We fell in LOVE with this place! We ate here twice while staying at the Bavarian Inn and had a great experience both times. The staff are absolutely lovely - so friendly and personable, and truly seem happy to help and serve! The decor is adorable and so unique - cozy fireplaces, outdoor patio seating, big beautiful windows to let natural light in. The food was amazing. The breakfast banana split, the breakfast sandwiches, yogurt bowls and the strawberry croissant were all so delicious! And the coffee was on point - beautifully crafted and delicious. They even offer free strawberry infused water and free apples, not to mention the giant chess game you can play inside. All around a 10/10! We will most certainly be back! read more

What a cute little spot! Order at the front and pick your table. I had a croissant breakfast sandwich and my partner had a brioche and we both enjoyed them. Hot cinnamon latte and chai were also good. People are friendly here and puppies are welcome inside :) read more

A place to find food when there's not much available in the area. We were optimistic about this restaurant as it had a beautiful outdoor seating area, unfortunately 45° temperatures in cold rain prevent prevented that from happening. We were pleasantly greeted at the kiosk. You order food as there is no table service here. Food is somewhat limited, but service was fast. The restaurant was rather cold inside and many people were sitting fully cloaked and hooded/hats on to stay warm as the front door was wide open. We asked the manager if it was possible to close the door as the temperature inside was so cold and reading the room you could see we were not the only ones that felt this way! Without explanation, we were told no and that's how it had to be. We noticed on the way out that the thermostat was set at 54°! Brrrrr So, we did not stay very long. We ate our less than adequate food with plastic cutlery and left. Probably not a spot I would go out of my way again to visit and would check out other opportunities in the area. read more

Place is a gem. Clean, fast service and friendly staff. Only open from 6:30 to 11 am. Wifey ordered crustless quiche which ended up being a modest sized serving containing cheese and veggies. I'd call it petite. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage and a blue berry muffin. Both were average in size. We sad outside on one on their decks, which was delightful, and sipped coffee until mid morning. Place was very convenient being a short walk from the Bavarian Inn. Prices were ok, certainly not a deal given what was brought to the table. Would need to try a few different menu options before making a strong recommendation. Worthy of checking out. read more

Cute atmosphere, different seating areas including outside patio, good food selection. I had the black hills breakfast wrap with bacon and really enjoyed it. The fruit cup was very small for the price. The coffees were tasty with cute cups. The waffle bites looked and smelled delicious. They were out of the cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting that we planned to try, so I'm guessing those are very good too. read more

Decent food but no better than microwaveable selection at a convenience store. Inflated prices and the auto-checkout hides any option for zero tip. There is NO service, you order your food at a kiosk or the counter and they call your name when it has been re-heated and put on a tray. Pets and small children make the place a walking hazard on the way to your table (which hasn't been wiped today) On the plus side, the coffee's not bad. Sadly too many of these places think they can go on forever on tourist dollars. Good luck. This local knows better. read more

Such a great place and super friendly staff. The food and drinks were great but what really puts this place at 5 stars is the people. They came and sang to my daughter for her birthday and her celebration pancake nachos. Little touches throughout make this place special like the candle being self-relighting, their logo branded onto the burrito and always smiling. There is nothing good about this dumpster fire of a "cafe". This place is a vending machine, the food they serve is premade microwave trash. $70 with tip for the crappiest microwaved food for 3. Total waste, I am not even sure what the tip is for, you order at a self serve kiosk, they yell your name when the microwave is done so you go get your own food, and when you are done eating on outdoor patio furniture that is inside using the crappy plastic fork and knife provided you get to bus your own table. This place is garbage.....Like tears in the rain....what a waste. read more

Excellent coffee and breakfast joint! They have a great selection of breakfast options including gluten free items, overnight oats, sweet pastries and delicious breakfast croissant sandwiches. The customer service is friendly and welcoming, going so far as to offer to remove cheese from the breakfast sandwiches if requested and fill reusable coffee tumblers so we can have our coffee hot all day. Everything is made fresh! They are dog friendly and have a great patio to enjoy. Plenty of indoor seating too. Definitely will return on our next trip thru Custer. read more

A little bit out of town, but that made it much less crowded and more enjoyable. A nice outside deck and lots of indoor space, including a giant chess board!
