Customer service was horrible , old guy with a beard apparently hates his job. I came in asking for help with pipes and fittings (I have no experience with copper pipes ) Started the conversation with " I have a project I need help with .. mentioned a well pump and before I could get to the pipes he cuts me off with we don't do well pumps. My all time favorite Fergsuon Supply store. No matter who is working the front sales desk to the crew in the sales office in the back, a really nice set of crew members to assist you. Just to warn you, there is a line for service about 50-75% of the time, but if you really need the part and your local big box warehouse doesnt have it, there is a good chance that El Cajon Ferguson has it or they can get it. My favorite time of year to come here is in the winter time, the parts in the warehouse chill over night and carry on through the day, worst time to visit here is in the summer time or any time the weather and thermometer crest 100F, this place gives a new meaning to; "It's hotter than Hades in here!" I recommend you give them a go, they will wheel a new water heater right out to your-car or assist you loading a toilet right to your bumper. 5 Star Crew all the way and day! read more

If I could give no stars I would, The manager of this store is hands down the most "unkind hearted" person I have met in a while. He started out nice to my mom and I as we got sent here from another store about a shower back. The manager got the shower back and brought it out, we checked it out and the back reinforcement was broken. The manager had said before we looked at it that there was another shower back we could look at, once we asked to look at the second one the manager snapped at us and told us he is "done being kind hearted" and we can't look at anything else. It's either that shower back or nothing. It made my mom and I SO uncomfortable. We took the shower back anyway because it's the 8th shower back we have tried to get and we are from Orange County (made the drive for this back). So the manger went inside to do whatever he needed to do and left my mom and I to load the back in our truck ourselves (which is fine but he didn't ask if we needed help) so two SUPER nice men asked us if we needed help while the manger stayed inside. Again this is the worst Ferguson experience my mom and I have had. 0/10 from us! read more

I stopped by Fergusson Water Works to pick up some tool on the fly; they had what I needed and were competitively priced. The counter staff were very helpful and friendly; I was in and out within 10 mins. Awesome. read more

I wish I could give the company as a whole a zero! I've been going here since I was a teenager I'm 35 years old I've been going here for roughly 20 years. I only go when I have to if I'm close to the store. The only person behind the counter that seems to have any sense is a guy named Mike, he's been there ever since I was a teenager. Everything takes excruciatingly long not just at this store but with Ferguson in general. Most all the employees I've ever met at any one of their locations take forever, have no regard for time, Act like their dad owns the company, might as well be government workers. Going to Ferguson is like going to the DMV maybe worse. I'm a licensed Plumber, I'd rather go to Home Depot, I hate Home Depot. read more

I've been running around all Saturday morning trying to find a fix for a leaking hose bibb. Because it was very old and I could not unscrew the whole unit, I was looking just for a replacement washer to make the old one work. The guys at Home Depot just shrugged their shoulders, and sent me to Ferguson. The staff here were real pros. They knew exactly what I needed, and because I only needed a single rubber washer gave it to me without any charge. This will definitely be my first stop next time I need a plumbing fix! read more

Had the pleasure of calling the HVAC parts department today looking for a compressor. I had the part number and the manufacturer name to be told by the gentlemen from Ferguson I was wrong. Told me the unit I was calling about was for an apartment. I told yes but its a condo not apartment and I had the correct information. He went on to still tell me I was wrong. It's funny I'm wrong when before I called the parts department I had already called the manufacturer to get all the correct information before calling the Distributor aka Ferguson. Well.. I was in a tough spot ! My tenant lady told me like Late Friday afternoon. Here's the rent, and By the way... we don't have any hot water ! - I'm like Crsp ! - On a Friday night I gotta deal w this ? So I couldn't find A PIEZO anywhere... I was pretty sure that's all It was - Cuz it Didn't even work well When I first put it in the heater New...) So it seems that I kept hearing... "Piezo's rarely go bad", Burt I wasn't getting a click or a zap... and Nobody's got em, NOT EVEN FERGUSONS's ! --And the Place is Huge! -- :o ( what's up w dat ?) Anyway after hearing my sad story about little kids going to bed without baths etc. -- Washcloths for the adults... .. CHRIS ( the tall guy w the beard behind the counter ) took me all the way out back to the old dropped off Water heaters are and snagged one for me. Free of charge.. What a Nice guy ! -And it actually worked. The Cheapo Landlord actually Figured it out ! ;) I was so desperate I was thinking I'd need to swipe one from a Backyard grill somewhere :P Thank You Chris!
