My friends love color, and the designers worked with them to take out a couple of walls, merge the dining area, and turn a closed L-shaped kitchen into an open festive space with yards of counter space, walls of cabinets, and easy seating for twelve! Did my friends love working with Seriously Happy Homes? Totally! Do they love the result? Absolutely!

She is patient and kind as she walks you through the design process and answers your (inevitable) many questions each step of the way. We worked with her to redesign three spaces in our home: our kitchen, and two bathrooms. With each space, she found ways to approach them in new and practical ways when we felt otherwise overwhelmed. She guided us through choosing stunning finishes, and we received so many compliments from contractors and friends alike along the way. We had never done a remodel - and now, being on the other end of the process, we don't know where we would have been had we not had her detailed designs to guide us all along the way. Whenever questions arose, it was invaluable to have something so concrete to refer to, and we can't recommend this approach enough for anyone considering a remodel.

They provided guidance, creativity, and follow-up every step of the way. Their computer-generated kitchen plans and visual images were very helpful in assuring us that the design they described is what we wanted and in the price range we were looking for. Adrian was our assigned on-site contractor. He was phenomenal to work with. His knowledge, skill, reliability, and "easy-to-work-with" personality made the process from demo to project signoff a smooth and stress-free experience. Adrian and Vered never let any unforeseen or unexpected situation alter or delay project progress. They worked together to offer solutions and resolution in a timely manner. Adrian and one or two other helpers did most of the work themselves, so we were never waiting on subcontractors. The project started on time and finished on schedule. We could not have been more pleased with the results. We are very happy to have selected Lux Design Builds and highly recommend them for your upcoming remodel.

The remodel replaced the floor with vinyl tile, replaced the tub surround tiles with vinyl sheets and replaced the vanity, counter mirror, tub, lights and all fixtures. The installer did a great job, was very courteous and did the job with minimal disruption.

In order to…read moreachieve the kitchen of our dreams (along with all of the additional changes we added on to the project!) we basically had to gut parts of two floors of our house, three if you include the attic! We took this in stages because we still needed to reside in the house during construction. NWHPs worked smoothly with everyone involved (designer, engineer, building inspector etc), and introduced us to some incredible sub-contractors, plumbing and electrical being high on the list (full disclosure ~ I built spec-houses in the 90's). Patrick's eye to detail is unsurpassed. He can see an awry 1/64th of an inch from across a room. His advice is solid and sound. We ended up replacing, rather than trying to salvage, parts of the kitchen oak floor (not part of our contract with NWHP, but with our own flooring guy) at Patrick's urging. He was right! This was not a project to patch the floor. Patrick, obviously, is extremely busy and gave us the time we needed on our site, and the phone to make us feel confident both with our choices and how the job was proceeding. He is also very personable, fun and easy to get along with. NWHP's main finish carpenter and cabinet whisperer, Alex, is a pleasure to work with. I don't know if there's anything he can't do. When the (island) cabinet's arrived, without absolutely correct sized finish pieces (after supply chain delays and a custom color...), Alex made it work! He made sure our interior vacuum returns were rerouted (something I stressed about) before walls were closed up, did amazing custom cabinet work in order for our (reused) cooktop and (new) oven to cohabitate, coached me on how I could help forward the project using materials we had on sight, and is also kind, respectful, and a delightful human. There are so many more things to applaud about NWHPs, Patrick, an

First off, I put several calls to interior designers and hardly anybody called me back but Brilliant Staging did and promptly set up an in home consultation. I realize my project was small but they made me feel just as important as their big budget clients! They were extremely professional throughout. They actually walked through all of my home and gave lots of suggestions for simple decorating improvements that I could do by switching out & repurposing my existing decor. Nice bonus! Tanya & Kasey really listened to what "my vision" was for the DR & BR and then explained what part of it would work & what needed a professional's eye for design to put it all together. I gave them design challenges such as furniture or decor that were non-negotiable and would need to be incorporated into the new design plan. I flip-flopped a lot as well. They were not shaken and were patient. I wanted a modern, but approachable luxury that needed to coordinate with the rest of our home but had no idea where or how to start. That's where it turned into an HGTV dream! They did a design board!!!! Yeah! They put everything onto a design board so I could see the different colors, textures, furniture pieces, etc. to show how it could work. All the time requesting feedback as she built the design. They included where I could purchase items. They did not 'push' specific retailers & were not snobby about where I should shop. Brilliant Staging does excellent interior design! They offer a variety of packages to suit your needs and budget. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future as needed. Thank You Brilliant Staging!

However, our overall experience with them was unsatisfactory. Admittedly, our remodel was problematic and revealed challenges we hadn't anticipated. However, common oversights and miscalculations by H2D resulted in generated revenue for H2D and added expense and time to our remodel. At the beginning of the project, H2D called for a meeting so we could discuss key design aspects of a particular room. The plans that H2D created after that meeting failed to reflect the very specific design choices we had made. Additionally, H2D miscalculated a key structural measurement that cost us time and money with our contractors (and it was a mistake that we, with no architectural background, were able to clearly see). H2D also provided plans with handwritten notes that we and 2 contractors could not clearly read. We asked the architect to make the notes legible, which was our expectation from the onset. She made them legible, but charged us an additional $1,200 for the changes. After receiving the invoice and us questioning the charge, the architect stated that she "did not work for free." We asked her to consider reducing the charge by half. She agreed to a 16% reduction. The next invoice we were charged hourly every time a contractor called about our project. H2D managed to recuperate that 16% discount (and then some) by fielding our contractor's questions. Our last dealings with H2D were when we discovered they had provided the wrong plans to a contractor without key revisions. At this point, all parties involved decided it would be better to deal with our structural engineer and bypass H2D entirely. A relationship with an architect is a critical component to a remodel. We had hoped that our architect would take responsibility for poor work and provide helpful customer service (other significant examples lacking in these areas are not included in this review). The continual errors made by H2D, combined with navigating the architects' temperament, made for a sour experience that aggravated an already stressful experience of a home remodel.
