Started going here a couple months ago. I get a lot of value from these sessions both physically and mentally. My trainer Allan has been great. I'm working through a few long term injuries and he's created a program to ensure I don't make the injuries worse as well as strengthened my entire body and improved my mobility. Not to mention he's just a really nice guy. Everyone there is extremely welcoming. I haven't once felt intimidated. Tony the manager has been nothing but accommodating and just fun to talk with. These a great people, very skilled, provide effective training, and a comfortable environment. Highly recommend check them out. read more

Consistent, focused expert, friendly I feel better!, Happy to keep going. Great setting and staff read more

How much time and energy have you invested in not taking care of yourself? Pretty harsh question to ask yourself but after staring that in the face I decided to focus on things that better myself. I have been working out at Core for 9 months now and I'm hooked. Not only have I dropped weight, gotten stronger but I understand health and fitness much more than I used to. I have struggled with consistency in working out for a long time. After being an athlete in highschool and having 5 knee surgeries as a fallout I felt like I was always nervous working out in case I were to help myself. Shout-out to Hannah for helping me get started, Harrison for helping me become who I want to be and Matt for always being willing to talk and advise when I do tweak anything. Also Sydney, Dylan and Mike....maybe just the whole crew?? Everyone's great. Is it more expensive than other things? ....yes. do you get better results and become a healthier human?.....yes. is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! read more

Plain and simple, do NOT join here. Trainers are great, management is awful. The owners have charged my CC without my consent on multiple occasions for charges I never agreed to. They are VERY unethical . DO Not JOIN read more

I was a client at this gym since November of 2021 and I have expressed this feedback directly with the gym management prior to this post. The rating would be 0 stars, but the personal training staff increased it to 2 stars. Pros: -The trainers. They are excellent and really care about your health journey. My last trainer was Summer and she was amazing, definitely recommend. 10/10!! -Hannah (GM): Overall very nice and I feel as she is doing everything to the best of her ability with no support from her higher ups. The owner and higher ups are only in the business to make a paycheck, without taking any feedback to heart. -Nutritionist: It was $400 to be part of the program and Harrison did an excellent job. Cons: Staff: Overall the trainers don't last long as they are independent contractors and often leave once a better opportunity comes along. I was provided 3 trainers in my time at the gym, so it is hard to get a consistent program in place. -Billing: No transparency at all in this area and very shady. Hourly sessions range from $66-$110, depending on frequency and payment terms. I paid for 72 sessions upfront. Randomly I received an email that my account was going to be charged $5,000 in 5 days for another 72 sessions. Once I brought that up, I was told I was actually past the 72 session pass and that I owed them money for 4 sessions at the $110 rate unless I went back to the 72 session pre-payment. The gym should definitely be more proactive and they should provide the list of sessions used to provide that transparency. Make sure to cancel 30 days prior to your cancellation even if you pre pay for "X" amount of sessions as they will slap that part of contract on you. They state that it is a smaller gym with a "family feel", when in reality it is just a large greedy franchise. -Integrity: I was charged for extra 9 sessions (proven) and I was given the runaround. I asked for a refund and it was money owed and I was told "That isnt possible". Trainer #1 and #2 charged me for sessions when they cancelled due to them having Covid. When you sign up, they tell you that everything is super flexible and it is anything but. When you try to leave, they throw the contract at you and ask for your money. -Cleanliness: Gym was often dirty and the bathrooms smelled funny. I would assume that they only cleaned the gym a couple times per week to save money and on my way out, I overheard that they eliminated the cleaning company, so it will only get worse. -Equipment: Often broken or damaged and had signs saying "Do not step here" or many bands and bars were extremely old or deteriorating. The gym pipes burst several times as the owner refuses to spend money on insulation. As a result, both clients and employees had to ask local businesses to use their restrooms. Overall for the price, there are many more competitors out there that do a much better job and care more about their clients. I spent over $10,000 during my time with them and I felt like the door hit me on the way out. No appreciation, no flexibility and I was only a client number/paycheck for them. I wish the trainers the very best as they were all great people and they also deserve better. read more

I've been working out with Summer at Core Progression for over a year now, and she is awesome! I have seen so many improvements in my fitness levels. She always comes up with new programs that challenge me to get stronger. She also taught an awesome barbell powerlifting class recently that I highly recommend! read more

What a great gym for me. A few months ago, I decided I had enough of sitting all day long for work (and then working after work), so it was time to get off my butt and get stronger. I signed up with Core Progression for 2 training sessions a week, as well as 1 class a week, and it's been absolutely perfect for me. I'm a people pleaser, so training sessions are really the best for me as I'll push myself to impress others and make them happy with me. I have been doing my training sessions with Hannah and she is seriously awesome -- A genuinely nice person who knows her stuff and is there to help you achieve your goals. For classes, I've attended a few different ones and have "enjoyed" all of them. (Enjoyed in quotes because, uhhhh, they're hard. I enjoyed being finished with the class and I was engaged the whole time). I highly recommend coming to Core Progression for any fitness goals you might have. It's a seriously good time and everyone there is always in a great mood! Bonus: you'll be healthier in the long run. read more

Core Progression has gone through Management and Trainer changes since November, 2018. Since then the way they treat their customers engaged in the group class option has significantly decreased. DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THEM. They frequently cancel classes because pretty much everyone has left so they claim they don't have the volume to offer classes. For one example of many, during the week of February 10th, almost every evening class was canceled without explanation or compensation. When you pay a premium for these types of gyms and don't have the opportunity to even sign up for a class, you start to question what you're paying for. read more

The experience of working out at the West Arvada location was good. The trainers are excellent!! Unfortunately, the West Arvada location closed with little notice to the members (maybe a week). The new location was about a fifteen-minute drive from the old location, which is not convenient for an early morning workout. When I tried to inquire about cancelling my membership, the manager (Austin Zakroczemski) would not return my numerous phone calls and emails. I was left no choice but to cancel the charges via my credit card company. Two months later, I received a collection notice with no prior contact/warning from Core Progression. I tried to resolve the situation with the gym's management. They were untimely with their responses and, at times, combative. There is a Colorado Law to protect consumers from the type of deceptive practices employed by Core Progression (Universal Citation: CO Rev Stat § 6-1-704 (2018)), but the management seems to be so desperate for money that they try to circumvent the law. Be very cautious before entering any agreements with Core Progression; they will move the location of your gym with little notice, will fail to communicate with you regarding cancellation procedures, and will send you to collections without the courtesy of any communication. Their operating practices are deceptive and potentially illegal; this is not a reputable business. ------- In response to the comments from Jon: Everything written above is 100% true: 1) We were given approximately a week's notice that the Arvada West location was closing. If needed, other former members can corroborate this fact. 2) The new location is 6.3 miles from the old location (google map the distance from 16255 W 64th Ave, Arvada, CO 80007 to 5790 Yukon St, Arvada, CO 80002); 6.3 miles is hardly "down the street". Also, that distance is important if you read CO Rev Stat § 6-1-704 (2018), which clearly states that a health club engages in deceptive trade practices if it fails to allow the buyer to cancel their membership contract when the "health club is moved to a location that is more than five miles from the location of the establishment when the buyer entered into the membership contract." 3) I never received any communication from Core Progression prior to receiving the collection notice on October 11. As stated above, I tried to contact Austin numerous times and never received a response. Please produce evidence of those letters, email, etc. if you have them. 4) I completed exactly one workout at the 5790 Yukon St. location only because I had one punch left on my 15-workout punch-card. After that workout, I let my trainer (who I did enjoy) know that I would not be returning. 5) I have been trying to resolve this dispute amicably and efficiently with your management for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, this has not happened and, I guess, the tactic of Core Progression is now to resort to personal attacks as displayed above. I am not throwing a temper tantrum here; I wanted to resolve this fairly but, unfortunately, that did not happen. The gym I signed up for was closed. The distance of the new gym was not convenient. I tried to cancel my membership timely. I will not pay for services that I did not use and I am not required to pay for according to Colorado law. read more

This Gym is great!! I was a real fatty when I hit this gym up for help, and they were so judgement free and helpful. My wife Sharon raved about them for years. My experience with them was very pleasant. I was able to go in and talk to Jeff and he laid out pricing, and was very straight forward. The gym was steep in price for my budget but they were more then accommodating, and dropped the price to fit my needs. Everyone was very helpful. The classes were great and it was just a great place to be. I no longer work out here, and my stint was short, but by no fault of them. They just gave me what I need to get back into it on my own. When I walked through there doors I was a short plump little man standing 5'5" and a round 237lb because I went here and had such a great experience it gave me what I needed in order to loose 40lb since January. Not so plump now, but still a little. If you need a great place to help motivate you and help you understand your from and body better this is the place!!! read more

If you are not working out at core progression then you are missing out! The entire staff is very friendly and care about each clients well being. I have been working out there for over 2 years and can never see myself going elsewhere. Hannah is absolutely amazing and listens to my fitness goals. I have seen tremendous progress in my goals since starting. I have an insane schedule and Hannah is able to work around it each week. She caters the workouts so they hit my specific goals while working around injuries. When I can't get a session in with Hannah, other trainers are willing to step in. I have done a few sessions with Harrison and he is equally as incredible. Harrison is very attentive to proper form and getting comfortable with a new workout move before adding heavy weight. The trainers know how to safely push you past your limits. When I started I couldn't do even 1 pull up and now I can do 5, all thanks to Hannah. I cannot recommend core progression enough!!! I absolutely love it! read more

I started working out at Core Progression in November 2019 after being in kind of a slump and have seen awesome results in just 3 short months!! It has completely transformed both my physical and mental health. The staff at Old Town Arvada is always so friendly and welcoming... as are the members, who range from teens to older men/women, so anyone will feel comfortable and welcome workout out at Core. Jon Cerf and his staff definitely know what they are doing and it shows through their ability to put together personalized programs based on the results you desire. Every workout is different and every single workout completely kicks my booty... I have been pushed in ways I haven't been in years but am so glad that found and joined Core Progression!! I love that it is personalized, they keep you motivated, monitor your progress and genuinely care about your fitness journey. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to get back in shape and/or push themselves in ways they otherwise wouldn't. I can't wait to see what changes the next 3 months bring! read more

I have been training at Core Progression since June of 2014. I was skeptical at first because I am over 50 and thought that losing weight would be impossible. Especially because I am not a lover of cardio at all. I met with Randall and explained that I was not willing to workout several days per week, I said I do not like cardio and I did not want to give up Wine! And even with all of those crazy demands, I have gone from 35% body fat to 15% body fat, lost over 25 lbs and I am in the best shape since high school. Randall advised me on a nutritional plan and I worked out with him twice a week for 30 minutes each time!!! I am so thankful to Randall and Core Progression for customizing my workout which got me to a place I never thought I would get to again. I highly recommend Core Progression for all of your fitness goals. read more

My husband and i have lost over 80 lbs combined. There are so many weight loss opportunities advertised and its hard to know what to do. We put our trust in Randall and the results are life changing. Randall taught us how to change what was going into our bodies. We changed what we bought at the grocery store. You truly ARE what you eat. He created work outs that strengthened our bodies. My husband thought he needed back surgery and the doctor recommended he strengthen his body for a shorter recovery time. So my husband lost 40 lbs and is strong like ox. Turns out he doesn't need back surgery after all. He needed to change his body to rid himself of the pain he was in. Randall is an easy going trainer who will listen to your needs and teach you how to reach your goal. All it takes is trust and that first step. read more

I started attending Core Progression for personal training and classes, and can say I absolutely love coming here! Prior to starting at Core Progression I was extremely consistent with my workouts. I was addicted to cardio because I did not feel comfortable, or have the proper knowledge, in lifting weights. Although I worked out all of the time I was actually gaining weight, unmotivated and starting to resent all aspects in trying to become healthy. I have been working with Austin (Arvada location) for 1.5 months and he has been a game changer for me. I've been able to see/feel results within the first month of working with him and I've honestly never been happier with the decision to actually invest in myself by coming here. I'm excited to see positive physical changes in my body but one of the greatest thing is that I am actually enjoying the process; I actually enjoy having my butt kicked every week by Austin and haven't dreaded going to one workout. I've felt very supported by him even outside of my training sessions as I'm able to text anytime and utilize an app that has my personalized plan programmed in it and a public forum to ask questions on. Also, as an introvert I have a hard time reaching out to people, but I have been able to utilize every single trainer in this gym. They're all so extremely easy to talk to and have made it very easy to pick their brains to getting additional help on things like nutrition or anything health related. I have tried other trainers in the past and honestly Core Progression stands above the competition. read more

It's OK, 3 days a week for the 6 week challenge. The offerings I had at a particular time slot were the same exact workout (Speed and Strength) 2 days a week but was able to choose a different time on Saturdays which were (Hard Core) but still the same thing every week for the 6 weeks. Expensive for the little results I got at $250 (18 sessions max). read more

Core Progression isn't the fancy, shiny, trendy gym you go to when you want to use a couple 2lb free weights and feel better about yourself. This is the no nonsense place you go to when you want to get your butt kicked & feel like you survived a tornado for the next few days. Randall is an excellent, knowledgeable trainer who never lets a workout get boring. I've been going almost a year and never done the same workout twice. He addresses eating habits and workouts during the week so I get the results I want. There are a lot of other gyms in Denver, but no way I would go anywhere else. read more
