I wouldn't necessarily call this place a store but maybe I'm just missing the point of the place. It's a big metal barn with lots of farming stuff inside and a teeny tiny little section of delectable goodness. The man behind the counter was nice enough but the store itself isn't exactly what I'd say you go into to do some shopping. If you're there farming or industrial stuff then maybe it's the right place for you? Anyway, we did end up getting some peanut butter brittle and it was delectable. Hence the 4 stars. We didn't try anything else but we did buy my MIL some honey so they've got that, too. We didn't see any veggies for sale but I wasn't looking for it either. Didn't really know what to expect of the place since we were just out of out of towners visiting. read more

Good country people. They provide excellent skills in horse shoeing and at reasonable prices. The annual auctions are fun and the meals served generous and a very good price at the auction. They also provide good horse training. read more

I haven't been able to find the ACTUAL shop. I mean, I know where this family lives, I see their mailbox that says "Borntrager" off of 796 and I saw them out plowing one day... but I didn't want to drive onto their property. I still to this day have not found the actual store. I searched and searched AND SEARCHED for this place for literally MONTHS. Anyway, easier ways to find the family (because they make AMAZING products)... HEB in Mathis, Texas sells their honey. The family sells their products (honey, baked goods, almond honey soap) at the Farmer's Market in Beeville on main street. The market is open from 9-12. I've also seen them (occasionally) selling products on roadside stands. read more

I was fortunate in attending the annual auction held the first week in November, and hope to attend it again this year. Bought eggs, honey and vegetables at the store. Everyone was very friendly and the auction was great fun. The food was superb! They served lunch as well as other refreshments all day. Best pecan pie I have ever tasted. Recently, the family contacted me again to consign antiques to the 2014 sale. Greatly looking forward to spending the entire day at their auction. read more

I have had no problem finding their store. It is a store. They have baked goods on Friday. They sell chaffehaye and Nutrena feed as well as horse buggies and various other farm stuffs. They do close for lunch. read more
