prescription refill policy. When attempting to refill our cat's flea and tick medication through Chewy, the prescription request was declined because our cat had not had an annual wellness exam. When I contacted the office to understand the reasoning behind the requirement, I was told that the exam was necessary to maintain the veterinarian-client-patient relationship. However, I did not receive a clear explanation of how a routine wellness exam for a healthy, three-year-old cat would impact the decision to approve a medication he has been safely taking for the past three years. Veterinary regulations may require periodic examinations before prescriptions can be authorized, and if that is the case, I would have appreciated a straightforward explanation of that requirement. Instead, the responses I received felt generic and did not address the underlying question of why the exam was necessary in this specific situation. For many families, discretionary spending is carefully evaluated. Requiring an $83 wellness exam solely to authorize a refill of an established flea and tick preventative adds a meaningful expense without a clearly communicated benefit. While I understand the importance of routine preventive care, I believe clients deserve a transparent explanation of the medical or regulatory rationale behind policies that require additional visits and costs. My overall opinion of Riverwalk remains positive because of the quality of care they have provided over the years. However, this experience with prescription refill policies and the lack of a clear & logical explanation has been disappointing and has changed my perspective on an otherwise excellent practice. Instead of taking the time to work with them or discussing other options with me, they stopped the grooming altogether and sent my pet home without even completing the service. I understand that not every pet is easy to groom, and safety should always come first. However, I expected more patience, compassion, and professionalism from people who work with animals every day. Anxiety is common in pets, and how it's handled makes a huge difference. Unfortunately, I left feeling like my pet was given up on rather than cared for. I don't have anything negative, the staff I interacted with seemed friendly. I wasn't given a tour of the place which is new to me as most places have given me a tour so I snot know what goes on behind the scenes but if it's anything like the front maybe that's why. However what I can see from cameras it's not so bad. Overall I will bring again but I recommend doing something with the front. Curb appeal is a thing if you aren't aware.

She cared for Taj so genuinely like he was hers. She would always say how handsome he was and love on him. He was never scared there. Unfortunately he had kidney issues and I had to make the toughest decision ever. To let him go. He was suffering. I held him in my arms as he took his last breath. The staff was so consoloble. With five dogs -- all with very different personalities -- finding someone I completely trust with them is a big deal. What really sets Raquel apart is how incredible she is with dogs who need a little extra patience. Jette and Jay-J are rescues and were very fearful, and she took the time to earn their trust and make grooming a positive experience for them. Walter had actually been banned from other groomers because he was so difficult to groom, yet Raquel was able to work with him and groom him with no issues. That alone says so much about her patience, skill, and way with animals. They always look adorable when she's finished, and having her come to us makes everything so much easier and less stressful. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and understands that every dog is different. I'm so thankful we found Ooh La La Mobile Pet Spa.
