    After "cleaning"

This is the worst place you can work. They treat their staff like absolute shit with horrible management, or lack there of, and no solutions or effort to fix long time problems. The only good part is you get paid decently. But the "management" is chaotically disorganized, dishonest, and ultimately horrific. They fail to staff their facilities well if at all most time and will completely disregard your availability. As a former lifeguard, we don't want to be like this either. If we don't kick guests out of lap for not swimming laps, or take our eyes off the water to make sure your crying son is okay, we get punished. Blame management not the guards, we're just as annoyed as you. This facility is also incredibly dirty, as they only allow 30 minutes of cleaning. The water, floors, and overall facility is disgusting. Senior guards 99% of the time don't help, and don't enforce cleaning on the guards either.

Pool gets zero stars. They must do 50% chlorine 50% water in the pools, hot tubs. Every time I go in, I end up with itchy dry irritated rash red skin. The whole place reeks of chlorine. I've been here 3 times. Every time, I have a reaction to the water. Yes, I shower afterwards, with vinegar soap to counter act the chlorine but it's no use. 15-30 minutes in the water and I'm miserable for days drenched in calamine lotion. If a pool reeks of chlorine, it's not a healthy pool to go in. Locker rooms are decent. I'll give them one star. Workout gym is eh, ok. Very claustrophobic feeling. One star. Whole place is decently clean.

I love this place to work out, as I live right up the hill in back. I like to run on their treadmills, which are in good condition and newer. My wife likes to swim and we both enjoy the hot tub. The kids pool is amazing, it's huge! The ice hockey and skate board park is also pretty awesome! The facility is clean and mostly friendly. For some reason, the woman who hang out up stairs, aren't as friendly as the people downstairs and the life guards. Maybe they could smile sometimes.

Do not use the vending machines here. Just took my cash. Other than that we still love this place.

They have a lap pool and they also have a warmer pool that includes a lazy river and a couple of lap lanes, along with the children's play area. We were there on a weekday afternoon well swim lessons were going on, but had plenty of space to use one lap lane and the lazy river. They have a set of steps to enter by the lazy river and they have a chairlift that enters into one of the lanes. There's also a hot tub that has steps with a rail to get in. In the family locker room there are two accessible changing rooms with a bathroom and shower, including a shower bench and adjustable showerhead. They have an automatic door opener, which is phenomenal, however, the lock is up pretty high, which makes it less accessible for wheelchair users, and short people. there are two other changing rooms in the family locker space that don't have the automatic button, adjustable showerhead, or shower bench, or grab bars on the toilet, but are still fairly large and have space for a wheelchair user There was plenty of accessible parking and automatic doors to get into the building. The space exiting was pretty tight due to how they have the chairs arranged, somebody with a larger wheelchair may have to exit through the entry lane. We also used the steam room, there was no automatic door, but the door wasn't terribly heavy. We've been to lots of rec centers in the Denver Metro area, and this is definitely one of the most accessible

When I read the last review I whispered to myself, ohhhhhh sweetheart, this review died years ago…read more So Auntie Ang has arrived to perform a public service. YELP EMERGENCY UPDATE!! This is no longer the sad little "1980's called and wants its pool back" situation the last of these reviews fondly described. BABY. She has been REBORN. This is the brand-new Meyers Arvada Apex pool, and she is serving fresh concrete, sparkling water, giant windows, and enough shiny newness to make every old review spontaneously combust. We're talking:A 50-meter by 25-meter Olympic-size competition pool because apparently we're training future Michael Phelpses now. (Calm down Brenda. I said FUTURE Michael Phelps) A warmer training pool for those of us who enjoy keeping circulation in our limbs. (Oh thank heavens, because when the swim coaches say be faster. I'm more of a, Honey, I'm just trying to regain feeling in my elbows. ) A gorgeous new diving well because drama belongs in the water, not in the Yelp reviews......so they sayyyyyyyyyy (wink) Now, before you throw your goggles in the trunk and speed over here with dreams of endless lap lanes, Hold your swim cap. This place is BUSY. Booked. Reserved. Popular. She has a social calendar fuller than mine. There are swim meets , see Jeffco Swim Team and Carmen or Tim (shameless plug for the team and coaches) dive meets, and water events. More whistles than a middle school PE class. So for the love of chlorine, CHECK. THE. SCHEDULE. Call first unless your favorite hobby is showing up with your towel only to find 600 teenagers named Brayden warming up for League Championship. You're welcome. And because I'm basically Yelp's unpaid public relations department, I attached the Summer 2026 schedule, the current pass options, and a video because honestly, she's cute. Let her have her moment. The old reviews? Historical documents. This review? Current events. Go swim. Just maybe not when 47 swim clubs and three synchronized mermaid conventions have rented the place. The verdict: 5 glorious stars I'd give it 6 just because for once, they did something right for the community nice job Arvada. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to stare judgmentally at people who stand in the fast lane and breaststroke sideways.

The last time I came here was over 10 years ago and it is completely revamped. Karyn and Kim were super helpful in getting me started on how the membership works and allowing me to walk around to check out the space before deciding to sign up for the membership. Luckily I'm a resident of Westminster and was able to sign up with a resident discount. The 25 yard lap pool is nice and clean, there is a small diving area and a play pool. The locker rooms are clean and you can rent a locker for free with a collateral like a car key or ID in exchange for a key to a random locker. The showers are equipped with liquid soap, and the bathrooms are clean. We tried the steam room, didn't get a chance to do the hot tub and the sauna yet but those all looked great too. You can get a punch card at a discount if you're not sure membership is the way to go to try them out. There is a small gym area for weights and cardio machines. They offer classes too so check them out online through the Westminster Activities Book. Really glad that we joined the membership - we now have access to all the Westminster Rec Centers.
