Don't ever go in here expecting courtesy or even basic service when they're busy the lady behind the counter was one of the worst public facing employees I've ever encountered in Austin in 12 years. She made it clear that she was busy in the back and I was disrupting her flow in five different ways. I kept asking if I did something wrong and she kept saying no but then would keep being offensive, hostile and verbally abrasive as hell. Finally I simply asked for her manager. I will NEVER get anything framed or spend another red cent here. My first order was a mounting flat order; the second I was ready to put in a framing order that would have been very pricey--maybe I would have had better service had I reversed the order sequencing and gave them the big job first who knows? I told the employee that I would fire her in a heartbeat if she worked for me talking to clients like she talked to me and to keep her personal issues at home and not to work because it was obvious her open hostility since the moment I stepped in the door was reaching a tipping point of origin just as mysterious as the treatment I was getting! Since I was at a loss to what I had done to set her off but she kept insisting I was not doing anything wrong yet she'd then take a verbal swipe at me right after saying I wasn't doing anything wrong I got so confused I finally asked is there something about my face you just don't like? (I'm not white presenting so i had to wonder as I was so completely flummoxed by her behavior!) I would not recommend this place you're better off going to a business that actually wants to be in the framing customer service industry not a default franchisee who hires questionabe people. read more

they were so accommodating and so fast! great work. I felt so comfortable w the customer service and our frame turned out perfect.

very friendly and expert service. I have used this location for years and have always been extremely pleased with the work.

Great, professional team. This is the 7th job we've brought to them and every time we've come away delighted by their good taste and judgement. read more

I had a very important poster I wanted to be framed. It meant an awful lot to me and wanted a good job doing for it. I went to one place and spent a long time being asked to select style, color and background. They asked me for far more money than I could afford. I went to Fast Frame next where I was greeted warmly. We discussed how much and was pleasantly surprised that they would do a fantastic job for half of what I was quoted at the other place. The other place said it would take a month to six weeks to complete. Fast Frame did it in two weeks and did an excellent job. read more

I have had multiple pieces framed here over the years and have always been pleased. They are great at helping pick out frames and matting as well as providing assistance in pulling lots of pieces together within the same room or wall. If there is something that isn't really in their wheelhouse, they are happy to help guide you to other solutions or venders. Highly recommend! read more

Very happy with the service for 4 prints I had to have frames, as well some diplomas I need removed from frames. They were friendly and efficient and had great recommendations. read more

This was my second time using Fastframe and I was just as satisfied the second time around! They were so helpful selecting the frames and matting for my Taylor Swift Eras Tour prints and a painting done by a local artist, and they did a beautiful job with all of them. I wanted to do something special for my Brother in-law a Vietnam vet. I found out what medals he was awarded from the Army. I brought them to FastFrame. With the help of Matthew we arranged the items for a shadowbox. I was going to Vegas with this to surprise Ray with it. It was not complete at the end of the workday on Saturday. I was flying out Sunday morning. Well Matthew and a woman worked late until it was finished. Thanks to them it turned out great. read more

We LOVE Fast Frame! They have been so friendly and awesome every time we come in to get something special framed!

I've been here a few times, this store is awesome. They always seem to have a lot of different types of popular/Austin art with a cool unique gift shop and a huge selection of custom materials to frame your art. The store is always super clean with a nice scent to the air. I have always had the pleasure of working with Alan. He is a local artist and is extremely professional and knows his stuff about picture framing. I highly recommend you to ask to work with him. He has framed some awesome pieces of art. His customer service is top notch. I deeply appreciate him and this frame shop. read more

EXCEPTIONAL! This is the best little frame shop in the world...and I've had things framed in many states, London and Japan. So why is it exceptional? MATTHEW and the team!! Art is often made or ruined by the frame so it's vital to have someone who knows how to design it to bring out the art. You don't want to see the frame first, it needs to highlight what's in it. Here is where Matthew is a master. It takes him seconds to pull it all together and he's not shy to suggest what would work well and then listen to see if I like it. He's always right! I've now taken 17 items into this shop to be framed...6 of them from other places that did a blasé design job. The most difficult was a handmade shall that the interior designer in Haverty's next door said needed to be hung on the wall. I didn't think it was possible! Honestly, I was gobsmacked when Matthew and the owner delivered it and installed it for me! Matthew and his team hand-stitched it onto the matting and then framed it with a wooden frame to give a nod to Quito Ecuador where the shall was made. I also need to highlight the quality and care that the entire team put into framing my art. It's the best I have found!! read more

Carol and Holly were so helpful and patient with my framing project. They're pros and a joy to work with!

They did a great job framing important documents and had really good customer service.

Fast frame did an amazing job framing some precious items for me. One was an embroidered piece of fabric that needed to be stretched and framed. They did it perfectly! It's stretched evenly with zero wrinkles left. Will absolutely be using them again! read more

Great frame selection and service. Had three photos to frame and got help finding the right frame. Quality work but a little pricey.

Glad I walked in. The folks there spent a great deal of time with me on two framing projects, I left with one being framed and one to consider - they printed out all the options with pricing! I couldn't be more pleased with the completed framing! If you're wondering if it's worth it for the museum glass, wonder no further. I thank Fastframe associates for their knowledge, guidance, professionalism, and friendliness. I will return to their business. read more

In 2011, I had one of my husband's favorite artists (N8 Van Dyke) do a custom sketch of him (the gorilla) and our son (the panda) as a birthday gift. The sketch was great. Nate is very talented. Two years passed. We moved 2,000 miles away from Jamaica Plain to Austin, TX. I stumbled upon the sketch whilst unpacking and thought it would make a nice addition to the artwork in our son's room. I did a Yelp search for a framer in the area and found FASTFRAME. I have to admit, the all caps threw me off. The reviews enticed me though and I thought, "What the fuck?". It had been a while since I took a gamble (thank you motherhood). I woke up in October and was reminded this is the worst month financially for me. Our wedding anniversary and my husband's birthday (both in October) drain my bank account- never mind the holidays are right around the corner. I remembered I had bought the Yelp deal and decided I would use it. THEY DID A PHENOMENAL JOB. Granted it cost me more than the $45 for $100 Yelp deal, but I I wanted things that cost extra. I will definitely be returning! read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. I have taken 4 items there to be framed. They always take a long time (at least 2 months) but the results, the first three times, were lovely. The most recent time, I was not happy with the results. I discussed it with them, we agreed what had to be done. Then 6 weeks later they called and told me they were not going to change it because it already met their standards and they don't have time to redo things they already think look good. They did offer a refund; I didn't even need to ask for it. But I do not understand why the changes couldn't be made and why they took an extra 6 weeks to tell me they were not going to do anything. addition: They were framing a cross-stitch piece for me. The piece was stitched on 14 count white Aida cloth. They mounted it on green foam. The green showed through the fabric. I asked them to change the underlay to white. They refused. I took it to a different framer who did as I asked, and it most certainly did improve it. I'll attach before and after pictures. But even if you don't think it matters, I'm still surprised that FastFrame refused to make this simple change to present my work the way I wanted it done. read more

Great quality framing job. If you're unsure of what look, size, etc you want they will give you great ideas on frames, colours, etc and different options for pricing. I just dropped off my items today to be framed, so I haven't seen the end result, but I loved working with Matthew and I was so impressed with his shop! They have a huge variety of frames and mats, and I know I'm going to love what they do. They also do custom shadowboxes as well, which I called about. Extremely friendly and knowledgable and professional, worth every cent! I know I'll be back to get some Christmas gifts as well, they have lots of unique Austin items for sale as well. This is much better than going to a big box craft store, Matthew knew some of my items were personal (and some historical) and so we were able to get museum quality glass for preservation. Can't wait to see the final product! read more

Worked with Matthew on 3 pieces I had that needed to be framed. I had no idea what I was doing, but Matthew was incredibly patient and helped me pick out everything. I recently picked them up and am so impressed by how they turned out. He did a wonderful job and his ability to see the pieces and what colors and frame would go together was amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better first time framing experience, and as I acquire more pieces I will definitely return to them! Thank you so much! read more

On my first trip to Australia over 20 years ago, I bought tiny artwork from a local artist. I kept it all these years. This year I decided to do something with it but could not find a frame due to its size. I went to Michael's and they did not do custom unique sizes but recommended FastFrame. I called on a Saturday and it was five minutes past closing. However someone answered! His name was Matthew. He was friendly and didn't sound like I was a bother. In fact he asked how far away I was. I said 5-10 minutes. He said he would wait for me! He helped me choose the frame and size. I picked it up couple months ago and absolutely love it! If I could give them extra stars for their service I would! I'll be using them again and highly recommend them. read more

I always have such a great experience here. We've gotten a total of now 10 pieces done at this location and love every one -- the quality is great are there are tons of options. Carroll has especially been great to us, taking the time to help us pick out frames and mats for 6+ pieces of art at a time and I can be pretty picky. Now when we get new art we think 'Can't wait to show Carroll!' read more

My son and I went to the Pecan Festival in Austin, TX September 24, 2016. We had such a great time visiting all the businesses along the streets, eating foods and people watching. We walked by some artist drawing caricature portraits and had one done of us. The portrait looked just like us and it was funny. I wanted it framed and matted so I asked my son to find the nearest business that was open. The search came up with Fastframe. I did not get the man's name that helped us but he showed me different mating combinations and took his time with us. I live in Victoria, TX and I needed the portrait mailed to me. Not a problem! When it arrived it looked SUPER and there was no damaged due to the expert wrapping. I highly recommend Fastframe! Monday, March 13, 2017 I returned to Fastframe (same location) with three posters: Picasso,Dali, and Amen. Kurt helped me with different color matting and framing combinations. I was able to get Conservation glass due to coupon Kurt used. The color of matting and the frames I was helped with really brought out the colors in each poster. And since I resell these old posters this will be a great asset to the poster and future buyers. I again Highly recommend Fastframe and Kurt for any matting, framing, or other professional services offered. read more

This is as good as it gets! I took an original painting in to FastFrame knowing sort of what I wanted but needed some guidance. Carol helped me, and took the whole process from beginning, to framing it, to being there when I picked it up. She assured me that while it was being framed that the painting was in a very safe place. When she showed me the finished project, I almost cried with joy! The frame was perfect for the painting. Perfect! I am so happy with the results, and the painting hangs next to me at my desk. Thank you, Carol, from a very happy customer. read more

I found FastFrame online while trying to find a place to get my college diploma framed. I've never gotten anything framed before. To add to the confusion, Rice University is one of the few universities still offering the sheep skin option and not many places around Austin know how to frame a sheep skin correctly. This diploma meant a lot to me and I wanted it to be done perfectly. My experience with FastFrame has been perfect from the beginning. I called the place just to gather some information and in the process, Jim the framer immediately explained to me in detail the process of framing a sheep skin. I had bought my own frame somewhere else so I was told to just bring the diploma and frame in. Everyone at the store was very nice and the entire framing process was explained to me in detail. This gave me great comfort to leave my diploma and my frame in their hands. The framing was completed within the estimated amount of time (about a week) and it cost me about $100 total (I bought an anti-reflective glass as well). The dimension of my diploma is 23''x18''. I'm very satisfied with the way my diploma was framed. A very tiny bit of the double sided tape is showing at the very top of the diploma but you can't see it unless you're inches away from it. I think I'm just being extremely picky =P It's been 6 months and my diploma still remains just the way it was when I got it back. Apparently Jim has over 30 years of experience so I think it's worth to come here just due to his experience. So if you really care about what you're framing, this is the place. read more
