We had the car towed over (2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid), and they diagnosed the problem and repaired the issue quickly and at a fair price. Unfortunately, the tech made a small mistake and once we got the car home, there was more oil on the driveway and a check engine light. Ugh, again. So we called back to Scott to see what he wanted us to do. We understand that sometimes mistakes are made and issues arise. How a business owner handles those issues are the difference between good businesses and great ones. This is a great one. Scott was MUCH more upset than we were! He got us back in same day and fixed the issue at no charge! (We should have paid for a necessary part, but he would not charge us.) With everything so expensive these days, and everyone trying to stretch a buck, it's hard to know if you're leaving your car with someone who cares about it as much as you do. Scott does. We were able to get through the summer (surprisingly). We thought we were close to affording the repairs so we began our search. Everyone wanted to charge anywhere between $75 - $200 just to look at it. Some wrapped that fee into the service and others didn't (won't point any fingers). Rustic Wrench said no strings attached, let us look at it and give you a quote. Sometimes it's a trick to get you in the door, but I got there, they looked, gave me a quote, gave me super reasonable payment options for paying, and let me decide. I left with a quote and a full breakdown of the work that needed to be done. They did not ask for a dime, they didn't shoot ninety-nine sales people at me, they didn't ask me why i didn't do it then and there. They just let me go about my day. I went home and talked it over with the wife. We had our baseline and now how to pay for this. So we put it out there. Everyone was charging about the same price, but also wanted to charge me to look it over again. I am not super confident in what these mechanics should be charging but if this one is looking at for free and giving an honest competitive fee for the work... you get it. It was a huge relief when they honored the warranty (11 months after the original service) for a complete A/C system replacement on my wife's car. There was no hassle or argument from them or even an attempt to accuse her of being negligent. They looked at the problem and then fixed it with no additional money out of our pocket. On one occasion the horn on the car went haywire and was randomly honking at other cars. (Just like in the Brian Reagan routine. Very embarrassing.)
