FedEx is very frustrating to deal with. And I used FedEx for shipping, thinking they ae reliable. So my Amazon Seller sends me an expensive electric scooter via FedEx. Guess what? FedEx delivers the package. It was meant for me, and I went to get it within 15 minutes of Amazon telling me the package is delivered, because they received a signature for delivery. And then I see that the package is not there. Someone else signed for it, and FedEx just gave it to this someone, without checking their ID. I made a compliant on my FedEx account, saying that my package was not there, even when it says delivered. So FedEx opens an investigation on the tracking number. And 2-3 days later, the case is closed. No package found, no resolution, no contact with me, simply that the case is closed. Tracking number: 882921837769 That is FedEx for you. They lose my package. Do NOT use fedex to send packages. They have a policy now that says they will not use gate codes to deliver packages and also won't call the persons phone. The delivery drivers are not allowed to. Functionally this means they are not able to deliver to many houses and most apartment complexes in any major city in the United States. The delivery trucks are just for show now, I guess. read more

When I called, several times this week for the whereabouts of this package, I was given the run around. I almost never leave reviews, but I felt compelled to for this center. An associate (an older lady with glasses) was extremely rude to me after I felt like I was being completely reasonable. I can't speak on behalf of all of the workers there, but this one instance was very disappointing. She spoke to me in a very demeaning tone and took a phone call with her friend in the middle of "helping" me print my shipping label. On her call, she was cheerful to be talking with her friend, which confused me, as I figured maybe she was just having a bad day. Ultimately, my package is out for delivery, but the customer service was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a FedEx. I'm just going to make this a bullet point because they are so incompetent it would take too long to write in paragraph form. * I was home for all missed deliveries and doorbell was never rang. * I was then left a voice mail to pick up the package by 730pm Friday 5/16/2025 * I took PTO to get off early from my healthcare position to make it there by 530pm 5/16/2025. * When I arrived, I was told they decided to send back my packages @11am. * When I asked why they made that mistake, Jose Baka(look up what that means in Japanese) the unhelpful front desk attendant Said, "You should have come when we left you the voicemail, not when we told you we had to come by." *Jose both tried to blame me for their mistake and admitted to their incompetence. * Jose was nice enough to give me an 800 number that he stated, "could help me." I've called 1-800-GOFEDEX since Monday Dec 23rd for an overnight shipping and it's been sitting at this FEDEX Courier since MONDAY and is noted to get dropped off in FiDi no later then Xmas eve. I've reached out to FEDEX 7 times this week, to only be told this location won't pick up their phone. It's so ridiculous. Do your job and be accountable for your responsibilities. I dislike leaving bad reviews but man.. this is the most ridiculous experience ever. There needs to be an option where receivers can. One in show our ID and pick up our package even if we would have to drive across town. To tell me I have to wait until my package is scanned and processed and it's been days late. 49 years in logistics and it doesn't get any worse than Fedex. Most companies (no matter the size) use a TMS (Traffic Management System) that allows real time tracking, but apparently Fedex is too cheap to upgrade their system. I expect they are still on a DOS 3.0 system using a Commodore 64. I've never had a delivery on time. I ask all of my vendors (if I know they're using Fedex) to use an alternative carrier if possible. It's not this specific office, it's the entire system (or lack thereof). An old roommate used to work for them (total idiot!) and he would field complaints all day long, based on lost/delayed/damaged packages. Fedex is more about contract sales (price) with no interest in service. read more

Here we are again. One year later and the driver is a f-ing liar! Yesterday, the driver claimed (lied) to have attempted to deliver my dog's medication at 5:31. I was home making dinner. There was NO attempt made. Fast forward to today when you'd THINK that a re-attempt would be made, the website shows nothing. On top of that, another package from a different company was to be delivered today. The driver PNCE AGAIN lied and said the "business was closed". Well, ya know what? I'm not a business & I wasn't closed at 9:30 this morning. I was at home eating breakfast!! So after calling the 800 number & speaking to a rep, she tells me that this is very common in the San Francisco area, but she's unsure why. She tells me that my dog's medication which was supposed to be delivered yesterday, will now be delivered tomorrow. Not today, even though it's the next business day. In addition, the package the driver lied about attempting to deliver this morning may or may not be reattempted today. She entered a "re-attempt case". This company is hands down the worst company I have ever had the displeasure to unfortunately have to do business with in my lifetime. They have destroyed almost every valuable package that has been sent to me through their horrible shipping network. Just today they broke a $700 item by handling it completely upside down even though there were 10, yes 10, "fragile, this side up" stickers on the box. Delivery drivers are completely careless with packages. I've seen them throw them into our lobby. They also forge customer signatures. The $700 item they broke just today was "direct signature required" for delivery to me. No one rang my bell and no one in my home signed for it. And yet, there it was, in our lobby, damaged beyond recognition. The manifest on fedex delivery manager says it was signed for by some random letters "JJUH." They just make stuff up so that they don't have to redeliver another day. When they're not maliciously breaking items, they will frequently mark a delivery that they should have made that day (item on truck for delivery) as "delayed or customer not at home" when they can't deliver all the packages on their route that day. I'll close with this: A lot of these terrible behaviors aren't the drivers' fault in full. Fedex is an absolutely ruthless company from top to bottom that squeezes their non-union contract delivery drivers mercilessly; this creates the conditions where drivers have to cut corners to make their quotas. Do everything in your power to avoid doing business with these people. read more

WTF!!!! This is the worst FedEx location EVER!!! They lost my package, and the staff LIES and doesn't follow instructions. I sent a package to my friend's house in SF with $500 worth of content and the content is one of a kind and irreplaceable. The day before it's suppose to be delivered, I find out from my friend that they are going on vacation for 2 weeks, and will not be there to receive the package. So I called FedEx and was told they can do vacation hold and it will be very easy. The following day, I find out from tracking that the SF office, this location delivered the package anyways, and completely ignored my vacation hold request. Oh and NEVER called me to tell me! WTF? So I then called again and had to request for them to go back and pick up the package and send it back to me so it doesn't get lost. Guess what? after 2 days it was not picked up. Finally on the 3rd day, they picked it up and I had them send it back to me. Well, they got the return address wrong, and a week later delivered to my neighbor's house which we are unable to retrieve. #fedex is trying to tell me they won't issue a refund on a package I paid $119.00 to have delivered overnight, with a "money back guarantee." They didn't deliver on time, the receiver left without the important information he needed, and then Fed Ex tried to claim it was a "weather delay." The weather in Memphis, Tennessee that day was fair, with .02 inches of rain. The weather was about the same in New Orleans. I escalated it to a manager, who finally said they would issue the refund, only they can't, because the 15 days are up. I had to wait for the package to be returned, and set up an account, and generally do other things with my time, so now I have to write to their damned corporate headquarters and beg for a refund. My advice: ship with #UPS. I've spent at least an hour and a half dealing with their incompetence, which is another $262.50. read more

It is great to be employed by the city and county of San Francisco. The job pays well enough. And I can do a lot of shopping online, if I have extra money. But there are also blemishes as well. I am not like many of you with an M-F & 9-5 office spot to get your mail and/or your package. My job requires me to go anywhere in the city where as needed. But I do have one mailing office address when I do my online shopping. Unfortunately, I am not always there to receive mail or package. And sometimes, my colleagues are also not always there to accept my package. I cannot have them ship them to my home address, because I am never home during the day. "I am not staying home and watch the Jerry Springer show." Some things I do order do have extreme values; like my Golden State Warriors' tickets for next year. I have been a ticket-holder for 12 straight years. And every year I have to go to the same FedEx office to pick up my ticket package. It does seem like a "pain in the ass" and inconvenience, but I do not mind going there. But I know my tickets will be there safely when I get there. "Plus I can go Mariposa Cafeteria afterwards to eat my Roast Pork over rice for lunch." The workers do what they suppose to do, hold and hand my package upon my arrival. "Just get my shit and leave!" I had a package shipping from New York City using FedEx standard overnight delivery. The promised delivery time was before 8:00pm. It arrived at San Francisco FedEx facility at 12:25pm and of course the package was not delivered by 8:00pm. I remember many years ago when FedEx service quality was much better. Now FedEx is clearly at the bottom, based on this and numerous previous shipping snags. DHL service is tops in my opinion. Too bad that DHL stopped US domestic services a few years back. read more

Walked in ten minutes before closing, almost EXPECTING them to be rude to me... as many of these places tend to be, particularly in a dodgy neighborhood, especially during a cold rainy night prior to closing. They couldn't have been nicer, and I was in and out in three minutes. Expectations surpassed by about 1000%.
