Fatburger near casino
Paul D.

I mean the food...it's ok. I've been to others and maybe they have a better place in the city. Service is chipper but they were apparently understaffed. This is near casinos and whatnot so it was just convenient to have this nearby but noisy environment it was just meh so so.

1/2 lb Fatburger (all the Works) with Fat Fries and drink.

This review is for Fatburger in Gila Casino Resort's "Food Court". Quotes are intended because there are only two food stalls in "Food Court". Food: - Large Meal ($14). -- I heard about Fatburger, but never tried it. The Large Fatburger (1/2 lb) with all "The Works". The burger was nothing special. It's better than McDonald's, Wendy's, or BK--but not as good as In-and-Out or 5 Guys. -- Fat Fries are also okay. I little limp, but they do give you a HUGE portion! -- Drink. Meh. Drinks are drinks. Service: Painfully slow. There were only about 8 customers, but I waited over 15 minutes. Mostly, because the employees were yapping and playing on their phones. Ambiance: It's a small "Food Court". Enough said. Overall: Sadly there are not many "economical" food choices at Gila Resort. There is an AMAZING Asian Fusion restaurant onsite (Ling & Louie's), so I would pay a little more and skip Fatburger.

Fatburger Fact: In the 1950s, owner Lovie Yancey worked 16 to 18-hour days at her Fatburger counter, seven days a week. Fatburger became popular with people who worked late night and early morning shifts. Are you the every day proletariat? Do you just want a no-frills burger? Come to Fatburger! For being in a food court at a casino, you really can't complain too much. Yes, you're paying like $8 for a burger and $15 for a combo but once again, you're inside a casino. The quality of the burger isn't bad. It's juicy and the beef patty is on the meatier side even. But like all the eateries here at Wild Horse, they lack seasoning. I hope Dean and Sam Winchester never gets trapped here with a ghost because there isn't any salt anywhere on the premise to save them.

The Large (1/2 pounder)! Not bad!

I was heading home from a doctor's appointment when I realized the traffic going into Maricopa would be backed up as the commuters were heading home; not to mention construction on both sides of the freeway closed down one lane on both sides. So I decided I'd wait it out somewhere or drive to Casa Grande and drive to Maricopa from there. Since I was hungry and I knew I'd be late for dinner at home, I decided to stop at Wild Horse Pass Casino. After I dropped a twenty in the slot machine, I wasn't sure if I wanted a full sit down dinner at the cafe or Ling and Louie's. Then I noticed a pizza place and Fat Burgers. After I saw the menu at Fat Burgers and their burgers started at a mere $8.00, I was sold. I decided on a one half pounder and a side of chili fries. The burger was pretty good. I got it with all the fixins'. The chili cheese fries weren't bad. I did wish it had more chili flavor. But the meal itself was more than sufficient. Would I order it again? The burger yes, chili cheese fries, probably not!

Inside the food court at the casino. Burgers, fries, onion, rings, milkshakes. This was my first time ever eating at a fat burger. I heard good things, so I was excited to try it. I did the original, with cheese, grilled onions, and no pickles. I had a meal with Onion rings and l a soda. The Onion rings were light and not heavy, I liked that. The burger was OK, I just wish it was warmer. My slice of cheese was not even melted.

Every so often I need to do something out of character. Going to a casino and having a Double Fatburger seemed weird enough for a Friday afternoon. LOL One of my coworkers owed me a lunch, so I suggested coming here to collect. Since I wasn't paying, I found my Double Fatburger to be delicious. As my SoCal Yelp friend Rohlin A. says: "The food always tastes better, when someone else is paying." And, the burger wasn't as greasy as some my past experiences, just good ole cooked red meat. Right now, this casino is renovating their food court area. So this might be my last chance coming here. The smoke inside aside, they do a brisk business.

We used to go to Fatburger all the time and then they closed the location in Gilbert. My daughter looked then up and we found the one at Wild Horse Pass so we had to go just for old times sake! Needless to say it was exactly as we remembered. Their shakes are AMAZING, we got the strawberry and maui banana. Now I'm not a big banana fan but I have to say that their banana shake is really really good, so creamy and yummy. We all got burgers with Fry's, onion rings and sweet potato Fry's. The onion rings were ok, the sweet potato Fry's were so friggin good I almost didn't eat my burger and the skinny Fry's were delish! Only part I didn't like...the price! $45 for 3 meals and 3 shakes but since it was for nostalgia sake I'll chalk it up to a memory...for burgers a Fry's. If you're in the casino or close by and you've never had it I'd definitely recommend it. I'm not a huge burger fan but if I have to eat one I want it to be a fatburger

Get the half pound burger with cheese, bacon and the egg. Add the steak fries. Everything was hot and I had so much satiety halfway through the burger. The food gets 5 stars. The line is slow and the dining area is sorta filthy, but I enjoyed my burger.

Get that Fat fry fix that in n out can't cure

The name refers to U.S. Patent 139, granted to Rudolf Gustav Hass for the Hass avocado, and the establishment was founded by Tim Hass, the inventor's great grandson. The space was larger than expected and the brewing area is in the corner and the bar is in the centerpiece. We grabbed seats at the bar, but there are tables in and outside. Our bartender was very nice and she explained Patent 139 brews in small batches and features beer from local breweries. My husband ordered a Neon Blaster Blonde and buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower were tangy and spicy. Definitely a good choice to stop in when in Chandler.

There is a parking lot and indoor/outdoor seating. I love the decor and ambiance of this place, especially the lighting in the dining room. They have a separate area with a small shop and cafe with desserts and some grab and go items. I will be back to try a coffee! My friend and I came here for the pre-set restaurant week menu. I made a reservation the night before, but it wasn't too busy while we were there on a Tuesday at 530pm. Our server Allison was great and very attentive. For appetizers we tried the whipped goat cheese spread and wagyu meatballs. I thought the goat cheese spread was delicious! For entrees we choose the pasta pomodoro and the farmers market pizza which were both very tasty. The pizza had so much flavor l, especially the crust, and the texture of the pasta was perfect!! For dessert we tried the affogato and apricot cheesecake. Oh My Gosh that cheesecake was the BEST dessert I've had in a while!!!! You have to try it and I can't recommend it enough!!!! When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again.

There are so many breweries and pubs around here that there's pretty tough competition. As other reviewers have stated, their duck fat fries are great! So crispy and the herbs really elevate it. They can be a little heavy handed with the salt to the point where you may see salt piles on your fries, but at least the salt granules are larger and can be easily swept off. Although their fries are great on their own, they unfortunately struggle to strand up when loaded. I'm not sure how they do it, but we've been to places where fries can remain crispy even when loaded with toppings. Their poutine is still tasty though if you don't mind your fries soggy. Their burgers have great beefy flavor, but after trying a few of their burger options, my partner and I also feel that some other places do their unique burger stylings a bit better. A lot of the toppings overwhelm rather than contribute to the overall burger. There's plenty of searing both indoors and out. You have bar top, high table, and regular table style seating for indoors. There's plenty of 4 person tables outdoors under shade and also with misters on if it's hot out. Indoor seating offers plenty of viewing for sports. Service is also pleasant. Due to how they source their ingredients, the overall menu is on the pricier side. Although my partner and I prefer other breweries more, we do think it's still worth it to try visiting Arizona Wilderness Brewing at least once.

THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. At first I thought I didn't want a burger as I usually make my own at home but was pleasantly surprised at the menu & ambiance. Sarina was our waitress & I asked her if the California Bowl was like a salad with a veggie burger as it doesn't state a beef patty? She said it's like a burger w/o a bun but as a bowl w/the ingredients & TOPPED with a beef patty. Oh, I see... So I asked if I could just have the Basmati Rice but it was a mixture of Basmati & Quinoa so she said she could give me more ingredients of something else like Brussels sprouts or Greens so I asked for more Greens. The ingredients are: griddled Sweet Potatoes, roasted Mushrooms, caramelized Onions, Brussels Sprouts, Quinoa, Avocado slices with a Tamari glaze. It was also topped with Cilantro & Green Onions. I also ordered an Iced Tea. The California Burger Bowl was soooo delicious with such a flavor bomb of textures, sweetness & caramelized, smokey flavors! The crunchiness from the cold greens, warm Brussels Sprouts, soft & sweet Caramelized Onions & Sweet Potatoes, plus the creaminess of the Avocados was such a great medley! I think I need to replicate this at home! Very creative & healthy! My cousin & friend both got burgers, one topped with mushrooms & one with a lettuce wrap sub, Zucchini & Sweet Potato Fries. The seating is very comfortable with the cushioned seats & booths & the restaurant is very bright & airy with lots of windows & high ceilings.
