We had naked wings w/ sauces on the side, our sauces were the parm/garlic(did not like that one) the ranch was yummy, the mango habanero was on the spicy side and we also got the Korean spice one and that was yummy. It was like $24 for the wings and they don't really serve you there ( they take your order and then drop off your food and that's the full extent of the service. So we tipped $5.00 and on the receipt was actually a suggestion to raise our tip amount, like.... Really?? I felt 18% was fine for that level of interaction. Hubby and I went out to Fat Birds for lunch. We walk in with no waiting line. Took a little while for someone to come take our order (which we understand due to the helped wanted sign on the door) We were surprised at the cost of the wings pretty expensive for just two of us (+$40) Fries and a drink are separate and all we got was drinks. Hubby ordered the 5 spice and Cajun dry rub. I ordered the Seoul St and Garlic Parm sauced. We waited roughly 30 mins and finally got our wings. I have absolutely no complaints about this place. I entered during an evening rush, and my order was taken immediately. I sat down and waited for a friend to show up, who was already on his way. My food arrived before he did. I was impressed to say the least. One of the things that sets this place apart from other wing places is the pride they take in their presentation. The wings are neatly organized and garnished instead of just throwing them together in a bowl and tossing them on your plate. We had such a great experience here. Definitely does not feel like you're in midland. Full bar and plenty of options on the menu. All the sauces are house made and you can tell. We had lemon pepper wings, Buffalo (hot) and the Satay, which is a savory peanut sauce. Also a order of the sour cream and onion fries and the sweet Thai chili fries. Awesome stuff. Wings are great, best in town in my opinion. A few things keep me from returning though. First I have called in orders several times, the person can never hear me over the phone due to the fact music is blaring in the background. Every time upon arrival, there is only maybe one person there with music blaring right over the register but not in the rest of the place. I don't understand why they would put a speaker over the register, it is much quieter when you sit down at a table. Second, they have cici's style cups, so if you want normal size to go cups, or even a lid, you've come to the wrong place. Thirdly, how do you have a wing place with no napkins on the tables. Yes you heard right, NO NAPKINS ON TABLES. Absolutely insane. You must go grab them one at a time from a single napkin dispenser beside the coke machine. There is no way this manager has eaten wings before. Lastly, they serve ranch & blue cheese in small little cups not even big enough to dip any type of wing in. If you want to use it, you have to pour dipping sauce on your wings. P.s. you can probably get rid of the girl standing behind the bar hunched over on her phone for the entire time I was in the restaurant multiple times. read more
