I've trained in the US and in Canada, and Robyn has them all beat. To start, she sat and talked with me about my goals and my injuries, and I could tell from the beginning that she had a deep understanding of what I wanted to get out of our sessions. After an initial assessment, the training began, and she consistently pushed me outside my comfort zone but within my ability range. Anyone who deals with injuries knows that pushing too far too fast only results in damage and more time recuperating, and Robyn helped me find that perfect balance. Not once during our sessions did I find myself regretting pushing so hard, and I knew that she had her eye on my form, making sure that I did everything perfectly. She is a professional and takes her work seriously, and it shows. Not only did she work with me on a weekly basis, but she provided a written description of the exercises we had completed and how I should continue with them in our "off" time. If you've ever worked with another trainer, you'll know that is not standard! Long story short, I began struggling on V1s and finished, 8 sessions later, projecting on V6s with no sign of injury. Then I stopped going all together and began eating more and more unhealthy. Next thing I know; I've gained 65lbs. I knew it was time for a change, but I didn't know how to do it and at this point I didn't think I could do it on my own. I've known Kenny for about 8 years and in that time, he's always been positive, hard-working and does whatever he sets his mind to. When he became a coach for the Dolce Diet, I knew he was type of person I needed to help me make this change. This was not an easy journey for me, to say the least. During this time, I was in a conflict with myself about losing weight and living a healthier lifestyle. My moment of clarity was when I took my shirt off in front of my son and he said "haha daddy fat" - this is when it hit me that I needed to make a change. I gave Kenny my word that I would do this and he gave me his word he would give me his all to help.   After all this the results speak for themselves.   When I got my meal plan in my hands it felt like I had the recipe in my hands for a better body and a better mind, but this wasn't enough for Kenny. Kenny went above and beyond to to help me. Kenny showed up to my house to pick me up and took me grocery shopping so that I didn't feel overwhelmed with the whole new shopping experience for food. His knowledge and experience with this lifestyle had me in awe -  He explained everything and showed me where to get the best ingredients and so when I got home and had all of this new food what does Kenny do? He offers to help me meal prep! We spent probably over three hours preparing my first week of meals and this put me at ease to see how easy it can be to cook your own delicious meals.   After this I was set up for success. Kenny made sure to check in with me EVERYDAY. I logged my weight and how I was feeling. My first day I lost 3lbs! Kenny kept me focused and any hurdle I hit he was all over it with an answer.  Even when my work switched me to nights I called Kenny and he had a new plan of attack for me with in an hour. I can't thank him enough and Sam - she is amazing as well. She was very quick to respond and get any questions we had answered. In two years, I've lost 65 pounds and built more muscle than I thought was possible. Those numbers are incredible on their own, but they don't even scratch the surface of what makes Chase exceptional. The guy just knows his stuff. Fitness, nutrition, programming- he understands it all at a level that most trainers don't come close to. What blows me away is how much we pack into a single hour. We're hitting multiple training qualities at once and it never feels thrown together- it's always intentional. What really sets Chase apart is how adaptable he is. Life gets busy, schedules change, some days you just don't have it- and he meets you right where you are every single time. He doesn't expect your life to fit around training, he fits training around your life. That's honestly a big reason I've stayed consistent long enough to actually see results. He also keeps me accountable, but in a way that makes me want to show up, not dread it. No guilt trips, no pressure. Just someone who genuinely cares whether you succeed. She broke the surgeons records for full motion recovery in all age groups. She continues with parkinsons focused exercise patterns suggested by her physical therapist. My experience with Chase involves progressive weight training. My fly fishing arm exhaustion has been cured and I can step over fallen timber better than ever. Further, when I overdo my back, all is better after session with Chase. I'm working through a few long term injuries and he's created a program to ensure I don't make the injuries worse as well as strengthened my entire body and improved my mobility. I really don't even remember the names of the coaches I had because the personality was lacking along with motivation. -People here do NOT follow the number system when moving from tread to rower to floor and staff does nothing about it. This drives me absolutely bonkers because once this happens it causes a chain reaction of people having to move and not knowing where they are going, therefore slowing down the workout. -Just not my people. This is a studio for younger folk who want to talk/gossip more than workout. I'm used to a more focused/serious group that is there to get the best workout possible. So yeah, obviously not my choice studio but I like it because it's pretty central so I can meet a friend for a workout. OTF is awesome but I wish this studio would work on the items above.

There was little to no form corrections but the coach. They were focused on getting people to the correct stations, and calling time. I've learned that what Katie and Chris offer at the Sloans Lake and RINO F45 sites is really really special. Not only do her trainers seriously rock as authentic, motivating and caring people (literally every single one of them - Tristan, Nisha, Kenzie, Jocelyn, Jess, Gabby, Anna, Zack) but they go above-and-beyond to ensure they take care of you before, during and AFTER the workouts. Case in point - they take at least 5 min of careful guided stretching after the workouts to make sure you don't accidentally injure yourself. They also ALWAYS have alternative modified moves in case you have an existing injury. I took this hands on support for granted because I was spoiled at Sloans Lake and recognized this serious differentiator while visiting other sites that didn't have that level of support. (If I sound like I am enamored, it is because I definitely am. :)
