I moved from New Westminster to Langely and as a single female, was worried about the furniture and the fact that most of my boxes had stuff that was in some way or another a bit delicate. Not only was everything moved in 2 hours but since unpacking, I have noticed that there have been absolutely no casualties in the move - which is what can happen when I try to move on my own or with friends. Communication was primarily over the phone, with email confirmation a couple days prior. The move itself was absolutely painless. Not only are they incredibly affordable, especially after doing my due diligence and getting quotes across the city, but they are also professional and polite. Highly recommended.

Moved across country a year ago. Looked at quite a few different options but they all ended up…read morebeing either overly complicated or seemed sketchy. Called Ferguson initially mostly because the reviews seemed decent. Our initial inquiry was responded to promptly and an estimator visited our house a few days later to give us a quote. It was the visit from the estimator that clinched it for us. Juville was so professional and thorough. Asked about things we hadn't even thought of. Made some excellent suggestions. My initial reaction to the quoted price was that it was higher than expected, but considering what the sketchy / overly complicated options were coming in at, it wasn't actually that much more. And Juville clearly knew what she was doing, which was extremely reassuring. We really appreciated that she came to our house, prepared a detailed written estimate on the spot, and left us to think about it, without any pressure. We called her back, booked the move and paid our deposit. On moving day we had the worst possible rain (and that's saying something in Vancouver). The movers were organized and professional, and the rain didn't slow them down at all. When the truck was weighed it was very close to what Juville had estimated on our written quote. Our goods arrived safely at the other end. No damage, nothing missing. For the quoted price, no surprises. I would definitely recommend Ferguson and would use them again.

The highlights: Brent was organized and extremely helpful when I called to book; rates and expectations were clearly set out; the move confirmation email arrived quickly; for both moves I got an ETA call from the movers when they were on their way; the movers (Cody both times, and a different crew with him each time but to a man personable, respectful, well-prepared, and professional) were careful and efficient moving our belongings; the bill was exactly as expected; during our first move with Papa's we got both a friendly guide to our new neighbourhood and help re-assembling a lot of finicky furniture (that was a great introduction to Vancouver!). I highly recommend Papa's Moving. The rates are very reasonable and the service is excellent. It also feels good to support a family company of nice, helpful people that seem to genuinely care about making your move as quick and easy as possible. On my most recent move the guys even gave me a frozen water bottle- it might not sound like much, but I felt like they were looking after my things and me during the move. That feeling is priceless during stressful moving times.

[Quick and Easy]…read more Moving isn't something I do often - at least not for myself. When I was younger, I'd conscript a few friends and stuff a car beyond it's reasonable limits to save a few bucks. Ever cram a queen sized mattress into an Accord? I have. Anyways, time was of the essence for me to move out of my 2-bedroom apartment so I contacted these guys based on the Yelp reviews. Manel replied promptly and after I made my $100 deposit, we were off to the races. Moving day came and the two movers showed up with a massive truck. I'm guessing it was a 5 ton but I'm no expert but could've easily fit 3 times the contents of my condo. I guess they've probably helped a few hoarders with a move. The two guys (Jesse and I don't remember the other's name) ran 15 minutes late but called ahead to let me know. Once they got to work however, they were unstoppable. In just over an hour, they had my entire apartment in the back of the truck. (I also had packed and moved some of the smaller items already) Unloading at my new destination took a little longer due to a narrow entryway but they still navigated it like rockstars - and without any scratches. In total, the move took 4 hours. Their rate including the truck was $100/hr plus $100 delivery fee plus tax. I figure that's decent value. If I had to rent a truck and coerce some friends, it'd have taken me 3 times longer and I'd probably have to buy them dinner.
