We ordered from Feng's during the Badger game this past weekend because we figured Chinese food is a little less popular than pizza or wings for basketball games and I was HUNGRY. When my meal was finished, I felt satisfied and happy for several reasons: 1. It only took 15 minutes for our entire order. 2. Their online system is a cinch, and you actually get a discount for using it! 3. They offer brown rice for an extra 50 cents. I LOVE brown rice and think it should be an option at every takeout restaurant. Other things to note included the szechuan-style bean curd that my boyfriend's mom ordered, because it had fantastic flavor. Highly recommend that. I am trying to eat healthy for an upcoming race, and was very pleased with their "healthy" section on the menu. I ordered the chicken and broccoli w/brown rice and it was scrumptious! Vegetables were steamed to perfection, with some crunch still left. I despise soggy veggies (who doesn't?) so this was a huge plus. I would say that Feng's falls somewhere on the middle. I have had better but I have had worse, but it is cheap so that always is a positive. Plus they always have $2, $3 or $5 off coupons. The delivery was quick the few times I have utilized their delivery service. Once I put in an order in the afternoon to have ready at 7, when I was getting back to Waukesha. I received a phone call about an hour and a half after placing my online order, saying that my food had been sitting there for an hour and if I was coming to get it. After saying that I had put in the order to be made for 7 pm, they apologized and remade the order to be ready for when I originally said. I recently moved to the Pewaukee area and have been looking for a good Chinese takeout place to replace my old favorite. I placed an online order for delivery for a sweet & sour chicken and a seafood delight. Feng's online ordering process was very easy and effortless. When I placed my order online it showed that estimated delivery time was 40-50 minutes. Not long after the order was placed I received a phone call stating that delivery time would be closer to an hour, hour 20 minutes because they were very busy or I could pick up. I opted to wait for delivery figuring I could get some chores done around the house and I had a late lunch so a little extra time wasn't going to hurt. 2 hours after placing my order I was still waiting for my food...I called the restaurant and the person I spoke to couldn't locate my order for several minutes. Afterwards I could hear the person on the telephone speaking to someone in the background and when the person came back to the phone I was told that my food would have to be remade since it would be cold by the time it was delivered. The person I spoke to didn't even apologize for what happened!!!! I was so un-happy and hungry at that point I said thanks and hung up. The food arrived 20 minutes after I had called...it took 2 1/2 hours to arrive from the time that I had ordered. While the food was delicious the whole experience of waiting 2 1/2 hours for food with no explanation and no apology irritated me to no end and I will never, ever order Chinese takeout from this establishment. read more

My colleague and I visited for lunch. They're set up more for takeout than for eating in, although we were lucky enough to find a table. They have a nice variety of Thai and Chinese. I had the shrimp with lobster sauce along with an egg roll and wonton soup. My colleague had the noodle soup---- a huge bowl. Food was very tasty as there were at least 6-8 large shrimp. read more

Food is expensive, the portions are small on many entrees, and it always takes a long time to deliver (1-2 hours and never less than an hour). However, I'd say the quality of what we have ordered has always been consistent. Love the chicken dumplings and the Chinese donuts! read more

Terrible service and their food is not even that good. We have ordered delivery in the past a few times because it's convenient but it has always taken about an hour. At 5:15 tonight we ordered dinner online for delivery. No time-frame was given. At 6:30 I called to see where our order was. They just said "it's on the way." They made no attempt whatsoever to give an explanation or apologize. At 6:55 I called to cancel my order. I told them to call their driver and cancel our order. No way am I paying for food that has been sitting in this guy's car for 25 minutes. Again, no apology or anything. At 7:00 the driver shows up to our house. My husband sent him away. Fed my kids a peanut butter sandwich so I could put them to bed. AN HOUR AND 45 MINUTES for Chinese food is unacceptable. We live 3 miles from the restaurant. Never again! read more

My family and I have eaten here so many times in the last 10 years and it's seems like the last three or four, it just gets worse and worse. The chicken fried rice is bland with gigantic chunks of onion. The fortune cookies are stale, I splurged anyway and ate four of them. Three out of the four cookies had fortunes that didn't make sense due to typos( I'm not sure if that's directly the restaurant or the company they purchase them from). Placed a large order online on a Sunday night at 8:30 (during business hours) and they never delivered the order. When I tried to call and inquire about my delivery that night, no one answered the phone. Don't accept online orders if your not going to follow through or at least call. While I appreciate that Fengs does not use MSG, I have been sorely disappointed in the quality of the food the last two times we ate their food. The fried rice lacked flavor and was essentially rice with a few slices of chicken and some onions. he he only way to make it palatable was to season it myself. The cashew chicken was full of peanuts! My son has an airborne allergy to peanuts and this could have caused a medical emergency. There were more peanuts than cashews. I guess it is because peanuts cost less than cashews, but I ordered cashew chicken, not peanut chicken. The best part of the meal was the fortune cookie. Great Lunch menu! Very fast and usually delicious, but might want to order sweet and sour chicken only during lunch hours as by dinner tastes not right and we ordered on 5 separate occasions off dinner menu and tasted funny every time (like left out or spoiled chicken). The parking lot was almost empty yet everyone inside was working fiercely at the stoves and woks. Two people were almost constantly on the telephone taking orders. Point being, they move a lot of food so it is always fresh. Sometimes we eat in at the few tables they have and sometimes we take out. We had a very horrible experience with them, when I food was delivered the sesame chicken was hard as a rock and it smelled a little funny. Also the beef lo mein smelled a little off and the meat was dry and nasty. We also ordered crab rangoons and those were cold almost like they were in the fridge. We called them immediately and they told us that they would take care of us and we could call and get the stuff replaced. When we called two days later to get the stuff replaced no one knew what was going on nothing was written down and then they finally said it that our order would be here in 30 minutes. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes we called and had to speak to three more people and then the last thing that was said to us as the gentleman with a very strong accent said you don't like it you don't have to order here. And he told us that he didn't care if we didn't order from there anymore. Every time I order there I spend at least $70 and we would order a few times in one month and they're always nice to us we never had a problem but apparently if you have a problem they don't know how to handle it and then you become the jerk when all you want is what you paid for. And we didn't even ask for the order to be replaced we only asked for three things three items to be replaced from a 6 item order. read more

Fengs Kitchen gets us hot, tasty, made to order food, and super quick, too! Usually ready to pick up in 10 minutes. Our favorites: the Sesame chicken, house special egg foo young, pineapple duck, beef mei fun, fried dumplings, crab Rangoon,and for when we want spicy it's General Tsos chicken and the Chinese eggplant with garlic sauce! We've been going there for years, I don't think you could go wrong with any of their menu items. Maybe a little pricey but the portions are large and worth it--Yummm! read more

After my second time eating at this establishment I felt that I was able to write an accurate review. The food is just okay. Both times I have ordered the food had been okay (with exception to the wanton soup- that is just terrible) but the delivery has been horrible. The forts time I scheduled a delivery and they showed up 30 minutes before I wanted, frustrating but I can deal with it. The second time they were 90 minutes past when they "scheduled" delivery. I love this place. I haven't found sweet and sour chicken or crab rangoons that compare to it. The service is the my absolute favorite though, whenever I order delivery it always surprises me how fast it arrives. One of the times I ordered from here they left out part of the meal which I didn't really mind, not even five minutes after the delivery driver left another one showed up with the missing part. They didn't wait to see if I called, they immediately fixed it. So not only is the food five stars but the service is more than that. read more

I'm Not sure what kind of sauce they use to cook their food but it was not flavorful. I did enjoy the wontons though. First off, one must temper their choices when in the Milwaukee area. This is not Seattle or San Francisco. Having said that, I love Feng's kitchen. It is reasonably priced, the food is prepared quickly, the service is typically good. I like their Egg Foo Yung and Kung Pao, and their egg rolls are good too. Can't go wrong here. When we got our delivery food the fried rice didn't look as appetizing as it should. There was no seasoning at all and the meat was steamed instead of fried. The egg rolls were not the best either. One of the best "fast" Chinese restaurants around. The kung pao beef or chicken is excellent. Loaded with fresh vegetables & delicious sauce. The Mongolian beef is great and so is the moo shu pork. The food is fast and the lunch special comes with soup. I have met my dad here at least a dozen times and it is GREAT! It is hard to find good Chinese food and this place is it. I just hope they don't get too busy and let their standards slip. Because its great. It is also close to GE Med in Waukesha. If only they had one on the North Shore of Milwaukee! read more

Great crab Rangoon! I've ordered several times, even in a snowstorm and they always are great. One order was missing an egg roll ... when I called they took my name and I was able to stop in or order any time and they'd add it in. I stopped in to pick it up and ordered more crab Rangoon!
