"You can't rush perfection." That's what the sign on the drive thru reads and as a life long fan of fatburger, its a very appropriate mantra. Fatburger reminds me of all the greatest backyard BBQ burgers I've eaten in my life, even though I believe they cook the burgers on a flat top grill. What I mean is all the flavors from the super fresh toppings combined with the deliciousness of the burger bring back all of my tastiest memories. I've eaten some amazing burgers in my life, but Fatburger is my all time favorite. It just checks all the boxes on what makes a burger awesome (for me anyway) and I'll pick it over anywhere else 10 times out of 10. If you like old fashioned burgers, and you are patient, just go already. My personal recommendation is King burger with everything and then add cheese and and egg. I just had 2 in the last 2 days and now I really want a third one. And yeah, it looks a little sloppy, but who cares, its amazing!

Dinner time

After living in the area for the past few years and walking and driving by countless times, my family and I finally came in last night for dinner. My girlfriend and I are recently on the Keto diet so we were on the fence in coming in but I was craving wings Haha And my son can always go for a burger and fries. Walking in I liked that we were properly greeted. I say all the time I'm a customer service first type of guy and that was the right way to make an impression on us. It being our first time at any Fatburger I had questions about their menu and wings. We had a very helpful and patient server which was much appreciated. The cooks were also very nice, chatting with us about the food and allowed me to sample the sauce flavors. Not many places would offer samples so I like and appreciate them doing so. My girlfriend ordered a plain burger with cheese on no bun. I ordered a 10 wing order, bone in and split with two sauces. 5 coconut jerk and the other 5 dry rub. My son ordered a burger kids meal with a chocolate milkshake. Everything we ordered was very good. And very flavorful. I like the space and the cool sports hang out feel they have going on. I will be back soon to watch some NBA games and stuff my face with more wings and bun-less burgers. If you're in the area and in the mood for a good burger and wings, stop in. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Nothing like a good fat burger, and onion rings, especially when they make it the way you want it, without telling them twice The food is fresh, hot, and delicious

A good affordable fast food place in expensive Beverly Hills. Boneless wings and a fat burger with two fry choices. Decor, cups, dry wrappers all nicer than most places so it is an inviting, albeit small place. Order done in 5-6 minutes. Better than McD but it's not 5 Guys.

A pound of beef + nauseous chili + American cheese + onion rings = potential heartburn.

It seems that Angelenos are always talking about Fatburger. Okay. I was on my way to eat at a deli on S. Santa Monica Blvd, only to find that it's now a dessert place. Well, I walked by Fatburger on my way there, so why not try it out. I had a XXL with chili and cheese. A little on the pricey side, but it was one pound, so you get what you pay for. I added onion rings and a large Coke to it, and sat down at the window to enjoy the scene of the aloof and the pretentious walking down Beverly Drive. Side notes: Unlike many Yelpers, I did get good customer service. I also saw that they have pics of those who ordered the XXXL (1.5 pounds!) and finished it, I'll need to try that next time. Was that Jay Leno I saw on the Wall Of Fame for eating that XXXL? My meal was okay. The onion rings were better than average. But if I had to do it again, I wouldn't get the chili. It smothered the patty until I could barely taste the beef. They have three flavors of Tabasco sauce to use if you wish, and the regular Tabasco did help. Oh well, live and learn. In-n-Out, also an LA native, is superior to Fatburger in my opinion. Not that Fatburger is all that bad. I guess you just need to try different combinations to see what works for you.

Crispy chicken sandwiches and cajun skinny fries
Katrina F.

My family and I got a little hungry after walking around the area for a bit, so we decided to stop by here. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their food. I got a crispy chicken sandwich and cajun fries. The sandwich was good, nothing to get too excited over, but the cajun fries were absolutely amazing. Their service was also fast and efficient. No complaints here!

Fat burger half skinny half fat fries combo choice so why pick one when both is an option??
J. L.

INSIDERS TIP:if new to Fat Burger know you can ask for half skinny half fat fries!! This location is dope and the music tends to be good in a true LA feel as if at a local barbecue and that has a lot to do with the staff there who try to be as clean and fun to be around as possible and do a nice job so please remember to tip them as not enough customers do on burgers and such locally. I would give 5 stars but have not seen their back areas like the freezer etc. I get the turkey burger well done with extra seasoning.

The sandwiches are **made fresh and to order**, with a great variety of combinations--and the best part is that you can customize and substitute ingredients to your heart's content. And those spreads! They have so many good ones, but I'm especially obsessed with the **truffle and mushroom sauce**. We went with **fresh prosciutto**, which paired beautifully with fresh mozzarella, truffle cream, and a little fresh arugula for that subtle peppery/spicy kick. Everything was piled onto their freshly baked bread, and let's just say this is **not a shy sandwich**. The service was friendly, and I really appreciated that they let you **sample different cold cuts and spreads** if you're not sure what you want or haven't tried something before. No need to commit to a mystery meat and hope for the best. The setting is very casual--more of a deli-style café with counters and small seating areas. Nothing fancy, but honestly, when the sandwich is this good, the bread is doing all the decorating. We're not particularly big eaters, so we split one sandwich in half... and STILL had another half to take home. If you're a big eater, this is one **generously stuffed, fresh-baked sandwich** that could keep your mouth, stomach, and general happiness occupied for the rest of the day. So glad I **accidentally stumbled upon this delicious place**! Sometimes the best food discoveries happen when you have absolutely no idea where you're going.

This focaccia-ciabatta pop-up comes from the minds of the now-shuttered Michelin-starred French restaurant Trois Mec. Their mozzarella sandwich drew buzz from the Los Angeles Times even before Bread Head established their first brick-and-mortar location on Montana in 2024. The Santa Monica location is posted up on a boutique-y block of Montana. Outside, metal patio furniture is arranged on a semi-enclosed slatted streatery. Circumferential windows let plenty of light into the industrial-modern space. The left wall is decorated with an eclectic array of vintage posters, funny photographs, and framed accolades. Filamented bulbs hang from the ceiling. The letter board menu is displayed above the ordering counter in the back. Low-key instrumental tunes blend with chatter, while staff members intermittently shout out names for orders. I visited Bread Head for weekend lunch with a few friends, and the line to order was relatively short (it waxed and waned across our visit, occasionally stretching around the restaurant to the door). We squeezed into the last available seats at a communal bar top, and our sandwiches were prepared in about 15 minutes. Broadly, the mound of toppings on each sandwich was precariously perched on Bread Head's thick, poofy, not-overly-oily focaccia. The sauces and spreads were plentiful and generally vibrant, so we didn't end up needing the side of "Club Sauce" (a zingy pepperoncini-horseradish mayo). Our favorite sando was the Muffuletta, sporting an herbaceous and tangy olive tapenade. A close second was the vegetarian-friendly Mozzarella, paired with plentiful alfalfa sprouts and a rich, zingy za'atar sauce. Also solid was the Turkey Pesto with its uber-fresh basil-forward spread. The surprising dud of the lot was the Combo Grinder, which tasted too one-dimensionally like a grocery store hoagie. The sandwiches run about ~$15 each, and a moderate appetite should be able to tackle a whole one. Even our "worst" sandwich was solid; the best ones are crave-worthy meals worth a dedicated drive to the West Side.

The bread was crunchy, arugula fresh, and the pesto mayonnaise was great. However, it almost felt a little....underseasoned? I wish it had a bit more of a punch to it. You do get a good amount of food for what you're paying for, but personally, I'd rather go to All'Antico Vinaio in Venice and get a sandwich that costs a little bit more, but you get more food and a better seasoning. I'd go here again if I was in a pinch, but personally wouldn't try again.
