i loved the sea salt matcha - the sea salt cold foam was decadent, creamy, sweet, and salty without overpowering the matcha flavor which i appreciated! It was busy but staff was still pretty fast and friendly. A small shop with limited bar seating. A bit on the pricier side for a small drink!
Pretty solid matcha and closeby a lot of great restaurants! I got the ube matcha and it was a tad bit grainy. I did really enjoy the ube flavor and thought it balanced the tea out well. There's a good amount of seating inside
Unfortunately, unimpressed. I heard so much about this place and was very excited to check it out. I got the Vietnamese coffee (Fat Milk Signature) and it tasted very very watered down. I'm not sure if it's because it's more tailored to American taste, but this is NOT authentic vietnamese coffee. Super aesthetic interior, merch, cups though. So def can see the hype
This place is so cute and they have so many speciality lattes which I love. I unfortunately did not like my drink because it seems they were out of dairy milk and I had to get my ube latte with oat milk.... Don't recommend that BUT they have a specialty carrot cake latte that I need to try hopefully soon! My friend loved her drink so might have just been mine - will definitely be back to try something else
Fat Milk Coffee is such a cute spot to stop by and grab some Matcha on a warm day. We tried the Ube Matcha and I can say for the first time trying Matcha, it was really really good. Very unique taste but with the added sweetness it gives the perfect balance! I recommend stoping by and grabbing you one and trying the other flavors they have to offer!
This is my first time trying this drink. The coffee tastes smooth. After placing the order, the drink came out pretty fast. There was two different size option and I opted for a larger size. I got the phin late, almond milk with hazelnut syrup.
Lots of cool drinks and interesting foam combos. I tried ube matcha latte which was solid. Cute ambience.
Came here after reading a story about the owner and the coffee shop on the way to the airport. Sumer yummy coffee and great customer service! The sea salt foam iced coffee was just the right amount of salt and foam. It wasn't as strong as the signature but both were delicious! The store was a little steamy... perhaps the AC wasn't working great. It's not a place where you can hang out long. Only seating is along the window which without good AC wasn't trapping a lot of heat.
We went into FatMilk on a random Wednesday afternoon because I was having a craving for Vietnamese coffee. I am not a big coffee drinker in general but there's something very palatable about the creaminess of traditional Vietnamese coffee and the sweetness of condensed milk. FatMilk delivered-- I decided on the classic, my husband went with the one with egg cream we both enjoyed. Not in the mood for a traditional Vietnamese coffee you're in luck they have a full menu of other beverages. Service was friendly and accommodating. I asked for a little extra condensed milk, only problem is since it isn't shaken just stirred there was a good chunk stuck at the bottom. We went in the afternoon so it wasn't busy, so I don't know if this is common but there weren't any fun pastries or anything to accompany our tasty coffees. That seems like a miss. There is seating, but it doesn't have a sit and linger coffeehouse vibe. If you're around argyle or anywhere within a 15min radius I'd recommend FatMilk for your Vietnamese coffee needs

One of the most stunning coffee shops I've ever been to! It's a bit small for wanting to study and such but for a quick grab or chat, it's perfect. I had the signature coffee which is SO strong, just like traditional Vietnamese coffee that I get at restaurants. My defense got a ube matcha and she raved that it wasn't too sweet or grainy which she liked. The staff were very kind and knowledgeable, open to answering any questions about the menu. Loved how aesthetically pleasing it was on top if it being an overall good cup of coffee!

Love this spot! Definitely one of my go-to coffee spots in the Uptown/Argyle area. It's the perfect place to go to for a morning coffee before heading to the Lakefront trail or for an afternoon pick-me-up after lunch in the area. My favorite is definitely the Fat Milk Signature. This drink has a strong coffee flavor with a light sweetness from the sweetened condensed milk. Another go-to is the Sea Salt Iced Coffee, if you like your coffee on the less sweeter side. I've heard great things about their matcha drinks though have yet to give these a try. The staff is really lovely and knowledgeable about their drinks. Service is quite quick and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for my drink! The only downside is that there is not a lot of great seating areas. They have one counter height area with a few chairs that you could sit at, but not really a "sit down with a friend for coffee" type of place. For me, it's definitely more a grab-and-go! read more
We wanted to try fat milk since we had been seeing some interesting coffee combinations on insta from here. The ambience is simple and the seating is limited. The location is great tho, it's right by the argyle red line station and right in the heart of uptown. We tried the ube latte, ube matcha and the egg foam latte. The uber latte and the egg foam latte were very delicious. The uber match latte was a bit of a letdown. They don't have any food options which was a bummer. Taking two stars off for the lack of seating and lack of food options. I don't know if I will be back. read more
Fat milk coffee was at the other art fair as a vendor. My boyfriend ordered an oat milk latte that was hot flavored with vanilla. And I ordered an oatmeal latte flavored with hazelnut. These coffees were so good! It tasted bold in flavor but not bitter it was really good. You don't really need to sweeten it. I did put one packet Splenda in mine because of how strong it was but as you drink it it's really good. I can't wait to try some more of their drinks. The service, the employee taking the orders at the booth a very rude with everyone placing orders. Their booth did have the longest line still no excuse to be rude. Everyone was patiently waiting in line from what I observed. The aesthetic of their booth was fairly cute. I did not like that they had the pastries uncovered. Anybody could've sneezed, spit, or coughed, and got germs all over the cookies and muffins. For next time they do need to cover that up or have it packaged separately. read more

Cute vibes. I got an iced latte with vanilla. Not too sweet which is good. However for a $7 small coffee, I'd hope it wouldn't be too groundy. So that's disappointing. read more

The Vietnamese iced coffee signature drink is really nice. The staff member is also super accommodating and kind too. Wifi and a restroom are available. There aren't tables, just a "bar" seating area by the windows - my only feedback is that I wish they had blinds or something because the sunlight was shining in very strong that morning I went. Overall, nice for a quick to-go coffee or a place to sit and chill at briefly. read more

Small Vietnamese coffee shop in the uptown neighborhood. The coffee and matcha were delicious!! Good service and nice space with some high counter seating facing the window. Would highly recommend checking this place out. Plenty of street parking in the area. read more

I'll admit up front that I'm not an expert or esteemed connoisseur of Vietnamese coffee, but I do think this place serves the best tasting versions of the drinks on their menu that I've ever had. The coffee is always perfectly strong and the flavors of every different latte options are just right. The staff are always very nice and service is efficient even when they're busy. And, while it has no bearing on how good their drinks are, I personally really like the modern decor and their branding. As much as the name "fatmilk" feels icky to say, I love popping in here to satiate a caffeine craving or get a little treat for myself on my lunch break. I just placed an order online for some of their ground coffee - but that won't stop me from coming by for an ube latte! read more
I had not had Vietnamese Coffee before and since I first tried it a few weeks ago, I have already been back twice. its a cute little shop located off Broadway, and when I say little, the interior is very small. There is a bar with stools in the back of the place but that is about it when it comes to seating. Each time I have gotten Traditional Vietnamese Coffee iced and loved it every time. The consistency, and quality of the drink makes it addicting. I can appreciate they don't make the drink very sweet, so the quality of the coffee shines. My girlfriend has been getting the Matcha's with Almond milk and they have a high quality Matcha powder they use. They also have baked good that rotate but I have yet to get one so I need to try those still. It is a bit pricey but on par with most coffee shops you'd go to in the city. read more
Ordered the fat milk signature and one of the espressos. Service was quick, interior looks cool, and barista was super nice. I have no baseline to compare this to for Vietnamese style coffee but it was pretty good but a bit expensive. Overall happy that we tried it. They're doing a collaboration with an ice cream place throughout the summer which sounds intriguing. read more
The affogato here was incredible! Miso caramel with biscoff was such a great flavor combo! The ambiance is chic and cute and service was fast and friendly! Their coffee is such great quality! Can't wait to go back and try something different! The sitting area is a bit small, so just wish this was bigger! Defintely is pricey tho, we spent $8 on this small cup. read more

Very good!! I've tried a couple of other Vietnamese coffees around the city and I feel like this is my favorite so far!! Also they have happy hour from 1-3 so my drink was only $3!!!! read more
I was so excited to try fat milk as I've had their coffee during a pop up at sawada. We got the traditional viet coffee and it did not disappoint! Rich coffee flavor with well balanced sweet level. Although it is a little pricy for the size but it was definitely worth the visit. read more

TOO EXPENSIVE! The sizing of the cups are off. I ordered a large, the cup seemed more of a small. What I found annoying was the Person taking the payment telling the barista to "add more ice". The coffee was good but nothing great. The aesthetics of the place is beautiful, Probably will only return if a friend wants to try it out. read more

The coffee is super duper strong. I literally have a headache after taking a sip of this. Not recommended for people who easily get drunk by caffeine. The matcha is pretty good, I enjoy the bitterness and grassy taste. There're limited seating in the area though. read more
