This place was horrible as I ordered eggplant parm and received spaghetti and artichcok that was terrible. Tried to explain this to the waitress and it was like speaking to a deer in the headlights. Asked to speak with the manager, who happened to be the owner and he stated he was too busy to speak with me. I almost fell out of my chair when I was told this, unreal!!! I guess this individual is from Eastern Europe and this is the way customers are treated there being I have been to this part of the world. Driving back from Corpus to Austin, we found this gem half way for a dinner break and WOW it was amazing! As a New Yorker I have missed good Italian while living in Austin. Every Italian place I have tried in Austin is a total ripoff - extremely overpriced and low quality. This place was the total opposite of every Italian restaurant I've been to in Austin - it was amazing! I immediately felt like I was back in NY. They were so friendly and gave us warm garlic butter rolls and water the second we sat down. It was the biggest menu - I wanted everything! It was so difficult to choose as I don't see even 1/4 of these options in Austin! I finally decided on the spaghetti and eggplant parm. But how I wish I could also get the baked ziti, the meat sauce, the lasagne, the subs, the calzones and the pizza too as everything looked amazing! The portions were massive - enough for 2-3 meals! Plus you get free salad and bread. And when we were done they offered us even more rolls to take home! Took 10 rolls home plus leftover salad and pasta. It was absolutely delicious, so satisfying. The best comfort food for a Sunday night meal. We paid $40 total for a massive meal that would have easily cost $75 in Austin and been 1/2 the size! Roma's has amazing lasagna and pizza. Their Alfredo sauce is great as well, however, I wish they offered a no meat version of anything with the white Alfredo sauce. The chicken is horrible. Inedible. It tastes like a boiled chicken breast. No flavor, texture like rubber. I've tried it several times. It is not good. My daughter likes to get the baked ziti... she really likes it, but often has to take off almost a pound of cheese before she can eat it. There is such a thing as too much cheese. I have heard the owner yell harshly at the weight staff and don't really understand why anybody would work for somebody that screams at them the way he does. Roma's has the potential to be amazing but I feel like the owner is holding himself back. Also, the prices are a little high. If I could sit down and have a frank conversation with the owner, I would suggest dropping the price by a few dollars and cutting the portions in half. I'd come more often if the prices were lower, even if I got less food. read more

The service was great! Restaurant fairly clean. Not fancy but comfortable. They brought free bread to the table with these good sized bowls-full of heaps of spicy garlic and oil for dipping. I only had a small amount of this. It was ok but it stayed with me for days! I ordered the trio plate. This could have fed 4 large men! Lasagne, chicken parm and fettuccine Alfredo. The majority of the plate was fettuccine. The Alfredo tasted like flour. It was a béchamel sauce without flavor! No Parmesan cheese, no herbs or spices and no flavor! The chicken parm was wafer thin and soggy. The lasagne was sub par. Only one layer of meat between two pieces of lasagne noodles and small. The best thing they did was cover the entire dish with mozzarella. Hahaha! I love cheese! But there was Wayyyyyy too much cheese! I wondered what they were trying to cover. We were hungry and looking for a place to eat and we saw that this little restaurant on yelp and thought we would give it a try. There was no one dinning in when we arrived so we got to pick our seating. The waitresses were very kind and the place was very clean. We ordered Shrimp calamari for an appetizer. It came out really fresh and tasted amazing! The bread rolls tasted homemade and were also delicious. The reason I gave this restaurant 3 stars is because the food was kind of bland and tasted like it was not made with fresh ingredients. The chicken Picata had too many capers and was over powering and hard to eat. The Cremora dinner dish and that dish was great! The chicken Parm was soggy and the marinara sauce needed a little seasoning. I wouldn't mind giving it a second chance when I come back to visit and try some pizza. read more

I have to rave about this hidden gem Italian restaurant in Beeville, Texas. Let me begin with the tantalizing aroma as I entered the restaurant. It totally excited my appetite. I ordered several items as I was placing a to go order for me and my family. 1st- I ordered the Chicken Milanese. It was spiced to perfection and large enough to feed 2+. 2nd- the calzone omg.. it was huge and stuffed with deliciousness. 3rd- the Philadelphia cheesesteak melted in my mouth. Finally, the homemade rolls.. oh so sinfully buttered and topped with garlic/parmesan. Wow!!! Roma's Italian Restaurant by far is the best tasting Italian food I've ever had! Absolutely delicious . It is as good as advertised. The mushroom tortellini was great and the kids said the cheese ravioli was great.

We showed up 10 mins before closing. The waitress was so friendly and the food was amazing. Very large portions and great prices.

Delicious Italian food! We love the new location! They did such a great job decorating! We ate there most recently for Valentine's Day! The Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo is out of this world! The shrimp are so fresh and perfectly prepared! The servings are so generous! I also love the spaghetti and meatballs. The marinara sauce is very tasty! My husband loves the lobster ravioli with the pink sauce! Their pizzas are great too! I saved the best to mention for last, the delicious homemade bread. We always get the Alfredo sauce to dip the bread in! Sooo good! I must say the service has improved tremendously since moving to the new location! Jennifer is always so welcoming! I've had nothing but exceptional experiences with anything we've ordered from here! My son and I both LOVE the Linguini Carbonara, the salads are always fresh and I prefer them over any other salad anywhere. The Veal Marsala is excellent, the Veal Parmesan Sub and Margarita Pizza are also delicious. Going to go with the Salmon Florentine next time. If you live out of town I highly recommend this Italian restaurant which in my opinion has the most AUTHENTIC Italian food and if you live in town you should definitely give them a try! The manager CUSSED me in front of my young child and young nieces! Tried this place today...Myself and my party of 3 other adults and 3 children. Sat down and noticed the table behind us has food on it but noone was seated there (the food remained there until we left about an hr after arriving, gnats started appearing more and more the longer we sat). It wasn't busy when we arrived, and stayed slow throughout our meal. The service was terrible! The waitress mentioned it was her second day so that is understandable but another, more experienced waitress should have been assisting (as it was so slow). I won't even elaborate on the service as it's not the kicker here.. We ordered a bottle of wine for us adults, to which a different waitress (who seemed to be more experienced) exclaimed "a whole bottle!" Which I found rude to say the least. A different waitress returned with the bottle (that we waited aprox. 15 minutes for) with no glasses. We requested glasses... twice. Finally someone in my party got up and requested glasses, she was handed 4. 4 absolutley FILTHY glasses. They had black grime lining the insides! I wiped one out just to be sure it wasn't a stain... it wasn't. I requested new glasses... she returned with the 4 same glasses (I could tell because of the different shapes). I requested to speak to the manager. The waitress returned to the kitchen. My husband's glass was still filthy, mine had some residue as well. She came back and asked for the glasses. I told her no, that we wanted to speak to the manager. When the manager came out he told me he washed the glasses himself and that they weren't dirty. I proceeded to wipe the glass in front of him and show him the BLACK residue on the napkin and he insisted it was clean. I told him that if he considered that clean that I wasn't going to eat my meal and that I wasn't going to pay for it. He asked me why and I told him if the glasses were so dirty I was worried about the cleanliness of the kitchen. He invited me to the kitchen to look. In his words "if you find my kitchen dirty I'll shut down now and never reopen!" *insert massive eyeroll here* I told him that I wasnt going to go to the kitchen and that I wasn't going to pay for the two entrees (we would have paid if he would have just accepted that the glasses were dirty and tried to correct it!) He said that was fine and then calmly followed it up with a "F*ck you. You leave and never come back to this place". He said we didnt have to pay for "none of this"... then we left. Initially we were pleased with the food and actually discussed returning the next week for lunch... but the combination of the bad service, dirty conditions, and absolutely abhorrent behavior of the "manager" we will never return. read more
