On my Monday visit, I placed a phone order and got a large pizza: * 1/2 Deluxe (mozzarella cheese, zesty marinara, pepperoni, Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, green bell peppers, red onion, black olives, mushrooms, tomatoes) * 1/2 Meat Lovers (mozzarella cheese, zesty marinara, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, meatballs, bacon, Italian sausage) For the Friday visit, I ordered online because the restaurant was busy and phone orders were on hold. I ordered two pasta dishes: Spinach Raviolis (with creamy marinara sauce) and Lasagna. The restaurant called to inform me that they were out of both the Raviolis and the traditionally-made Classic Lasagna. They offered to make two Seafood Lasagnas instead. I have to say that both the pizza and the lasagna were absolutely flavorful and delicious! For the pizza, I loved the taste of the fresh ingredients; each bite was super delectable. The pasta dish was also unique and tasty. I don't typically see restaurants offering a Seafood Lasagna, and the execution was top-tier in my book. The interior of the restaurant was nice and cozy, with several tables and chairs. The staff members were pleasantly kind, and all of the food was fairly priced. Overall, I highly recommend Vivi's Pizza & Pasta for incredible pizza and pasta.

I ordered two slices, not realizing how big they were turns out, two slices is basically a whole pizza! J/k The slices are HUGE and loaded. I enjoyed every single bite. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. On top of that, the customer service was great. Even though they were closing, they still let me sit and eat super last minute, which I truly appreciated. I stayed at a timeshare right across the street, so this spot was perfect. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in the area. Thank you for the delicious pizza and great hospitality! They have a few seats that you can dine in, but the place is more to go type of joint great music playing on the TV

Both times we visited, the waitstaff was incredibly courteous, attentive, and greeted us with warm, beautiful smiles. Food & Drinks: The Cheeseburger: Extremely juicy, perfectly cooked, and topped with fresh condiments on a beautifully toasted bun. The fries were extra crispy, delicious, and perfectly salted. We paired the burger with the Island Lager. It had a very crisp, clean taste that complemented the meal perfectly. Highly recommended! On our second night, we tried the pizza. Being from California, we're spoiled with some amazing wood-fired pizza places, but hands down--this pizza was absolutely delicious. The dough was soft and clearly handmade rather than ready-made, and the cheese and pepperoni were fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend BV's for both the fantastic food and the stellar service!

This place has an extensive Italian menu, and a huge drink menu showcasing a vast collection of bourbon. All of which is wildly overpriced, which is to be expected in this context. No complaints there. It's the Italian menu. Well, not really the menu...the cooking is horrific. We ordered a Hawaiian BBQ chicken pizza. A 16" thin crust which should have been a nice treat on an island with no shortage of fresh chickens and pineapple, and with a solid love of BBQ. The waitress was friendly and I was very optimistic. We also ordered some salad. The food came out quickly. First the salad. The lettuce was flimsy. The salad dressing was tasteless. It was basically some limp green lettuce and coarse chopped bell peppers. The salad was disappointing, to say the least - you have to seriously not give a rip to make a salad that boring. Then the main event! The pizza arrived. Complete with that nifty metal rack thing they bring out so that your pizza seems to hover over your table. The table did not have red pepper flakes, extra cheese or even salt and pepper - which I figured was a good sign. It looked OK: small chunks of chicken spread thinly across a 16" pizza, with small pineapple chunks (all of which were strangely uniform in size) and a pretty generous splattering of BBQ sauce mixed into the melted mozzarella. I sliced myself a slab of that pie and got ready to eat! One bite told me everything I needed to know. The uniformly shaped pineapple chunks had that telltale slightly metallic flavor because...IT CAME FROM A CAN! Hawaiian sacrilege! Then the BBQ sauce hit. I couldn't tell if it was from unsold McRib sandwiches, KC Masterpiece, or a jug of plain wrap BBQ SAUCE from the Big Save Market. It wasn't good. Then I reached the crust, which seemed like it came out of one of those Pillsbury tubes you get at the store and smack on your kitchen counter to get it to pop open. Nice for wrapping hot dogs for 7 year olds, not so great for pizza dough. The Hawaiian criminal code should include a felony for serving canned pineapple to unsuspecting pizza eaters. Bobby V's doesn't even have a beautiful Hawaiian vibe going for them. The ambiance is the disastrous hell hole called the Coconut Marketplace - a pointless commercial development where they ripped out real Hawaii and built simulated Hawaii. There are several other restaurants walking distance from this place, and even a McDonald's that's not so that far away; even the egg salad from a dispenser in the men's room at a nearby gas station is probably better than the pizza we ate (and it might make you a genius!) While attempting to eat a piece of their awful pizza - I watched as several plates of very overcooked pasta were served at nearby tables. The pasta was clearly very mushy and it didn't smell very good either. Perhaps they serve good desserts, depending on what's on sale at Costco. The beer was good...but someone else made that. Don't just skip Bobby V's, run! Run! And warn the others. I'm an absolutely hard pass on this place and you should be too. UPDATE: We got home from our trip and put together a Costco pizza kit for a late dinner. It was 10X better than Bobby V's pie, and cost about $3.

But a TV commercial stating that a 3 topping large pizza, any style ($10 for carryout) caught my attention. So tried it, and it turned out pretty good. I've been meaning to try their 'new' tavern-style (mimicking Chicago's thin crust) pizza for a while. So downloaded the app while driving back from Kauai's North Shore, and ordered/paid for the single pizza while my wife drove. The timing worked out well, with us arriving 30 minutes after ordering . Of course, in Hawaii it was quite a bit more than $10 ($17 in this case). I got an order confirmation email soon after. This location is a dine-in restaurant, mimicking the style from 40 years ago. There was a flat screen with status of orders placed, and my name was on it with a status of 'complete'. There were pizza warming ovens accessible so first thought I was supposed to self-pick it up (like a delivery driver). But it was empty, so waited until I could get a teenagers attention. He got the pizza box from a warming oven, handed it over without much effort and we drove back 10 minutes to our hotel. The pizza was good, especially with the bottled Corona we had back in the room. The toppings of cupped pepperoni, Italian sausage, and canned pineapple was surprisingly generous with a decent amount of cheese, all covered right to the end of the crust. It was cut into squares, and I think it would tasted really good if eaten right out of the oven...so dining in might be the way to go here.
