This really isn't a bad idea; to have a convenience store passage in the small town of Beeville…read more I've done this passage a few times now, and I really have no complaints except for the last time I went. I desperately wanted a large fountain drink. And guess what? ( rhetorical question ) Their fountain drink machine was not working. How in the world can a fountain drink machine not be in function or use while business is open in the middle of hot hot summer? Especially if you're a passage store. That should be one of the main selling points about a passage in the middle of summer, right. Right? That actually puzzled me to he honest with you. Besides that one major flaw this store has up to this point. ( I hope that gets fixed soon ). It's not a bad place to grab something when you're sort of in a rush. The customer service from the attendants or employees isn't the best in town, but it's not bad either. Customer service is mediocre. It seems like the guys here have better customer service than the ladies. That is unfortunate, but I guess that is the way the cookie crumbles at this establishment. Once in a while I will purchase something here from time to time. Beeville used to have a few places like this when I was growing up, with that being said, I am in favor of having a passage in Beeville. I personally would recommend this place if you're in a rush to grab something fast and when time just isn't in your favor at the moment. It's also a good experience if you have never done.

We had been told 1 tire was shredding but the other 2 places didn't have our tires in stock and didn't offer any help other than saying where else we could drive to and try to find one. Carlos Garcia, the owner, didn't have our tires in stock and checked a place in Corpus Christi. His nephew had just been in Corpus all day for college and he had him turn around and head back to get us the tires and make sure we could get back on the road safely. Carlos even made sure we had a safe comfortable place to wait, food, drinks, restroom, everything. He drove us to and from a nearby restaurant himself and introduced us to his family and workers. When we got back, we relaxed in a comfortable waiting area and they made sure to stay late to get our tires on for us. Such a great group of people with an awesome leader--so blessed to have had their help! They truly made our day, month and year by going out of their way to help and Carlos got us good tires at a good price. Awesome service, nice place, and product!

Driving back from Corpus to Austin, we found this gem half way for a dinner break and WOW it was…read moreamazing! As a New Yorker I have missed good Italian while living in Austin. Every Italian place I have tried in Austin is a total ripoff - extremely overpriced and low quality. This place was the total opposite of every Italian restaurant I've been to in Austin - it was amazing! I immediately felt like I was back in NY. They were so friendly and gave us warm garlic butter rolls and water the second we sat down. It was the biggest menu - I wanted everything! It was so difficult to choose as I don't see even 1/4 of these options in Austin! I finally decided on the spaghetti and eggplant parm. But how I wish I could also get the baked ziti, the meat sauce, the lasagne, the subs, the calzones and the pizza too as everything looked amazing! The portions were massive - enough for 2-3 meals! Plus you get free salad and bread. And when we were done they offered us even more rolls to take home! Took 10 rolls home plus leftover salad and pasta. It was absolutely delicious, so satisfying. The best comfort food for a Sunday night meal. We paid $40 total for a massive meal that would have easily cost $75 in Austin and been 1/2 the size! Wish I could go back again and again if it wasn't 2 hours away!

Inedible. It tastes like a boiled chicken breast. No flavor, texture like rubber. I've tried it several times. It is not good. My daughter likes to get the baked ziti... she really likes it, but often has to take off almost a pound of cheese before she can eat it. There is such a thing as too much cheese. I have heard the owner yell harshly at the weight staff and don't really understand why anybody would work for somebody that screams at them the way he does. Roma's has the potential to be amazing but I feel like the owner is holding himself back. Also, the prices are a little high. If I could sit down and have a frank conversation with the owner, I would suggest dropping the price by a few dollars and cutting the portions in half. I'd come more often if the prices were lower, even if I got less food.

Total Wine _ Totally Awesome…read more I want to take a moment to share my heartfelt gratitude to Front End Supervisor Lori and Total Wine Associate Chris for making such a special time in my life even more memorable. As I was preparing for my upcoming wedding, I wasn't very familiar with spirits or selection, but Lori and Chris went above and beyond to guide me through the process. What truly touched me was the warmth they brought to the experience. On my second visit, Lori greeted me with the most genuine hug, something the extrovert in me absolutely loved and as stressful as this planning was, I needed it. She reassured me that she was there to support both my fiancé and me every step of the way. With their thoughtful recommendations and even spirit tastings, what could have been stressful turned into something seamless and joyful. I am deeply grateful for their kindness, patience, and care. They didn't just help me pick out drinks, they made me feel celebrated. Highly Recommended~

The highlight of that customer service was a visit with one of the Bourbon reps. Preparing for the upcoming holiday season I wanted to get the ingredients to make classic cocktails. I've been a long time customer to this establishment and enjoyed cocktails, (no longer an option…read morehere), exceptional beer , really good wings and pizza. Recently the waiters were all changed and cocktail service ended. We've been loyal customers so we decided to give the new crew the benefit of the doubt. We decided to grab some beers and watch the end of the Spurs game. The Brewery closes at 11:00, a waiter 5 minutes earlier closed our ticket courteously because they were closing. At 10:59 an employee, supposedly a manager, behind the bar, not assisting with any closing duties, rudely said in a loud voice " We're closing and shutting off the TV" Before that was said there was 50 seconds left in the game and we were putting on our coats. I said in response "this place sure has changed." Last time I encountered such rudeness was at the restaurant Ocho, also near the Riverwalk. They are now out of business. We will not be returning, sometime in the future we will look in to see if this person is still working here (though we have not seen her do much working besides lurk behind the bar and the ladies room door. Customer service is one of foundations of of any good business, hopefully this establishment will return to it's previous standards.

Our friend group included some dietary restrictions like gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian. Everyone was able to find something delicious to eat and drink here. We got breakfast from Naco Grayson. I ordered a bean and cheese taco on corn and it was so good, I wish I had gone back and ordered another one. They put a layer of crusted cheese on the tortilla and slather on the beans and then put another layer of cheese on top. My friend ordered the concha french toast and he said it was delicious. It looked amazing! The chilaquiles here are also very tasty. Drippy's coffee is at this space and it's one of my favorite coffee trucks in SA. The owners are incredibly nice, welcoming, and warm. They really make you feel like old pals. I ordered a hot mocha latte and it was the perfect complement to my breakfast taco. We were also able to do a bit of shopping at Bexar Goods here and my husband bought a typewriter - so cool! I'm so glad SA Yacht Club opened near me! I hope to take more friends here soon! I do wish they had more umbrella coverage for that hot summer sun, but we went pretty early on a cloudy day, so not too bad, but I imagine it could become unbearable on a sunny day.
