Love this spot! Definitely one of my go-to coffee spots in the Uptown/Argyle area. It's the perfect place to go to for a morning coffee before heading to the Lakefront trail or for an afternoon pick-me-up after lunch in the area. My favorite is definitely the Fat Milk Signature. This drink has a strong coffee flavor with a light sweetness from the sweetened condensed milk. Another go-to is the Sea Salt Iced Coffee, if you like your coffee on the less sweeter side. I've heard great things about their matcha drinks though have yet to give these a try. The staff is really lovely and knowledgeable about their drinks. Service is quite quick and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for my drink! The only downside is that there is not a lot of great seating areas. They have one counter height area with a few chairs that you could sit at, but not really a "sit down with a friend for coffee" type of place. For me, it's definitely more a grab-and-go! read more

We wanted to try fat milk since we had been seeing some interesting coffee combinations on insta from here. The ambience is simple and the seating is limited. The location is great tho, it's right by the argyle red line station and right in the heart of uptown. We tried the ube latte, ube matcha and the egg foam latte. The uber latte and the egg foam latte were very delicious. The uber match latte was a bit of a letdown. They don't have any food options which was a bummer. Fat milk coffee was at the other art fair as a vendor. My boyfriend ordered an oat milk latte that was hot flavored with vanilla. And I ordered an oatmeal latte flavored with hazelnut. These coffees were so good! It tasted bold in flavor but not bitter it was really good. You don't really need to sweeten it. I did put one packet Splenda in mine because of how strong it was but as you drink it it's really good. I can't wait to try some more of their drinks. The service, the employee taking the orders at the booth a very rude with everyone placing orders. Their booth did have the longest line still no excuse to be rude. Everyone was patiently waiting in line from what I observed. The aesthetic of their booth was fairly cute. I did not like that they had the pastries uncovered. Anybody could've sneezed, spit, or coughed, and got germs all over the cookies and muffins. For next time they do need to cover that up or have it packaged separately. read more

This place is so cute and they have so many speciality lattes which I love. I unfortunately did not like my drink because it seems they were out of dairy milk and I had to get my ube latte with oat milk.... Came here after reading a story about the owner and the coffee shop on the way to the airport. Sumer yummy coffee and great customer service! The sea salt foam iced coffee was just the right amount of salt and foam. It wasn't as strong as the signature but both were delicious! The store was a little steamy... perhaps the AC wasn't working great. It's not a place where you can hang out long. We went into FatMilk on a random Wednesday afternoon because I was having a craving for Vietnamese coffee. I am not a big coffee drinker in general but there's something very palatable about the creaminess of traditional Vietnamese coffee and the sweetness of condensed milk. FatMilk delivered-- I decided on the classic, my husband went with the one with egg cream we both enjoyed. Not in the mood for a traditional Vietnamese coffee you're in luck they have a full menu of other beverages. Service was friendly and accommodating. I asked for a little extra condensed milk, only problem is since it isn't shaken just stirred there was a good chunk stuck at the bottom. We went in the afternoon so it wasn't busy, so I don't know if this is common but there weren't any fun pastries or anything to accompany our tasty coffees. That seems like a miss. There is seating, but it doesn't have a sit and linger coffeehouse vibe. If you're around argyle or anywhere within a 15min radius I'd recommend FatMilk for your Vietnamese coffee needs read more

One of the most stunning coffee shops I've ever been to! It's a bit small for wanting to study and such but for a quick grab or chat, it's perfect. I had the signature coffee which is SO strong, just like traditional Vietnamese coffee that I get at restaurants. I'll admit up front that I'm not an expert or esteemed connoisseur of Vietnamese coffee, but I do think this place serves the best tasting versions of the drinks on their menu that I've ever had. The coffee is always perfectly strong and the flavors of every different latte options are just right. The staff are always very nice and service is efficient even when they're busy. And, while it has no bearing on how good their drinks are, I personally really like the modern decor and their branding. As much as the name "fatmilk" feels icky to say, I love popping in here to satiate a caffeine craving or get a little treat for myself on my lunch break. I had not had Vietnamese Coffee before and since I first tried it a few weeks ago, I have already been back twice. its a cute little shop located off Broadway, and when I say little, the interior is very small. There is a bar with stools in the back of the place but that is about it when it comes to seating. Each time I have gotten Traditional Vietnamese Coffee iced and loved it every time. The consistency, and quality of the drink makes it addicting. I can appreciate they don't make the drink very sweet, so the quality of the coffee shines. My girlfriend has been getting the Matcha's with Almond milk and they have a high quality Matcha powder they use. They also have baked good that rotate but I have yet to get one so I need to try those still. It is a bit pricey but on par with most coffee shops you'd go to in the city. read more

They should call this place 'Fat Rip Off'. If you want extra cream in your drink it's $1!! Otherwise it's like drinking an $8 small sized black coffee. Also, it reeks inside. The service was terrible too; the girl at the register chatted with her friend for 5 min before acknowledging us and had a bad attitude. Also, I saw on TikTok that they had ube drinks- no.
