    Love this place!!!

You betcha I recommend this place. I can't believe I waited this long to come here. First of all, a tasting flight is $10 for 5 wines or $2 a taste. They serve a variety of wines and allow you to practically taste anything, order a glass or even pop open a bottle. They have great service and a great wine club that of course I joined! Check them out the next time you are in the area.

$5 wine tasting - 1$ per wine selection. There's a variety of wine to choose from and the kind lady who was serving us that day had a recommendation for each category (I.e. white, red, bubbly). Since they're considered a bar, they have a 21 & under area. Their membership is a great deal, we ended up leaving with 3 wines. I didn't notice that my daughter dropped one of her teething toys, luckily one of the staff members called us & we were able to retrieve it.

Beautiful local art on wall in store lounge area.

We loved the hostess who was very knowledgeable about the wine she served us and gave us a beautiful background on each wine that was served that day. We also were able to purchase a charcuterie board to enjoy with the tasting, the ambience was magnificent and the intimate atmosphere and experience made for a special outing while sightseeing on our vacation/honeymoon.

If you need some wine tastings in Cambria after 5 pm, note the other great tasting shops like Moonstone shut down. We just wanted some wine to go with some takeout food. At 7:30 pm. Note plenty of restaurants were open midweek in January. Fermentations has one nice older gal Cherie pouring in the evenings. She works hard. The wine selections just were not that great...in a region of great wines. But hey, tastings were just $1 each. We found something. Next time we will arrive in afternoon and go directly to Moonstone tasting room! Yet Fermentations is open till 8 and it did the job for us.

$5 for 5 tastings. The best deal I've ever seen in the market. The town is quite small and we decided to step in and do the tasting. They have quite a menu and let you select 5 for tasting. Something famous there is is the chocolate liquor. I tried it but I wasn't a fan. Our server was a lady and she was very sweet. Loved all the tastings and the stories behind the wine. Best deal in town, best deal in the the bay!

What a fun and friendly venue, offering lots of wine for tastings. I think it was $6 for 5 one ounce pours. Just enough t wine to try lots and not get too buzzed. If you like a wine, you can buy a glass. Also, bottle discounts on purchase of three bottles or more. I'd come back!

While doing some shopping, we came across Fermentations. A great stop for all your wine needs and wants. Tasting was only $5 for 5 wines and then some! Interesting moscatos (peach and pineapple) and some nice red blends like If You See Kay (Yep! Lol!) Our host was hilarious and made our visit especially enjoyable. Also tried some chocolate wine that tasted like chocolate milk. I had to use the spit bucket more than I care to because I was the driver and no Uber in this town, but our host told us not to worry because if I overdid it the local tow truck driver could give us a ride! I didn't really want to test out this ride service, but good to know. If you're in town, you'll definitely want to make this one of your stops.

The service was impeccable. The server really knew the menu... the ingredients, how the sauces are made, etc. Speaking of the menu there is a lot of love and creativity in the food... so many subtle details! After each dish we'd ask the server what exactly was in that dish, or how did they create that sauce. A fun dining experience for sure! The Arugula salad with strawberry, apple, walnuts, and goat cheese was a light and refreshing start to the meal. The Paso Robles Pork Belly came in date, apple, mustard sauce or broth that we were literally drinking with a spoon! So interesting! The Shrimp Risotto was really interesting as well! The shrimp were so perfectly cooked that is was notable right off the bat. The consistency of the risotto was very different in a great way, and the type mushrooms they use added anther layer of interesting texture as well. Crab Cakes were good... could have used a bit more crab meat, but the flavor was there and we liked how it's plated with a jumbo shrimp in the center and the grated mango was a yummy mini flavor bomb. The table next to us got the Polenta and that look incredible... definitely going to try that next time. Pricing at this restaurant was extremely reasonable for such an elevated dining experience... 4 dishes and a glass of wine wine for around a hundred bucks! We look forward to coming back!

Did I laugh out loud when I heard their out going phone message, yes, yes I did! We were two doors down staying at the Sand Pebbles Inn. On a Friday night we arrived about 5:30 p.m. No line. We brought a bottle of wine and sat near the fire pit and talked to a few folks while waiting for our table. They said come back at 7:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Predictably we powered though our one bottle of chardonnay. I took a stroll back to the hotel to grab another. By the time I got back my wife had already been seated. It was about 6:15 p.m. So much for the high demand and long wait. She got sat towards the back at a little two top table nowhere near the front with the ocean view. Meh. Okay let's do this. We put in an order of the Clams Casino to start, clam chowder, and we were going to split the large order of Cioppino. This is no knock on the restaurant but we were seated next to a couple that really liked each other. I mean a lot. Luckily my wife had her back to them. I tried not to watch but they were going at it pretty hard for being in a well lit crowded restaurant. Good for them? Ahh, to be 30 again. Sourdough bread was really sour. I don't think I've ever thought twice about bread being served at a restaurant until now. Clams Casino comes out and it's not looking so good. We know what this dish is and supposed to be. This was a bad version to say the least. There was little to no breadcrumbs. Just some clams on the half shell swimming in butter and garlic with a slice of bacon on top. A poor excuse for this dish. Only $27.50! I suggest they try Brophy Brothers Garlic Baked Clams. About a million times better and about $10.00 less. Then came the clam chowder. I've had clam chowder high and low and this was some of the worse I've ever had. First off it's kinda translucent and appears to be thickened with cornstarch or maybe xanthan gum. All I can tell you is it's gooey, not creamy, short on clams, and tastes of over powering black pepper. We also discovered an unexpected ingredient, spinach. This confused both of us to no end. So at this point my wife says she's had enough of this and tells the waitress to cancel the Cioppino, and bring us the check. She says back, it's too late for that. My wife isn't taking no for an answer and stands her ground. Where am I this whole time? I'm hiding behind my glass of wine wishing we were some where else. They brought the check without incident and we left. What a train wreck that was.

Seeing that there was a Patio and that everywhere I had been up to that point, including our hotel, had allowed dogs, I walked over with my tiny pup in his little carry bag. When we arrived, I saw that the patio was enclosed, so I realized I might have to take my pup back to the hotel, but then saw an open air spot with tables and chairs in the parking lot. I would have been willing to sit there and order, so my companion went to ask if that was possible, but was given a very quick and rude "we're not pet friendly", which I was an attitude I was already catching on to as I walked closer and saw unnecessarily large "no pets" signs. I was offended, not for the policy, but because I was already starting to see that was the case & it would have been so easy just to say it gently or nicely & acknowledge that our inquiry was no longer about coming into the restaurant or patio at all. That response made the difference between us taking the doggo back to the hotel room to return for dinner or writing a negative review apparently, because it felt condescending and no food experience is worth feeling unwelcome - especially when every place surrounding the area was completely pet friendly. They are located on a beach, but that day with not-so-relaxed vibes when a simple redirect would have been perfectly fine. I'm a pet person, and it's ok if that's not something you accommodate, I completely understand (especially, sadly, because some pet owners are not responsible, and their pets act like animals and not necessarily family members) - but there's no excuse for being rude when your entire job is service. You're in a beach spot where people come to relax with the people (or animal companions) they love most, no need to have an unfortunate attitude. :( Sorry restaurant/ chef/ other staff, I really would have liked to try the food. P.S. Dog-friendly places can happily have all my money, cheers to patio dining in (most of) California.
