Cobb salad

Hotel restaurants tend to have crappy food and slow service but not this one! This is a really good restaurant and it saved the day. The crab and corn chowder is AMAZING! The cobb salad was really good too and tasted so fresh. The fires were good also. The drinks were expertly crafted. They were probably the best drinks I had my whole weekend in DC. Definitely adding this to my list of DC restaurants.

Stayed at the Hilton and it was too cold to step out so decided to stay in and eat at Federal City Bar - the Shirt Rib Quesadillas were outstanding- the service by Josh was excellent....Glad we stayed in!

Well, this was a nice surprise! Great service, great food, great drinks...and no challenges with finding a seat! I enjoyed the Tijuana street fries and salad - too much food for one person! But absolutely fresh and delicious. Maybe I didn't have enough room for the food after three lush dirty martinis. They were icy cold - frosting the glass and went down too well. Great mixer behind the bar for sure. I would give consideration to staying in this spot during my next business trip for the easy access to quality food and excellent drinks.

One of the best steaks I've had. I didn't expect much from a hotel, but they are definitely in my top 10, not top 5, but a solid top 10. Perfect seasoning and very juicy. No complaints.

Had to write a review because we were so satisfied with the service we got recently at this bar during Labor Day weekend. Crab cakes and fries were good and the drinks were good as well. The bartender Denny was really attentive and made sure everyone was served. My husband was listening to him name the Whiskeys to another patron and says wow he knows his liquor lol

Got Tijuana fries and calamari and a bottle of wine for room service. It was great! Surprised it held up so well.

In DC for business and pleasure I stopped in this fine establishment at The Washington Court Hotel for drinks and good food on a cold, snowy evening.

Come for the drinks, stay for the vibes. I was visiting from out of town and hear this rooftop bar…read morewas a good spot to check out and I was not disappointed. The views were perfect and the service was just as good. Good spot for groups or a celebration with friends!

What an...interesting experience…read more This bar sits on top of the Moxy Hotel, which is a sleek, modern spot in downtown DC. Unfortunately, getting to the rooftop was one of the most frustrating parts of the night. Access is only through the lobby, and the security team handling crowd control was completely disorganized. We were constantly being redirected with conflicting instructions: told to line up around the bar, then yelled at to move to the wall, then called to the elevator, then scolded for approaching it. It felt chaotic and unnecessarily hostile, like we were being managed instead of welcomed. To make things worse, IDs were checked multiple times (3-4 times per person) because there was no clear or centralized process. We were attending a birthday party that the venue itself had advertised on Instagram with ~75 guests expected at 9pm. When we arrived, we were told the rooftop was "closed" until 10. After waiting an hour in the lobby bar and dealing with the confusion above we finally got upstairs...only to find it already packed with people who had clearly been there for hours. The "reserved section" for our group was extremely underwhelming: a small space directly in front of a very loud DJ booth and a cold back corner where the heat lamps didn't work (and staff said there was nothing they could do). Service was just okay...no one was particularly friendly, but orders were eventually filled. The bar was oddly limited (only one beer option: Michelob Ultra), and some bartenders seemed unsure about basic drink requests (like a vodka soda with pineapple). The biggest issue came when we asked for the birthday cake we had given to staff earlier for storage. No one knew where it was. It took over 30 minutes and multiple staff members to locate it, and when we finally left for the night, the cake box was damaged beyond use with no remorse. Overall, this is much more of a crowded, club-style rooftop than a place for a planned event, dinner, or even conversation. The view is nice, but the experience didn't match the hype. If you go, expect a party vibe and minimal service and be prepared to navigate some very confusing (and inconsistent) security direction.

Deliciousness - 3/5 Happiness -5/5…read more This place is for drinkers as it has no food, so if you want to lift an ale (and go out for dinner before or after, or bring food in with you), this is the place to be. They have a large beer, wine, and liquor list (although not nearly as many English beers as I expected from a place called Crown & Crow). I won't deny that I wasn't a fan of either of the mixed cocktails I had, with both (including strangely a smoky drink) being too sweet. But the beer was expertly poured and the wine was a very generous serving. The prices are also more than reasonable, which is great for a DC bar. But what really elevates this place is the service. By late night, the place was jam packed. But each and every bartender was extremely friendly and they expertly worked the crowd, getting drinks served quickly (which too few places manage to do) and swiftly clearing off tables of dirty glasses. I also greatly appreciated the free goldfish that they happily dole out to the patrons. The staff made this a really good time.

We came in on a busy Saturday early-evening for drinks before dinner. The back room was…read more"reserved", but we were told to sit back there, given the size of our group and we sat nowhere near the party that was in there. The bartender in that area was friendly, but unhelpful, directing us to use the front room's bartender, even though she wasn't busy when we approached and asked for a couple of drinks. The bartender in the main room was great, he was very friendly and once he started a tab for me he said I could use the other bar too, I guess he wasn't aware the bartender at that other bar already told me she wouldn't help me. Regardless, the drinks we had were decent. For small bites, they only had gold fish crackers, I wish they would have had more to nosh on while drinking. Overall, not a bad visit.
