Feastivities catered our wedding, and did an amazing job. Everyone raved about the food at the reception, and Ashley/Liz did a great job making sure everything leading up to it went smoothly. They even coordinated with all of the other vendors. It was definitely the least stressful part of the wedding planning! Our ceremony ran short, so some guests arrived at the reception really early, before all the setup was done, and Feastivities had a bar / cheese display set up almost immediately. Their staff did a great job of being on hand but hidden - you didn't notice they were there until you needed them, at which point someone would swoop in to help out. Phenomenal service, food, attention detail, and overall pride in business. I could not say enough great things about Feastivities. They catered our wedding in July and that is an understatement as they do so much more than cater. We had many many problems with our wedding venue - they filed bankruptcy 6 mos. out! So our date and venue jumped around a few times. Not only were Feastivities accommodating of our crazy plans but we got personalized attention when figuring out how to deal with this issue. Dan (the man!) went above and beyond his role with helping us. The most important thing...the FOOD. Ah-maz-ing! We were really impressed by the creativity and edibility of the food they served. Again, the attention to detail was so great it really made the difference. Creative presentation was a big pull for us. But also, the food was delicious and not too over the top that a picky eater couldn't enjoy some fine dining. Totally recommend twice over! We were so convinced that this was our choice of caterer that we didn't do a lot of price shopping so I can't speak to that point. Plus it's hard to tell with these things because the numbers change so much as you add and subtract from what you want. read more

Why aren't negative stars an option? This place caters for the gorgeous historical Stotesbury Mansion which is SO sad because Feastivities is the definition of unprofessional and deceitful. We were thrown through three different wedding coordinators in the year of our wedding planning and clearly they are at the bottom of the barrel because Jessica Gruskin is a current "manager." Enter the flakiest and most irresponsible individual we have ever encountered. She conveniently does not respond to emails or phone calls. She will attempt to leave your wedding at 9:00 pm and will not direct the rehearsal of your wedding. Worst of all, she will keep any belongings you leave at the Stotesbury and refuse to return them to you- even when you finally reach her and set up a time To retrieve your items. She lied to our faces and told us she would return our items to our hotel that evening. Shocker- she failed to do this. But failure seems to be her strong point. Avoid this monster at All costs. We just got married in June 2019 at Carinwood Estate and we could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. The venue was out of a fairytale and our caterer, Feastivities was superb! Our Feastivities coordinator, Lauren Guttilla, was amazing! She was great to work with and had innovative ideas to help us get the most out of our day. We also had a lot of moving parts with our wedding and she was able to orchestrate everything seamlessly. She was very responsive to any questions or comments we had -- which was important as we got closer to the big day. The Feastivities food was delicious! We did the Chef Bar and Carts option and everything came out great. We received numerous comments from our guest about how much the enjoyed the different plates they had. For anyone who wants a memorable wedding, with great food, and a staff that will help reduce stress as you go about the wedding process, I would highly recommend Feastivities! read more

Bernice, Danielle and the rest of the Festivities crew were so fantastic to work with. They handled details that went way beyond the food. They coordinated with our DJ, Bakery and Florist to make sure the details of our wedding day were all synced up. The food was outstanding! The food during cocktail hour and our dinner entrees were excellent. We had a few guests with special diets and certain foods they couldnt eat, and Feastivities went above and beyond creating special dishes just for them. Hiring Feastivities was the most regrettable and costly decision we have ever made. Instead of taking responsibility for an embarrassing list of mistakes they made at our wedding- including those related to food safety and dietary restrictions- the person in the highest position there blamed us, our guests, and our wedding planner. After much pushing, they offered a marginally small refund- but only if we signed a non-disclosure agreement giving up our 1st amendment rights such that we would never discuss our experience...That right there tells you something. We have never been treated so rudely by any business owner- ever. Do not eat your heart out giving tens of thousands of dollars to a caterer that will leave you embarrassed and your guests sick. Please choose another caterer who appreciates your business, your wedding, and your hard-earned dollar. read more

I had the pleasure work with Doug and Justin from Feastivities for my 10.5.13 wedding! This team was so amazing! Since my venue wasn't a "traditional" wedding space, we had to bring in everything ourselves! Doug and Justin worked out all the rentals and designed the space exactly the way I envisioned. Our food was unique , innovative and delicious! We interviewed a few caterers before we booked our tasting with Feastivities. I was blown away by the presentation and professionalism. We recently had our wedding at the beautiful Smithville Mansion and had Feastivities catering the event. We were extremely happy with how our wedding day went. From the food, to the decorations, to the excellent service, the event was everything we wanted it to be. In the beginning I had my doubts about how the event would turn out. Throughout the year of planning we had 3 different contacts at Feastivities, and worked with Lauren G the longest. I get the impression that the entire catering business tends to see a lot of turnover. We also loved the venue we picked but also had quite a bit of turnover on the venue side as well and dealt with an additional 3 different contacts for Smithville. Unfortunately, the only Feastivities employees that had ever witnessed a wedding at Smithville no longer worked with the company so there was a bit of fumbling around to understand the intricacies of dealing with a county run venue. I am a very type A personality and kept track of all the details. I think this really helped as we transitioned through different contacts. I'm sure I drove Lauren a little nuts with all my questions and wanting to stick to the timeline that was set by her predecessor. She never let it show though and was always very professional. We attended our tasting with Feastivities with Chef Kim and loved the attention to detail and personalization that Feastivities was able to offer. My husband and I love to travel and used this as our theme so they helped us pick appetizers that showed this. We also talked about our love of Vietnamese food and specifically Bahn Mi so we were surprised when they found a way to work a Bahn Mi slider into the appetizer menu. We had also picked a fall salad out for the tasting but were urged to try the grilled caesar salad and it was so fantastic we changed our minds right there. Our guests raved about that salad and I could eat it daily. We also went with the stuffed chicken breast with a pesto cream sauce and the BBQ beef brisket for a sit down dinner. Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful. Lauren and the rest of the Feastivities staff were amazing with how they decorated the venue and how they treated our guests. At one point one of our guests had a medical emergency and a server noticed that he wasn't looking well. The server sat with our guest, gave him water and a towel, and sat with him until the ambulance arrived. They did all this without the bride and groom finding out. We found out after the event and I am so grateful that Feastivities was professional and helped to get our guest to medical attention. Lauren not only decorated the venue for us but she also broke everything down and packed it up into our truck. She allowed us and our bridal party to relax while they took care of everything. At midnight Lauren was still at the venue finishing packing up for us. We will always remember how great our wedding was and I will be forever searching for a grilled caesar salad now! read more

Be very wary of this company. They have paid to have my reviews removed from other websites. I do not doubt that many have had positive experience but negative feedback is systematically repressed. I have had to prove to 2 separate companies that my review was not "SPAM" or "MISTAKEN" by sending them signed contracts in order for my reviews to be allowed. I will start with positive feedback. The food was excellent and we had a good relationship with our first event planner. Our venue the Stotesbury Mansion was gorgeously fabulous. From there it goes downhill. I worked with 3+ wedding planner over the course of 9mo planning process. We loved Lauren. Bernice was a little unresponsive but knowledgeable . However, Bernice was very unprofessional in not telling us that she never planned to actually be present at our event (she noted that this is not uncommon for Feastivities.) However, we only learned of her absence at our rehearsal. I do not remember the name of my new planner because I only talked to her for about 5 minutes and at that time she was busy planning for someone elses event which occurred in the same venue immediately after the rehearsal. She was clearly overwhelmed. On the day of our wedding, she had NO clue of our schedule or vendors. She was obviously disinterested and confused and she blamed all delays and confusion on myself, my family and my day of coordinator. I feel that our wedding which had a pretty healthy budget was not priority for them and their staff. I believe that for whose budget is not above $75,000+ you are likely to not have the 5-Star experience. read more

We decided to get married and set a date about 4 weeks out. Feastivities was incredible to deal with. They had everything under control including a site visit in about 1 week. Ben, was very responsive to any changes we made and the night of the event he was everywhere helping when needed (including clearing dishes). The food was not only beautiful but delicious. The staff was so friendly that many of my guests commented on how nice they were- especially Nicki. I tend to be very critical, but I thought they made it a perfect celebration. I used this company for my recent wedding and was quite disappointed, for several reasons. - My most important complaint was that they emphasize great service but really don't provide it. They f'ed up our hors d'oeuvres orders twice during sampling... they were nonresponsive over email... they took ages to redo price quotes and send back... they never amended the contract on some terms that we wanted to change, etc... for what they charge and promise, their service was really sub-par. - Their food is quite good, but not "OMG" good. Our beef filet was great but the chicken was average and so was the veggie pasta. Again, for $100 per head and up, the food should have been superb and it really wasn't. - They made a huge show of their expert technique of serving all the plates on a table at the same time with a flourish, and taking them away all together. Seriously, this was one of their top marketing points. But guess what? They didn't do it!! They just plain ol' served everyone the regular way... not a big deal, but after emphasizing it 50 times in their marketing materials you'd think they'd actually do it on the day itself. - And finally, the biggest fear of all brides - FLAKINESS on your wedding day!! The woman who was supposed to be my main contact informed me 2 weeks prior to the date that she was going to have to leave to attend some charity event midway through my wedding instead of staying the whole time - WTF!! She knew my wedding date 6 months in advance! And while she did arrange for a replacement, she refused to give me the replacement's contact info and instead insisted that I only contact her. So if something had gone wrong the day of the wedding, I would be calling her cell phone at her charity event instead of calling the replacement who was actually supposed to be there. Unbelievable! Overall, my husband and I completely regretted paying ridiculous $$$ for these people and getting above-average-but-not-great food, really bad service, and major pre-wedding flakiness. The catering is usually the single biggest budget item in a wedding and it affects all your guests, so it's the most important one to get right. Don't waste your time and your money with Feastivities. read more

Feastivities Events was our caterer of choice for our wedding at Greystone. Bernice was our event producer and she was absolutely amazing. I couldn't have put together the wedding without her. There were few parts of the whole day that Bernice didn't help out with. Truly more than I ever expected. In addition to all of her help, the food was absolutely amazing! We had several guests rave that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. After our tasting, I knew that I needed to eat more of our passed appetizers on the big day (they really were that good!). Bernice made sure we had a tray of food near us at all times during pictures, as well as someone to make sure we always had a drink. There also was more serving staff with Feastivities than any caterer that we looked into. This was important to us since we didn't want people waiting forever for their food! Dinner was served quickly and people were out dancing in no time. Another thing I noticed was that more people ate the desserts since Feastivities had servers moving throughout the estate with slices of cake and their adorable mini ice cream cones. Everything was so perfect and beyond what I ever thought it could be! Our wedding of over 200 people went off flawlessly and I honestly cannot rave enough! read more

I wish I didn't even have to leave a star on here. Beyond upset with this unprofessional company. I regrettably hired them for my wedding and after over a year of planning, you would think at least one thing would go correct the day of. I had put so much time, effort, and money (for it not to show at all) in order to make my day special & they lacked in every aspect from beginning to end. I had given them the benefit of the doubt from the beginning but I wish I went with my gut feeling and all the other negative reviews on here because they are so true. I called to speak to a manager and detailed everything that had went wrong and what do you know, they blamed my other vendors. Mind you, I spent hours planning a whole itinerary in person two weeks before the wedding.. parent dances, bouquet toss, garter toss were never done.. I had to pay my videographer extra to stay for the cake cutting (which no one even showed up to because they weren't told) because apparently nothing went according to the itinerary my DJ received from them, which I was not informed about. My "signature drink" table was a dollar store pitcher at the bar, the decorations and candles I had brought in were still in bins and unused at the end of my wedding. As far as food goes - it is embarrassing that family members came up to me after the wedding to tell me that there were hungry because there wasn't enough food. I bought tall centerpieces from my florist and since feastivities showed up an hour late (which I was called a liar about but yet, I have proof) my florist left.. feastivities filled up the bottom of the 24 inch vases and wondered why the wind blew them over and they broke during cocktail hour.. the manager tells me that is my florists' problem and they should have stayed to set up and that I should be grateful that they even put them on the table. These are things I can never get back and the manager has the audacity to raise his voice because I was upset and claims his "company" did nothing wrong when he wasn't even there. What a way to treat a client that brought you in thousands of dollars that didn't even show for it. read more

Feastivities did a fantastic job on our wedding at Stotesbury Mansion (March 2016). We worked with Karen most of the time and then Bernice. Both ladies were quick to respond, detailed, and absolutely wonderful. They were always working for and with us. The food tasting was intimate and fantastic. If Feastivities weren't already a frontrunner, the food tasting would have sent them to the top of the list. Great options and everything was delicious. Leading up to the wedding, we must have sent a million questions and Karen or Bernice always got back to us quickly. Even in the last week, there were last minute additions and Feastivities was flexible and easy to work with. On the wedding day, everything looked great. Jill, the event manager, was wonderful to work with and Bernice was also there for a few hours to oversee things. They were always within reach making sure everything was perfect and on time. The whole staff was very nice. They were also flexible with us having a tea ceremony first and performers come in. My husband and I received a private plate of hor d'oeuvres right after the ceremony and everything tasted great. I love the tuna hor d'oeuvre they had and will remember that for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, I did hear from many guests that they didn't get or see many hor d'oeuvre during cocktail hour. That was a bit of a bummer as the hor d'oeuvre were awesome. The entrees were fantastic and many guests raved about their salmon and short rib entrees at and after the wedding. Also, the warm cookies and milk was amazing. I think cake was another thing some guests wish they had received - I know Feastivities doesn't serve cake to every person because they don't want to waste it since many will be dancing, but that's a double-edge sword. Overall, with Feastivities, you're in great hands. The whole staff is on top of things and will go above and beyond to help you. The food is amazing and delicious. Bernice and Owen were so wonderful! Everyone did a fantastic job helping our dream wedding become a reality! My husband and I were SO impressed with their professionalism, organization, attentiveness, and, of course, their food. From the amazing food tasting until the closing of the bar at the end of the wedding day Bernice and/or Owen were able to help me with any problems and questions. They were essential to making our wedding great! Bernice was amazing and made everything run so smoothly.She was also a saint and saved a tray of appetizers for myself and husband so we would have something to eat after the ceremony! At the reception we received LOTS of compliments on the food and service. The favorite food of the night was the s'mores that are served on clothespins and torched tableside! Feastivities catered our wedding in October 2015. I will start by saying the food was absolutely delicious - this is what's making this a two star review vs one star. A few relatively small issues we did have: 1. There was no champagne in our glasses for the speeches/toasts (the bride and groom) - we had to cheers with water. 2. The lead producer we worked with was very nice to us directly, but was rude and belittling to our other vendors they had not worked with before, particularly our florist who was a very close family friend. 3. They assured us they would help us load the cars at the end of the night and they did not. Our friends and family helped us load the cars at the end of the night, which is exactly what we said over and over we did not want to happen. 4. My husband asked them to use the less expensive house liquors for the signature drinks since they were mixed in large batches, but they used the top shelf liquor. 5. When we relayed our feedback about all of these points above, we received no apologies from the producer at all - only pointed fingers at us and our families, and blamed the rainy weather and made excuses which was very disappointing. read more

We worked specifically with Hannah, who helped us along every step of the way, and I attribute all of her expertise and assistance throughout the entire process to making our special day feel so memorable and so personalized. Festivities made sure that both of us felt comfortable with everything that was being decided on in each step of the planning process, from the tasting menu, down to our signature cocktails served at the reception. Almost every single guest we've talked to afterwards couldn't stop raving about the wedding, and more specifically about how great the quality the food was, especially with an event with 100 people. While we enjoyed all the preparation work, coordination and communication with Lauren prior to our event, things quickly took a turn right before our wedding. Everything leading up to the event appeared so wonderful - we were told that things will be taken care of for us, that the prices will be fair, no hidden fees, certain parts will be complimentary, that they want the event to be wonderful and stress-free...etc. etc... These were all false promises. Long story short, what they promised us were lies. Here are a few things as examples: 1) The decor they did beforehand was minimal (we had copious amounts of orchids left over that were not added to the decor, it cost SO much money and had to be all thrown away because Feastivities didn't actually use it to add it to the decor, they did the minimum and tossed the rest to the side). 2) Be careful with the invoices, they fudge numbers to make it equal to what they want it to equal to. Basically they decide on the total and will then change numbers as they please so that it amounts to what they aim to charge - terrible and insulting. Not even to mention that they required a payment but refused to talk to us about the invoice until a few days before the wedding! (Knowing you're stressed and wouldn't want to deal with more problems! They take advantage of couples and I'm sure they get away with it) Also, their math made no sense... and only after A LOT of back and fourth did they admit to being unable to do simple math. 3) "Our staff will make sure you and your husband always have a drink in hand! You're our priority!" - guess what? I couldn't even get a glass of water at my own wedding! Meanwhile their staff stood off to the side doing nothing. 4) What you try at your tasting won't be what you get at your event - way smaller portions and much poorer quality. Just another lie. 5) Supposedly they help you pack up at the end of the event and make sure you don't have to worry about cleaning up- what that actually means is "we will dump everything by the door for you to deal with." My husband and I spent 2 hours after our wedding packing and cleaning up: beautiful sendoff - thank you Feastivities Events! There are few things I would change about my wedding, but hiring Feastivities Events is DEFINITELY one of them. read more

I recently hosted a dinner party for 20 at my home. Feastivities was great; they handled everything in the most professional manner. The staff and food were excellent. They were punctual and tuned into every nuance, including answering the door and hanging up coats, as well as seeing that everyone's drink was filled. They set up perfectly, cleaned up quite efficiently, and needed little direction from me. After they left, it was hard to believe there were even there. Festivities did a rehearsal dinner for me at stotesbury mansion. I did not what the normal dinner party but suggested a 7 course tasting menu paired with wines. OMG!!! is all I can say! What an impressive staff- service was formal and impressive, the food was out of this world and they exceeded my expectations! I worked wiht Hannah Dann who helped me to orgainze the table tops, flowers and musicians in addition to the seated dinner. If I could give them a 6 star rating I would!!!!
