The address took us on a dirt road. We asked locals about the restaurant and they said that the restaurant had closed a year ago. Note that the directions are wrong.

Absolutely fantastic French cafe. Located directly across from the Las Gaviotas. Open from 830a - 300p. This well priced cafe is decorated like a cozy home but does has limited seating, but you can probably order to go as well. Some may say the portions are a little small, but I think it's just a culinary reminder to savor your food. I was more than satisfied with my Quiche Lorraine. Everything was fresh and well prepared. This will be a now regular spot for me.

I've been staying directly across the street in Las Gaviotas this whole week and am so sad that I just discovered this gem! The service was absolutely amazing. Everyone here is so friendly and can communicate in English, Spanish, & French! The sweet owners were both there and were going up to each table explaining the menu items in detail- every single thing they have sounded amazing! They came around with a basket of homemade biscuits accompanied by a plate of butter and the most delicious marmalade which had to have been made from scratch as well. I wanted to eat the whole basket! My boyfriend and I both ordered the Pizounette which was explained as their most Mexican breakfast. It was a warm, crispy flour tortilla topped with a chipotle sauce, grilled vegetables, and two sunny side up eggs (I got mine scrambled which was phenomenal as well). Best meal I've had in Mexico! Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Such an awesome spot for a French breakfast! The food was simple, straightforward, and classic. I got the quiche and it was flavorful, rich, and satisfying. The crust was flakey and buttery without being too oily. It's the kind of food that you can taste the effort and meticulous preparation. The food was homemade and truly elegant in its simplicity. The coffee, bread, jam, and butter were all top-notch. A great spot for breakfast to get the day started! The restaurant was quaint and charming. Service was friendly and comforting. French bfast done well? Sign me up! Cliffs: awesome spot for a simple but great french breakfast!

Dope little brunch spot across street of Los Gaviotas(not directly across). Very boutique feel, kinda hipster-ish. Food is fire, I had the Scrambles Eggs with Salmon and Blue berries. Egg are fluffy and light. My fiancé had the Omelette El Gusto, tons of flavor infused in that sucker. Best part had to be the jam they use with the bread, it's like guava styled jam.

Excellent food. Very small inside so we ate outside. Service was fine. Friendly staff. I wouldn't be as hard on them as the other reviewer. Vegetables were well prepared with light roasting and a drizzle of pesto sauce. The scrambled eggs were "wet" in the French style so you may want to request them "over-cooked" if that is your preference. I like them "wet". Salmon was not overly smoked which could have spoiled the dish. Definitely recommend this place if you are not in hurry.

This place is heavenly! Owner Agnes is French and a great chef! If you love French or any gourmet cuisine you're in for a treat! Super fresh ingredients prepared and presented with attention to detail and the taste? C'est Magnifique! Must try! Yum!

My favorite breakfast spot in Baja! In addition to the quiche, croque Madame, etc the chicken pot pie is divine and one of my favorites. The place is extremely small so I have left a few times if it's crowded and no seats available but I've also taken easy items to go such as the quiche and pot pie. Don't be discouraged if it's packed and you have to try another time/day...it's worth it!

This place is fantastic! We took our first trip to Mexico this month and were excited to try this place for breakfast. It's really cutely decorated. The food was amazing! My husband had the Vegetarian Quiche and I had the salmon omelette. Both of these dishes were top notch. You also get two biscuits and house made jam which is also so delicious! This place is a must try if you are in Rosarito. Side note: the pottery store to the left of Bleu Galley with lots of bright blue pottery has some unique stuff. It's a family run business over generations and really reasonable pricing for handmade stuff. The owner was very friendly.

I told myself if I'm ever in the area again, I have to make an effort to eat at this place. Well, the opportunity arose as I was staying at a nearby winery. The biggest problem I encountered was finding a ride to get to this restaurant. Taxis are nonexistent in the area. Ubers are only in the area when someone from Ensenada requests a round trip to the area, so no they are not available to others. Therefore, I expressed my frustration with the front desk at my winery hotel and they took on the task of finding me private transportation. About 40 minutes later, they called my room to inform me that they located a driver. Unfortunately, he requested an inflated price for the to and from the restaurant. Private drivers down here know that you have few choices, therefore, they can ask inflated prices. Yes, I was in a pickle, but I really wanted to go. I did not rent a car because many of the roads hug cliffs and everyone drives fast, because they know where all of the mountain curves are. Being from Chicago, where we also drive fast but don't have mountain cliff roads decided to play it safe and let others do the driving for me. Anyhow, I debated, and in the end agreed to the expensive terms because when I going to get the opportunity again to eat at a place rated best breakfast in the world? How was the breakfast? It was absolutely delicious, everything was made from scratch. I ordered the cafe de la olla which interprets into coffee from the pot because typically it is prepared with raw sugar (piloncillo), canella (cinnamon sticks), and orange zest. How was the coffee? Delicious. I had some machaca (small bits of dried beef) with eggs which came with delicious refried beans. I also ordered the excellent chilaquiles with an egg and a side of bacon. I also needed to order the one thing most talk about on their menu which is the corn bread pancakes. They used the recipe for a typical corn bread sold down here called pan de elote to make the pancakes, and yes, they were excellent. Turning the batter from this recipe into pancakes was a brilliant idea. Also, I cannot leave out the great tasting freshly made corn tortillas that came with the food. The tortillas down here taste different from the ones back in Chicago because down here a white heirloom corn is utilized rather than the sweet yellow dent corn from the Midwest. Was it the best breakfast that I have ever had in Mexico, or anywhere else for that matter? Well, it definitely lived up to the hype the breakfast was amazing and I do highly recommend it. If you do decide to visit, my best advice is show up early because a line forms very early. I have been lucky to have also had other amazing breakfasts in Mexico and other places in my travels. The secret to this restaurant sits right behind it. On the restaurant grounds is an active ranch, which also doubles as a small zoo, where they source their milk and meats from. Yes, they raise their own animals which later become items on the menu. Does that fresh matter? Yes, it absolutely does make all of the difference. Does it sound cruel? Well, that is a whole other conversation. Let's just say the animals are treated humanely. All of the livestock looked happy as they roamed around the grounds. Unlike the way livestock is treated inhumanly in the United States in dirty overcrowded housing where some never get to see the sun or roam freely in the open air. Livestock in the US are constantly given antibiotics and growth hormones, also fed gmo feed with questionable health implications for those that consume them.

I politely pointed it out to our server, Daniel, expecting it to be corrected. Instead, he casually dismissed it and said, "It's only 100 pesos more," which I found unprofessional and disrespectful. It's not about the amount it's about accuracy and customer service. Because of this interaction, I decided to remove the $20 tip I had initially left. When I did, he took the receipt to his manager and claimed that I hadn't tipped at all. I explained the situation, but he responded with a smirk, which felt mocking and made the situation even more uncomfortable. Additionally, the service overall was slow. We asked for water multiple times before ordering, during the meal, and even after finishing and it still took a long time for it to arrive. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression, despite the setting. I hope management takes this kind of behavior seriously and works on improving both service quality and professionalism.
