It cost me $338 to leave this gym…read more I sustained an injury during a workout at Spenga. On the same day that they approved my "medical furlough" (putting my membership on hold while I was unable to workout), they charged me for a full month of membership, $169. My partner was also out on a medical furlough. When at the end of my furlough, my partner was still unable to return to the gym, I decided to end my membership. I called to cancel, but got talked into keeping my membership on furlough until my partner was well enough to return. When after a couple of months my partner was still out on medical furlough, we both decided to cancel our memberships. When I called to cancel, I pointed out that I had already been charged for an entire month that I could not use and had no intention of coming back to the gym. The owner, Stephanie, told me she required a "final payment" of an additional $169 along with a song and dance about how I could continue to use the gym until such and such a date, completely ignoring me when I told her that I had no intention of coming back to the gym. Think twice before committing to a membership here. It will cost you big bucks to get out of it. It's unfortunate because the instructors are great and really seem to care. Ownership is not and does not.

Checked this studio out on Class Pass after having long wanted to try it; 2 of my friends are…read moreinstructors elsewhere. It was JUST what I needed today! I'm normally an Orangetheory girlie, and have done CycleBar for years, but today I couldn't muster energy for a full 45 minutes of cycle or hour-long treads and weight floor. Spenga had the solution- only 20 min. of spin, 20 min. of strength (I won't hold it against them that it was leg day and I was trying to avoid that), and 20 minutes of yoga. It was impossible to get bored, and I feel refreshed! Added bonus: lovely taking class from Gabrielle, and chatting with her and Emily after class about Dunkin' and all things East Coast. Tip: Be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your first class or you WILL be lost and/or turned away.

What can I say about this studio that isn't widely known already?…read more The coaches are amazing! The equipment is in a great condition and properly serviced. The cleanliness and disinfectant efforts are outstanding. The pricing is impeccable when you consider what you're paying for-- a class time of group personal training, access to cardio and weight equipment, lockers and facilities, exclusive OTF gear (shirts, shorts, pants/leggings, jackets, towels, water bottles, etc.), AND the use of heart rate technology for coaches to view your progress during class and for long-term goals. I once used a personal trainer, and it was just over $2,700 for 25 classes with the trainer, and I had to drive to his apartment to use its gym. Like, OTF is the way to go if you want the dedication, attention to form and progress, accountability, and wonderfully inclusive community. This studio has 13 treadmills, 13 rowers, 13 weight floor spots with additional weights on shelves in two areas, 2 stationary bikes, and a strider (elliptical?). However, with the pandemic still an issue and capacity limitations in place, classes are currently limited to 12 people total (6 treadmill spots and 6 rower spots, with the option of someone using a bike or strider). Classes right now are 45 minutes instead of 60, but with the frequent transitions and "blocks," you definitely get an incredible workout in! The office staff are superb as well, and they're there to troubleshoot any issue or answer any question one may have. Two bathrooms, two showers, MANY lockers, a few water stations, and an amazing sense of community is found here! If you've been on the fence about giving it a try, I can only tell you that I am SO glad I did 18 months ago. I fell in love immediately and have never looked back!

I really enjoyed his workout and the way he came across to the people. You can tell he cared and actually wanted you to get the best workout. We were drop-in's from out of state but will definitely go to this one again. Very welcoming with out of town people. With all that being said we got an awesome workout with great people. Thank you Orange Theory, you rock!
