I don't know what people rave so much about when it comes to fat burger. The only difference I taste is mustard and relish compared to other burgers. This location is nice 'cause it's new. Beef patty, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, maybe cheese and bacon. No mayo (hate it) and no mustard. The large Fatburger comes with an 8oz patty, lettuce, tomatoes, pickled relish, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. They give you the option of adding things such as bacon, cheese, and fried egg on the burger for a fee, I think from $.69 - $.99 which makes the burger more expensive. Mine had nothing extra and was $6.03. The burger was quite large but it did not taste as good as I would have liked. First, the beef patty was bland. I just wish they seasoned the beef more. Second, I do not like mayo and mustard. This is not entirely their fault because I could have kept it off the burger. So actually the burger was 3 stars. Just OK. The wait though should have been twice as fast. The place had about 20 people in it and only 4 people were actually waiting for food while I was. It took more than 20 minutes to get the food. The toppings are delicious too, and I just love how relish is included. The lettuce is shredded and gets everywhere but I actually like that. I needed a place to eat quick before an LA Galaxy game so we settled on Fat Burger. There was a long line so I assumed it would be something worth trying and quick as the line appeared to be moving fast. I liked that you got to choose the size of burger you wanted (S, M, L, XL, XXL) and got to choose what toppings you wanted (lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese, onions, chili, egg, bacon). Side note: There is a XXXL challenge where if you are able to eat the entire burger, you get your name and picture on the wall. I wished there had been an avocado topping because it would have made the burger better. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our meal to arrive, luckily there was a women handing out free samples of the milkshakes, which were very good. There was something different about the burger because there was a spice to it, which I was not fan of because I do not like spicy food. If I had to guess it was some sort of pepper mixture. The burger was warm, the fries were cold. The place was clean but small. There were 3 of us sitting at a six person table and we had to ask for chairs for our table from other customers because they had all gotten taken. The best part about Fat Burger is not Fat Burger, it is the parking in the lot. The lot does not have a limit on the amount of time you car park there or any signs saying 'No even parking' so I was able to save $15 and park in the lot for free during the Galaxy game. read more

We get home, both take bites of our burgers, and Diamond is immediately disgusted realizing she's been given a meat burger. I rush to examine her burger, because the impossible burger does look a lot like a real burger. I don't eat meat, so I can't confirm whether or not they taste like one. But they sure don't smell alike, which is how I determined, she really had been given a meat patty. Keeping in mind, it is now past 10 pm, we attempt to call the restaurant with the # given on the receipt, but it leads to a woman's voicemail. I google it, and find the receipt has a digit wrong.. Hmm. So I call, I ask to speak with the manager, after being asked repeatedly what my call is regarding, and explaining that i'd only like to go over this issue once, a woman by the name of Daisy came to the phone. I ask if she is the manager, she says he isn't in this late. i ask his name, she says it's Jose. i ask who she is, she says she Daisy, the person in charge.I explained to Daisy what happened, and she told me the impossible burger looks like meat. I assured her the burger we were given is meat. she then asks the cook about the order who confirms they made 2 impossible burgers, and dismissively asks me what I want to do about it or what do I want her to do about it? She makes an assumption that I would be coming back in the direction of Carson the next day, and asks if I want to come then or if i'd like a future credit. She then asks if we ate the burger "then" realized it was meat, as if to say that we ate this burger and then tried complaining to get a free meal. By this time, i'm fuming, and trying my best to remain under control. Daisy says something to the effect of, giving a new sandwich or having us drive there again for a refund, are the only options. I couldn't hold back anymore, her tone was too disrespectful for me to accept this as a simple human error and now I felt completely disregarded. So I told her, I guess that's why I need to speak with Jose then, because he'd know what to do. Fast forward to today when i call asking to speak to Jose. I'm asked who I am and what my call is regarding. I give my name and explain that i'd like to speak with him. I'm asked again for what my call is regarding because he's a little "tied up" at the grill. I ask if I should call back at another time, he says an hour. 2 hours later, I call back, ask again, am asked again who i am and why I'm calling. Give my name again, and i'm hung up on. This is the most off putting experience i've had with any restaurant in very long time. I only hope you monitor these phone lines so you can review these conversations and use them as a reference of "What not to do". I'd just mentioned the restaurant to my sister who lives on the east coast, not even an hour before all of this happened. I like fatburger, I remember one in particular, the one near UCLA, tasting like the best burger I'd ever had on one particular night. This one was fine, the burgers wern't the best of all the chains I'd been to, but they wern't bad or anything either. A solid 4 stars probably on the food alone. Food took forever though, never had to wait so long for a burger, and c'mon... When the person standing in line behind you gets served before you, something went wrong no? Especially since we got no substitutions, and when they finally did bring it out the girlfriend's fries wern't even there. Had to wait even longer for those. I know how long fries take, I've cooked them before! Too slow for a night that wasn't that busy, seems more like they just forgot about us and then remembered later. Which they probably did. While not the original stop that was on Western and Jefferson many moons ago, Fatburger make a decent "neat" burger. I always get the turkey burger because it is good as are the fries, when I feel a bit naughty with the diet. As for their regular burgers, I have moved away from them because they do tend to disappoint where as the original spot had that down to a fine science; big, juicy, sloppy, and tasty. I will say that services at this location is always good when I visit. Very friendly, and accommodating. This place was my first ever visit to the Fatburger franchise, and sadly has forever tainted my first experience with them. My order of medium burger with egg, came out egg-less. I went up to the grill and pointed out that the egg was missing and one of the staff told me they were out of eggs... and then... nothing. Just a blank stare. so... that's it? You guys took my order of an add-on, that I paid extra for... and then when you realized you ran out of it... you just send out the order and pretend nothing happened? This person just stood there, no alternatives were given, or asked if I wanted a refund.. until I actually asked "What else can you give me". I guess Fatburger was not this person's #1 place to work, but I got the feeling that this person dreaded working there, and have just stopped caring. Let me first start off by saying Jose is the best store manager I've ever met!!! Every time I come in he is working just as hard or harder than his staff. He lives by the rule the customer is ALWAYS right! Aside from that the food is quality and delicious. It's always clean and orderly inside. The menu is extensive now. I'm gonna try the new wings for the first time today so we'll see... But I expect it will be just as good as the rest of their food. Since discovering Fatburger more than 20 years ago, it has always been my favorite burger place. Yes, even more than in-n-out! Alas, as I have gotten older, I must cut back on my visits to burger joints. So I don't get here often but when I am at work and want a burger, this is my place of choice. It is generally pretty clean, but the line can get a bit long at lunch. Like out the door long. I am always amazed at the people who need a minute to look at the menu when they get to the register. They serve burgers, it's not that complicated! My only real pet peeve with this location is the small paper cups used to hold ketchup that you dispense yourself. They're like 1/4 inch deep. You need three or four for an order of fries. Try carrying 4 of those damn things! Plus your drink! Get some larger containers, please! read more

The employees are friendly, always smiling, courteous, and they keep busy when the place is empty. Good work ethic! The decor is nice, the space is big, flat screen tv stays on sports most of the time, and tables are always clean. By far my favorite Fatburger location. I visited this location just yesterday (Friday) to have a lunch date with my husband. The customer service is good, the cashier was super nice. What first caught my attention was that a shift supervisor (it said so on her shirt) was walking around in sandals with her feet exposed through the kitchen. That is so unsanitary and unhygienic. Even if she wasn't on shift at the moment she should not be walking around with her feet exposed. Therefore it really makes me question the hygiene of this place because later that night my husband got food poisoning and threw up the burger. Be aware and be careful when eating here. Horrible service! Just walked out because nobody helped me. There were 5-7 employees there and less customers. One employee was sitting in a booth talking on the phone.
