Ok after a second incident today Sadly I am ending my use of fed ex which is sad because that means I can no longer enjoy chewy. I would like to say that Tanner and Eric in the office are superb abd so is Julio at corporate but they cant deliver packages. I just cant afford to lose anymore and our zone has horrible driver. The regular driver we had was amazing and now he is off to school and we are stuck with this arrogant cocky mess that really doesnt care if you get a package or not and since he is sub contracted it is pretty certain nothing will be done. Zero is more appropriate, but not available, so they unfortunately get a 1 Today one of my packages from Wayfair was delivered by Fed Ex. The delivery person put the package right in front of my garage door, making it impossible for me to get in or out of my garage with my car. A friend who was here saw the woman driving the Fed Ex truck as the driver was about to climb back into the truck and leave. She reached out to the driver, and told her that I am disabled, and not able to move the package, and that I had wanted it offloaded at the barn next to my house (the package is a gazebo, so very large, and very heavy). The driver said no, and that next time I need to be more specific on my delivery options. My friend said, "So what am I supposed to tell her...no?" The driver rudely said yes, she was to tell me no, and drove off. I am currently unable to walk, having had Achilles Tendon surgery last month. My doctor said I was to be non-weight bearing, so I use a scooter to get around. I haven't been outside for 6 weeks since my surgery, as there are steps at all of my doors, and knee scooters can't go up and down steps. I have a doctor appointment in Santa Rosa tomorrow, 9/1 at 11:30, and now I can't get my car out of the garage to take me to go see the surgeon for an update on my Achilles. Tried to get ahold of the local office to request she comes back to put it in the right place, and there was no way to get ahold of a local office. I sent a message to Wayfair asking them to never deliver something to me through Fed Ex again. read more

Stick with USPS and UPS. This particular branch of Fed Ex are Known for being thieves. You see it's real simple, all packages that come through Fed ex are tracked from the distributor to the customers door step ,in return that being the case it doesn't leave much room for error. The fact is myself and many others have purchased items and it seems various high dollar items that say they are out for delivery just never seem to make it, and never will. read more

Said my package was delivered, yeah, to the wrong address! The picture of the door where it was delivered was quite a bit nicer than ours. Contacted FedEx via phone and they opened a problem tracker. I was told I would get a call. I did from someone in another country, who asked if I was home when the package was delivered. I was home, no package was delivered. Then I was asked if a tag was on my door. No, my package went to the wrong house! I was then told it would be the next week before anything would be done. I said just get my package from the wrong house and bring it to the correct house, call up the Arcata office and ask them what gives?! If I could, I'd give them negative stars. I will be contacting the place I ordered it from and leaning on them to take care of this. read more

The ground delivery service in this area is so bad it's unbelievable. I have had packages thrown in bushes on main road of house. A $600 dollar phone thrown on neighbors lawn in rain. The other day in line at shipping store; All the people telling stories of same experiences as me and some were worse. Why is this being tolerated in this area with a major company. Fed ex brought my package on the 17th, my partner saw him walk up to our door. He didn't leave the package. We waited all day. No package. Tracking said it was on the truck. Then when we checked the tracking again it said it wouldn't be delivered till Monday the 20th. It arrived on Saturday the 18th. That sucked. Glad I finally got it. I received a package today but it took 3 calls to FedEx & a half hour of looking to find it. We have a long drive (about 200 ft) down a hill. Near the top of the driveway is a utility shed. The driver placed the brown package against the brown utility shed on the side facing the house. To do that, they had to walk over our landscaping which scattered rocks into the driveway. The utility shed is not visible from the house so I had no idea the package was there. You have to walk halfway up the driveway to even see the shed through the trees. I get that nobody wants to walk down, then back up the driveway but they need to do their job. Had the representative at the local shipping center not spoken to the driver who told him where it was, I wouldn't have found it for days as I'm sick & unable to leave the house. Further, the package was left in a patch of ferns & ticks love to hide out in those patches. I was NOT pleased to have to risk getting ticks to get my package. Also, I was given wrong information the first two times I called FedEx. They originally told me it was left in the mailbox. Not only is that illegal, but the packaged contained 2 pairs of shoes in their boxes...it wouldn't have even come close to fitting in the mailbox. read more

Why don't Fedex Express door tags include a recipient name? Hey, here's a fun game! *Someone* in this house has a package, but we're not going to say who! Now the whole household gets to make the drive out to the Fedex Center! Wee! Or I guess EVERY person would have to sign it when you leave it on the door? Also, they close at 5pm. FedEx doesn't even know how to knock or ring a doorbell. They'll make a failed delivery attempt and leave a notice on your door while you're sitting in your house waiting for them. Don't know why anyone bothers using FedEx, I've had some kind of problem every time my package came FedEx, but USPS and UPS work flawlessly every time read more

I used Fedex extensively in the valley for many years and was very happy with the service. After I moved to the coast it was way different! First of all it is never 1 day service. In fact, it is frequently more than two days. A few months ago I called the local Eureka office about a package that was at Eureka ready to be shipped to me just 20 miles south. They said the package had been left on the airplane and was enroute to Sacramento. They thought it was pretty funny....Hmmm...wonder if they would have had the same reaction if it was there package. My suspicion is that there is some bad management in the Eureka office. Oh...BTW...don't try to call there now: you will be put on hold forever and than when the phone rings the line will go dead. read more
