We had difficulty navigating the one way streets and finding parking, but it is worth it. It almost feels like a club with the bumping music and aesthetic, but the service is outstanding and the food delectable! Almost every dish comes with a pancake and potatoes, and you really have to save room for that pancake!

An amazing breakfast spot. The reviews were spot on. I must try is the Dutch Baby Pancake. Everything was fresh and really delicious. Very good service as well.

This is our fourth time eating here at the fat cat, and as always the food is absolutely delicious., Our waiter Abraham is absolutely awesome. If you're down here, I highly recommend you stop at the fat cat and get filled up!

so people usually take a photo before they eat but let's just say there's exceptions in life. I ordered the Louisiana and this meal is bigger than the state itself. Pancake, potato's, biscuits and gravy for DAYS. No matter how hungry you think you are this meal will humble you with the freshest and most vibrant flavors I've had. On top of the amazing food, they have the most catering staff. Abraham made the best recommendations and was extremely helpful. Definitely worth every moment!

Fluffy omelette with ham and home potatoes. Very good!

Julio, our server, was amazing and made sure our entire experience was nothing short of a 10-star visit. The staff was also very accommodating and willing to customize dishes based on personal preferences, which made the experience even better. I've never had a bruschetta appetizer this delicious -- and that says a lot because I've dined at many great restaurants throughout California. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rosarito!

We were instantly transported to a quaint, picturesque location that embodies everything California cuisine has to offer. The restaurant design is both comfortable and inviting. The food was delightfully fresh, prepared with love and respect for the "farm to table" legacy. We had the most exquisite combination of protein and pasta, then finished with the richest bread pudding; one could taste the wholesomeness of the spices and butter, as the ingredients have not been modified since 11th-century England. Aside from enjoying over two decades of crafted gastronomic experiences, we left with the promise to return promptly, as one visit could not fully explore the incredible menu and genuine hospitality.

You may wonder why I would visit an American-themed restaurant in Mexico. Since I was here last, Rosarito has embraced a more eclectic approach to restaurants, so why not? Besides, my cousin--who lives in Rosarito--said Betty's was a must, so there you go. It usually takes me only one visit--one bite, actually--to sum up a place and their cuisine. That may sound snobbish; well, yes, it is. Those who have followed me on Yelp over the past years know my credentials, so suffice it to say that I know food in and out and love everything from the most humble street food to haute cuisine. But before I took a bite of the food, what set this place in my stellar region were the owner and chef: Dante (front of the house) and his wife Stephanie (chef--and yes, I use the term chef as she's no mere burger-flipper). Dante went to great pains to explain how they source their ingredients and that many of them are made in-house--getting rarer every day, unfortunately. The exterior and interior would win no House Beautiful contest, but with food like this, who cares? My cousin and I got the Deli Burger with pastrami that actually would stand on its own. The beef was cooked spot-on with the accompanying ingredients bringing it together into a perfect whole. We got fries and onion rings; both were way above average and with a knock-your-socks-off horseradish sauce to dunk them in, I couldn't have been happier. But what truly sets Betty's apart is they sincerely care about their food and their customers. Let me repeat that--THEY CARE! Many restaurants have lost that but not here. So, if you come to Rosarito and don't stop by Betty's, your trip just won't be complete. And you don't have to take just my word for it--from the multitude of five-star reviews, it's obvious many, many others feel the same way.

I always get the mushrooms with a side of tortillas and just make my own little mushroom burrito. Do it as an appetizer, you won't regret it. We went for Mother's Day and it was beyond the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Our server Blanco was fine and did his best, but the food was absolutely terrible. Dry meat, dry and flavorless chicken, thick chewy machaca, and a salmon that was supposed to be grilled came out drowning in grease. Even the dishes looked dirty. We spoke to the manager Oscar, hoping something would be done, but he was completely dismissive. Just the typical apology and nothing else. This place used to mean something to our family and we even had a close relationship with the owners, but ever since the previous manager passed away, this restaurant has turned into a tourist trap. The quality has completely fallen apart while the prices keep going up. Extremely expensive for mediocre food and poor management. There are so many better places to spend your money now. Sadly, El Nido is not what it used to be, and after this experience we will never return or recommend it to friends or visitors again
