This type of place is why I Iove Yelp. Both in how it helps us and deserving businesses. My girlfriend had an issue with her radiator and due to my compulsive and obsessive desire to "score the best deal" as well as infinite patience, I called up all the recommended repair shops on Yelp as well as those near her location.
I came across IMC Auto, also or formerly called Camelback Auto Body and Repair by accidentally googling "Camelback auto shop" and not "Camelback garage" featured here which I wanted to contact.
IMC stands for the 3 owners, Israel, Maria and Christian. I was fortunate to deal with Israel, who is a no non sense, kind man. He made sure to show us what the real issue was and when I called and explained the issue his quote at first surprised me because I thought there was a "catch". We paid $180 for radiator repair. I know very little about cars and he showed us how we only needed to remove and repair a certain piece and not the whole piece like other garages had.
I have been to other great places like Marshall's and Airpark Auto Service and called a lot of the places with great reviews (180 degrees automotive,Gene's Autoworx) but they all quoted me $350 to $400.
If you don't mind a shop that really looks and feels like one, a tad basic, definitely without flat screen TVs, play areas, etc and want great honest service I highly recommend this shop. Not only did they offer the best price for the repair, which doesn't always guarantee the best service I'll admit, but Israel took his time to show us what exactly was going to be repaired. All you can ask for from an autoshop. read more
